Matty Healy's mom caught a lot of heat for her recent comments about Taylor Swift ... and, it might be getting to her -- because she was just spotted crying on a city sidewalk.

The singer-songwriter was seen hugging his mother, Denise Welch, outside a high-priced restaurant in West Hollywood on Thursday before sitting on the curb and chatting with her while she dabbed her eyes with a tissue.

The two seem deep in a difficult conversation ... with Healy appearing animated at one point while his mom was shedding tears.

Paris Jackson and her music producer fiancé Justin Long are NOT going to be walking down the aisle ... because they've called off their engagement, TMZ has confirmed.

The split comes just 8 months after Michael Jackson's daughter announced Justin popped the question while they were in Paris, France.

3:31 PM PT -- A judge has signed an order requiring Aaron to return Denise's personal phone and laptop within 48 hours ... Aaron is also prohibited from distributing any images of Denise's intimate body parts.

Denise Richards' divorce from Aaron Phypers is getting even messier ... because she's now claiming he violated her restraining order against him and stole her laptop containing nude photos.

In new court docs filed Monday ... Denise says Aaron violated the temporary restraining order by "disturbing her peace" when he sent her private information to the media from her laptop -- namely text messages and naked pics. She's asking the judge to order Aaron to return the laptop and all of its pictures and recordings, along with any cell phones he may have of hers.

She's asking for him to turn the items over to her lawyer, and she'll pick them up from him.

Denise also wants Aaron to be "prohibited from using, delivering, copying, printing, or disclosing any text messages, emails, photos, notes or other content from my cell phone or laptop or any other of my electronic devices."

The Bravo host pointed out Taylor wrote songs on her album, "The Tortured Poets Department," about her short-lived 2023 romance with Matty, and he asked Denise for her reaction to the 2024 record.

David Geffen's divorce is getting nasty ... because his estranged husband is suing him for breach of contract and airing a bunch of alleged dirty laundry.

Geffen's ex, David Andrew Armstrong (AKA Donovan Michaels) beelined it to court Tuesday and filed an explosive lawsuit against the entertainment mogul ... claiming the 82-year-old billionaire was "masquerading as a white knight while hiding behind wealth, philanthropy and fame."

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Armstrong claims they first met on the website Seekingarrangements.com ... he says Geffen paid him $10,000 for sex on the first night, then began treating him as "a living social experiment."

Shia LaBeouf is no longer being sued by his ex-girlfriend FKA Twigs ... because we've learned they settled her explosive lawsuit out of court.

Shia's lawyer, Shawn Holley, and FKA's attorney, Bryan Freedman, tell TMZ ... "Committed to forging a constructive path forward, we have agreed to settle our case out of court. While the details of the settlement will remain private, we wish each other personal happiness, professional success and peace in the future."

New legal docs obtained by TMZ also show FKA Twigs asked the court to dismiss all claims against Shia with prejudice, meaning she cannot refile the case in the future.

Gwyneth Paltrow wasn't wishing Brad Pitt her best when he tied the knot with Jennifer Aniston ... at least, according to a new biography on the A-list actor.

Amy Odell, a biographer who wrote "Anna: The Biography" in 2022, has a new book out July 29, all about the actress and Goop founder, based on interviews she says she conducted with people in Paltrow's orbit. As far as we know, she didn't speak with GP for the book.

In the book, Odell says Paltrow told friends she was sad ... adding that she regularly blasted his taste in women around this time as well.
