8:31 AM PT -- We asked Spencer if he has ever lived in the trailer, and he said no, adding, "I have never told anyone I lived there." However, in the campaign ad, he says squarely, "This is where I live" as he stood in front of the trailer.

Spencer Pratt has gained traction in his campaign for L.A. Mayor by showing what he says Karen Bass did to his family -- forcing them to live in a trailer after his home burned down. But TMZ has learned ... he's traded in the trailer for one of the swankiest hotels in L.A. ... but Spencer says he was forced to ditch the trailer because of death threats.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Spencer has been staying at the Hotel Bel-Air for more than a month. We're also told his wife, Heidi, and their kids are staying in Carpinteria, just north of L.A. So the trailer is sitting lonely.

Folks on a Carnival cruise ship near the Bahamas watched in horror as a search and rescue mission launched for a man who jumped off the ship ... and we've got photos and video from the scene.

A married couple traveling on the Carnival Liberty tells TMZ ... they were sitting at a bar when they heard the "man overboard" call ... and then a rescue boat went into the water, and the captain came on and told passengers they were turning back to look for the person.

We're told the rescue boat ultimately returned to the ship and passengers could see Carnival personnel performing CPR on the man.

Kim Scott -- Eminem's ex-wife -- has been arrested after allegedly hitting another parked car ... this just days after pleading no contest to 2 misdemeanors connected to a previous crash.

Chesterfield Township PD Detective Sergeant Joseph Feld tells TMZ ... Scott allegedly struck a car in the 21 Mile Zone near Detroit around 9:20 PM Wednesday. No injuries were reported, and we don't know where Scott was going to or coming from.

Cops took Scott into custody and booked her on a suspected DUI charge at Macomb County Jail in Mt. Clemens, Michigan early Thursday morning. It appears she's since been released.

8:21 AM PT -- A rep for Britney tells TMZ ... "This is completely blown out of proportion. Britney was enjoying a quiet dinner with her assistant and bodyguard. She was simply telling the story about how her dog was barking at the neighbors."

They continue, "At no point did she put anyone in danger with a knife. She was cutting her hamburger in half. This constant attack on everything that she does and this is exactly what happened 20 years ago when the media tried to depict Britney as a bad person. This is ridiculous and it needs to stop now."

Britney Spears enjoyed a night out with friends at a Los Angeles area restaurant ... but TMZ has learned things got erratic fast -- with barking, yelling and even a knife involved.

Here's the deal ... sources tell us the Princess of Pop grabbed a corner table with a man and a woman at Blue Dog Tavern in Sherman Oaks Wednesday night ... and quickly started causing a scene.

A passenger has died after jumping overboard from a Carnival cruise ship near the Bahamas ... TMZ has learned.

Sources on board the cruise tell TMZ ... the man went into the water from the Carnival Liberty as it traveled just outside Nassau Tuesday. We're from someone on board that a life ring was thrown to the passenger, but he was soon out of sight, prompting an immediate search and rescue effort.

A Carnival spokesperson tells TMZ ... the guest climbed over his stateroom balcony and went overboard while the ship was sailing from Celebration Key to Nassau. Crew members immediately launched a search and were able to recover him from the water, but he did not survive.

Tiffany Haddish's attorneys have had it with the comedian's seemingly never-ending DUI case, demanding the whole thing be tossed since there wasn't a single injury or victim!

Earlier this week, Haddish's lawyers, Marissa Goldberg and Drew Findling, filed a motion saying her 4-year-old misdemeanor case for driving under the influence should be thrown out of court because it's stuck in legal limbo and negatively impacting her career.

But now the attorneys are going even further, telling TMZ  ... "The procrastinated failure to rule on a misdemeanor case with no victims or injuries is unprecedented."

Chris Brown's ex-housekeeper is asking a judge to keep out evidence that a member of Brown's team gave her money for medical bills after his dog attacked her ... claiming it's not relevant to the case.

Maria Avila filed court documents last week telling a judge she believes defendants may attempt to introduce evidence she received money from a man named Emil Lewis or another third party.

She says Lewis has made statements that he gave the plaintiff "tens of thousands of dollars for payment of [her] medical bills" after the dog attack. Maria says she disputes this claim.

They tell us they aren't losing sleep that hantavirus could affect their travels or the cruise industry as a whole ... and they even plan to voyage on their next aquatic adventure starting June 5.

Jazzy tells TMZ she feels saddened that hantavirus has caught cruising some bad flak ... 'cause no one is going on a trip with intentions of spreading sickness. But she doubles down that no one should treat this like the end of the world.

Kim Kardashian's shapewear brand is being sued by a man who claims her company didn't pay him his fair share while he worked there … and now he's trying to round up other employees in a class-action lawsuit ... but SKIMS says it's all BS.

A man named David Knight just filed a lawsuit against SKIMS ... claiming he wasn't paid his full wage when he worked for SKIMS from October 2025 to December 2025 in California.

Knight claims he and other workers weren't paid overtime despite working over 8 hours a day and 40 hours per week ... and he says they weren't given legally required meal breaks or rest periods.

There's a settlement in a wrongful death lawsuit about Aaron Carter ... TMZ has learned.

Aaron's ex-fiancée Melanie Martin filed a lawsuit on behalf of their son, Princeton Lyric Carter, back in October 2023 ... claiming Aaron's drowning death was set in motion by doctors, dentists, mental health clinics, and pharmacies that prescribed him various medications.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, one psychiatrist and one mental health clinic named in the lawsuit reached a confidential financial settlement in April.

5/13 6:47 PM PT -- A spokesperson for 8500 Burton Way tells TMZ ... "This is a frivolous lawsuit. The matter has been investigated by LAPD, which has found no unauthorized entry or access to the apartment. The allegations in this complaint are baseless and without merit."

Natalia Barulich is taking legal action against a luxury Los Angeles apartment building tied to real estate mogul Rick Caruso, claiming she was lured in by promises of top-tier security and safety ... only to become the victim of a massive, multimillion-dollar burglary ... TMZ has learned.

According to docs, obtained by TMZ, the model and musician who once dated Maluma says she signed a lease at the upscale 8500 Burton Way building, paying around $12K a month after being assured the property had round-the-clock security, controlled access, and no history of break-ins.

She claims that while traveling internationally in October 2025, burglars got into her unit and made off with more than $2.1 million in luxury goods ... including designer handbags, watches, jewelry, and other property.

Cardi B and Stefon Diggs might not be as chummy as they looked over Mother's Day weekend ... because we've obtained video of them engaged in an intense debate in Maryland.

The video -- taken Wednesday afternoon outside a coffee shop and a gym in Burtonsville, Maryland, near Washington, D.C. -- shows Cardi aggressively yelling at Diggs ... who is leaned back, arms crossed, against his sportscar.

We can't tell what she's yelling ... but, she gets so animated that another dude with her comes up and puts a hand on her in an attempt to calm her down. A source tells us they overheard Cardi say "That bitch is messy" -- unclear to whom she was referring.
