Sydney Sweeney is hoping to punch her ticket to the Oscars next year as she takes on the role of Christy Martin in the upcoming biopic ... and we have the first shots from the film!

The photos and video obtained exclusively by TMZ shows the actress playfully sparring in a ring with the boxing legend herself.

The two seem to get along as they gently jab at each other, Christy obviously holding back on the "White Lotus" breakout. It’s unclear if this moment will be in the film or if it was just part of a promotional shoot, but it’s cute either way.

Dillon Danis and KSI are hoping the second time is the charm ... as they're slated to duke it out in a boxing match next month in Manchester, England!!

The YouTuber-turned-boxer made the announcement Tuesday morning ... saying, "When I found out I had the opportunity to fight [Danis], I had to take it up."

The two were first supposed to face off back in January 2023 ... but Danis pulled out -- which led KSI's team to say he was "unprepared" and that he was struggling with his weight.

A boxing match Sunday night looked more like WWE ... as two heavyweights did their best table spot in the middle of the bout -- tumbling through the ropes and crashing into the commentator set.

The moment went down on the Claressa Shields vs Danielle Perkins undercard ... with Brandon Moore taking on Skylar Lacy in the co-main event.

Once Round 8 came around, things went off the rails. It seemed as if Lacy was going in for the clinch, but he continued to push Moore toward the ropes ... eventually, sending the two tumbling outside the ring.

Jake and Logan Paul are not fighting ... in fact, they're actually teaming up -- with the two internet superstars announcing the launch of their own reality TV show.

The WWE Superstar and boxer admitted they weren't prepping to face off in the boxing ring during an Instagram Live on Thursday ... saying what they really got in the works is something better.

Claressa Shields is raving about the new biopic, "The Fire Inside," chronicling the boxing star's rough-and-tumble upbringing in Michigan ... a "surreal" film "T-Rex" says will positively impact countless people!

"I just believe it's very inspiring," Shields told TMZ Sports. "I've seen my movie now nine times and to see Ryan Destiny portray me as well as she did. I know that 'The Fire Inside' is going to change lives. [Ryan] did such a great job."

The movie, which dropped on Christmas, tells Shields' story as a young female fighter in Flint  -- overcoming challenges such as sexual abuse, abandonment, and poverty -- to the Olympic podium, where she made history as the first American woman to win gold in boxing.

Jamel Herring -- a former junior lightweight boxing champion -- was arrested in Ohio on Thursday night after an alleged violent incident.

The 39-year-old was booked shortly after 6:30 PM, jail records show ... on misdemeanor charges of assault and domestic violence. Bail for each charge ranged from $50K to $75K.

According to an incident report, obtained by TMZ Sports, Herring's wife went to the Mason Police Department on Jan. 8 to speak with officers about an alleged incident that happened four days prior.

A boxing referee turned into a human punching bag on Tuesday ... getting hit in the face multiple times as he tried to break up the action -- but surprisingly, he took it all like a champ!!

It happened at the RIZIN 49: Decade event in Saitama, Japan ... where Rukiya Anpo -- who was originally scheduled to fight Ryan Garcia -- took on K-1 champ Sina Karimian in the bout.
