Lil Durk Viral Mug Shot Is Fake, A.I.-Generated Image Circulates Online

A supposed mug shot of Lil Durk is making the rounds online ... but TMZ has learned the image is bogus and is the latest example of AI slop.

The image circulating on social media appears to show the Grammy-winning rapper, whose real name is Durk Devontay Banks, with a bald head and wearing what appears to be jail clothing.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... that's not a real photo of Durk. We're told Durk currently has a short haircut, but he is not bald like the man depicted in the viral image.

We also reached out to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles about the purported mug shot, and a spokesperson told us ... "Photos are not releasable."

Durk has been behind bars since his October 2024 arrest in connection with an alleged murder for hire plot.

Federal prosecutors allege Durk sought revenge after his friend and fellow rapper King Von, real name Dayvon Daquan Bennett, was fatally shot in 2020 outside an Atlanta hookah lounge.

Prosecutors claim members of Durk's crew later targeted rapper Quando Rondo in California in 2022 ... but Quando survived the shooting while his cousin, Lul Pab, was killed.

Durk has denied wrongdoing and remains in federal custody in California while awaiting trial.
