A.I. Researcher Humanity's Toast By End of Decade!!!

A researcher at a big-time A.I. safety and research company says he's quitting the biz because the industry is rushing to build systems that will spin out of control and destroy humanity ... and he says the people building A.I. "earnestly believe it could kill us all by the end of the decade."

Jacob Coxon quit his job as a researcher at Anthropic, where his specialty was training new A.I. models that consume vast amounts of data ... and he's sounding the alarm on his way out the door.

Coxon told the Wall Street Journal he decided to leave the company because he believes the AI systems he worked with will one day run amok and wipe out civilization.

He also said his colleagues are now using words such as "crunchtime" and "endgame" to characterize how they've fast-tracked the self-improving A.I. models.

Donald Trump is turning up the heat on Iran -- at least online -- posting a wild A.I.-generated video appearing to show one of the country's most important oil hubs getting absolutely obliterated.

Trump posted the clip Monday .... showing massive explosions ripping across Kharg Island, writing that the island was being "blown to smithereens."

Problem is ... there's no evidence that actually happened.

Rep. Mike Collins' former staffer -- who claims to be a social media provocateur -- posted images associated with the KKK and Nazis and called himself a "twink fascist" ... and the Congressman is condemning the posts.

Preston Parra posted shocking images online ... one of which is an A.I. picture of himself dressed in Ku Klux Klan regalia. Parra told The Washington Post he used X's A.I. chatbot, Grok, to make him look like a klansman.

Sam Altman and his sister are going back and forth in court over her submitting to a medical examination over her claims of childhood abuse ... TMZ has learned.

According to court docs, Ann Altman is opposing the upcoming exam scheduled for August 26, claiming the conditions and scope of the exam were disclosed less than a week beforehand.

She said she never agreed to talk about anything other than her claims of suffering from PTSD, but says the doctor set to examine her is planning to assess "any mental disorder."

The image circulating on social media appears to show the Grammy-winning rapper, whose real name is Durk Devontay Banks, with a bald head and wearing what appears to be jail clothing.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... that's not a real photo of Durk. We're told Durk currently has a short haircut, but he is not bald like the man depicted in the viral image.

The rapper -- dressed in '80s garb with a lit cigarette -- stopped by "TMZ Live" Thursday and said he only used A.I. for some synths and guitar solos ... stressing he spent three months in the studio, wrote every song, and performed every vocal himself.

Tyga blamed the confusion on Gen Z not reading his original comments ... and shrugged off Pitchfork's rare 0/10 rating ... joking, "I don’t really know what Pitchfork is. All I know is the devil uses a pitchfork."

Reviewer Drew Millard deemed the record "slop pop," calling it "smug and complacent and depressing."

He continued by delivering a lethal blow ... "Its very existence has made the world a worse place."

Miller slammed the musician for admittingly using A.I. on the project, saying ... "I'm not saying the record is A.I.-generated; all I'm saying is that I was personally able to generate a song that sounded exactly like '$TARFACE,' assuming it had included a song about a critic trying to write a review of a Tyga album."

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman is asking a judge to intervene in his legal battle with his sister, Ann Altman, over childhood sexual abuse allegations ... TMZ has learned.

According to court docs, obtained by TMZ, Sam claims his sister has failed to turn over requested docs and schedule a time for her deposition or her independent medical exam in the case.

Sam said his lawyers have pressed for answers from his sister -- who is representing herself -- but he claims she has failed to turn over a ton of important info in the case and coordinate her schedule for the deposition and medical exam. He's asking the judge to order her to comply with the case deadlines and warn her that her case could be dismissed if she fails to do so.

Internet sleuths are pointing out all sorts of strange things going on in the image, particularly around McConnell's hand holding the Sunday sports page of the Washington Post.

Meagan Good Viral Baby Bump Photo Is A.I. Slop

A photo making the rounds on social media has sparked rumors that Meagan Good is pregnant ... but TMZ has learned she's not expecting and the image has been doctored.

We're told the viral pic is an A.I.-altered image. The original photo is actually a paparazzi agency image from 2015 that was digitally manipulated to make it appear Meagan is showing a baby bump.

There are also some obvious signs the image was altered. Take a closer look and you'll notice what appears to be extra fingers on Meagan's hands -- a common giveaway in A.I.-generated or A.I.-edited images.
