Formula 1’s early-season schedule is about to take a major hit … the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix are expected to be canceled as fighting in the Gulf region continues to escalate.

Confirmation of the scrapped races could come as soon as this weekend, according to a report from crash.net. The events have been in serious doubt since joint U.S.-Israel strikes on Iran triggered fighting across the region.

With security concerns mounting and air travel still disrupted, F1 and the FIA are expected to pull the plug -- despite Saudi organizers reportedly pushing hard to keep the Jeddah race alive.

Things are getting so tense in the U.S.-Iran conflict, even Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent got yanked mid-interview to speak to President Trump!

The whole thing played out on camera -- Bessent was chatting with Sky News' Wilfred Frost for "The Master Investor Podcast" Thursday inside the Treasury Department’s Cash Room ... when an aide suddenly stepped in and summoned him to the White House Situation Room.

It quickly turned into a drop-everything moment -- his mic getting pulled off his jacket as he rushed out -- while Frost sat there looking stunned, insisting it was no problem. Not that it mattered either way.

Donald Trump is ramping up his threats against Iran ... calling its leaders “deranged scumbags” and warning them to brace for what's coming today.

Trump fired off the message in the early hours of Friday morning ... declaring the U.S. is "totally destroying the terrorist regime of Iran" -- militarily, economically, and more.

He touts, "Iran’s Navy is gone, their Air Force is no longer, missiles, drones and everything else are being decimated," and brags the country's leaders have been "wiped from the face of the earth."

It looks like the White House is treating the war with Iran like a video game ... at least based on how they're presenting military footage on social media.

Check out this X post from the official White House account ... it's a mashup of Wii sports and Iran bombings.

We've seen some of this same footage before, with no games being played ... but now the White House look like they're ready to poke fun at war.

Other White House social media posts on the war have drawn ire from actors and singers, like Ben Stiller and Kesha, for using snippets of movies and music.

No word if Nintendo, the Japanese company behind Wii Sports, is pissed over this ... the U.S. has dropped some big bombs before in Japan.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is blasting a report from ABC News claiming Iran wants to attack California as retaliation for the new war in the Middle East ... she says no such threat exists.

Leavitt went scorched-earth on ABC News in a blistering post Thursday on X ... quote-tweeting the ABC News report and writing, "This post and story should be immediately retracted by ABC News for providing false information to intentionally alarm the American people."

She ripped ABC News for what she sees as some shoddy journalism, adding ... "They wrote this based on one email that was sent to local law enforcement in California about a single, unverified tip. President Donald Trump says Iran’s national soccer team can come to the 2026 World Cup in the United States -- but he’s warning them it's probably not a smart move for their "own life and safety."

The president took to Truth Social on Thursday with a mixed message for the Iranian squad ... saying the team would be welcome at the tournament while also suggesting it could be dangerous for them to attend.

“The Iran National Soccer Team is welcome to The World Cup,” Trump wrote. “But I really don’t believe it is appropriate that they be there, for their own life and safety.”

An attack on two Iraqi oil tankers prompted the country's authorities to suspend all oil terminal operations ... as the oil market is experiencing a historic level of disruption across the globe.

According to The New York Times, Iran claimed responsibility for attacking one of the vessels, which is owned by an American company. The outlet reports the other tanker is also believed to have been hit by Iran.

These attacks come after the International Energy Agency announced the world is in the middle of the "largest supply disruption in the history of the global oil market." Adding to the crisis ... Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, the new Supreme Leader of Iran, announced the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed as a "tool of pressure."

Iran says it’s not coming to the World Cup -- and the country’s sports minister is pointing the finger at the United States.

Ahmad Donyamali, Iran’s Minister of Sport and Youth, announced Wednesday that the nation cannot participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup after their Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, was killed during the initial U.S./Israeli strikes during the opening moments of the war.

“Considering that this corrupt regime has assassinated our leader, under no circumstances can we participate in the World Cup,” Donyamali said on state television.

While the regime may be mourning, Khamenei was long called repressive and brutal by many Western countries and human rights organizations.

The sports minister doubled down on the stance … saying the war has made it impossible for the team to compete.

Iran War U.S.-Made Missile Reportedly Found Near School Strike ... Which Trump Initially Blamed on Iran

While Donald Trump initially blamed Iran for an attack on an Iranian elementary school last month, evidence appears to be mounting that the school may have been inadvertently hit by a U.S. missile during a strike targeting an adjacent naval base.

The New York Times reports that Iranian state media claims to have found remnants of an American Tomahawk cruise missile near the ruins of the February 28 strike, which reportedly killed 175 people who were mostly children.

The NYT says they analyzed photos of the recovered missile's parts and determined it to bear the markings of an American missile.
