The play happened just moments ago during the Lions vs Chiefs preseason game ... on third down with three yards to go, Mahomes scrambled to his right -- before flicking the ball toward his main receiving threat.

TK's able to get the first down and more ... ending up just inside the Lions' 25-year-line -- a nice little chunk of yardage from one of the weirdest plays we'll probably see this preseason.

68-year-old Vera Liddell, who worked at an elementary school in a Chicago suburb for nearly a decade, plead guilty to stealing millions in flats and drums over 19 months ... when she was in charge of ordering the food.

Ultimately, Liddell was caught during an audit ... when officials realized the school had gone way over their food budget.

Harrison Butker just addressed his controversial commencement speech with a roomful of Chiefs reporters for the first time since he made the polarizing remarks ... and he was adamant he is NOT a misogynist.

In fact, the Kansas City kicker insisted he's actually the opposite ... telling media members at Chiefs' training camp practice Wednesday, "I love women."

The Kansas City Chiefs are standing behind Harrison Butker in the short term and for years to come ... 'cause the two sides just agreed to a massive $25.6 million contract extension -- months after he came under fire for polarizing comments made during a commencement speech.

The former seventh-round pick negotiated the four-year contract himself ... making the 29-year-old the highest-paid kicker in the NFL. Butker is now tied to the organization through 2028 and will look to help the Chiefs in their quest for a Super Bowl three-peat.

The contract extension comes three months following his controversial grad speech at Benedictine College -- a Catholic school in Atchison, Kansas -- in which he shared his views on the LGBTQ community, abortion and women being homemakers

An Illinois man may be having some regrets today, after getting busted for allegedly making terroristic threats against Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce during a Morgan Wallen concert.

Aaron Brown was arrested over a social media post that went up shortly before the concert. He wrote, "Mr. [redacted] at Arrowhead with the wife. If he brings out [redacted] or [redacted] I'll take the f-in shot. F-k em!" He added, "Also, f-k you bitch!! [hand emoji with middle finger]."

It's seems pretty clear the redactions identify Mahomes and Kelce. Both were at the concert and got on stage with Morgan. Mahomes' wife, Brittany, was also at the concert.

Travis Kelce had a couple shots get away from him during his charity golf game Friday ... and, one left a woman bloodied, video obtained by TMZ shows.

The video captures the aftermath of the incident ... with eyewitnesses telling TMZ Travis launched a shot on the 16th fairway that ended up hurtling toward onlookers -- before smacking a woman in the side of the head.
