Leonardo DiCaprio regrets not hooking up with Rollergirl and Amber Waves back in the 1990s ... admitting he wishes he took the lead role in "Boogie Nights."

The actor sat down with Paul Thomas Anderson -- director of the iconic 1997 film about the porn industry, who also directed Leo in the upcoming flick "One Battle After Another" -- for an Esquire interview ... and, he says he regrets turning down the lead role in a "profound movie of my generation."

DiCaprio admits he can't see anyone besides his pal Mark Wahlberg -- who he actually recommended for the role after they appeared in "The Basketball Diaries" together -- in the part, and he calls the movie a masterpiece ... but, he would've liked to be in it.

Sylvester Stallone is remembering Hulk Hogan as a force to be reckoned with ... and he says we will never see another man like him in wrestling, movies or reality TV.

The 'Rocky' star tells TMZ ... Hulk had a glow about him when they met way back in 1982 on the set of "Rocky III" ... and Sly knew Hulk was destined for superstardom.

Hulk was still establishing himself at the time, and Sly says he found out very quickly the monstrous Hogan was smarter, gentler and more skilled than he looked.

A wildlife advocate says the fireworks in Big Bear could seriously impact the young bald eagles born just a few months ago ... and, they need to be stopped.

We spoke with Sandy Steers -- the executive director of the environmental org. the Friends of Big Bear Valley -- about the July 4th fireworks show in the area ... and, she says she worries about all kinds of wildlife this time of year.

Check it out ... Drew sits awfully close to the lifestyle guru and asks Martha if anything makes her feel "soft and gooey" ... leaving MS a little perplexed by the question. As Martha thinks about her answer, Drew suggestively touches her mouth, prompting her guest to respond, "soft and gooey ... treatment. It's nice."

The encounter on Tuesday's show gets a bit more uncomfortable, however ... watch the video, as Drew ends up stroking Martha's arm in an attempt to get her guest to open up more.

Gayle King's weighing in on Megan Thee Stallion's recent confession that she fibbed about not hooking up with Tory Lanez -- and honestly, she's not taking it too personally.

We caught up with Gayle on Tuesday, and she told TMZ that Megan's lie during her 2022 "CBS Mornings" interview about the July 2020 shooting is ultimately on the star herself -- but there are no hard feelings on her end, and she's still totally rooting for her.

Gayle dives deeper in the clip, explaining she initially wanted to give Megan space to share her side, especially since so many people doubted her story. Ironically, Megan still ended up lying to her -- but Gayle stands by her decision to give her the platform.
