The Miami Dolphins great was shown on the ESPN broadcast in the fourth quarter of the 27-21 win over the New York Jets ... and at first glance, it looked like the stunning lady was scrambling to get out of the shot -- as if the two weren't supposed to be on national television together.

It turns out it was NOT what it looked like at all ... 'cause 51-year-old Jason and Monica Taylor, 31, have been hubby and wifey since 2020.

9:15 AM PT -- Tyreek Hill just released a video statement from his hospital bed ... thanking his fans and asking for prayers as he gets set for surgery.

"I love you guys so much," he said. "Hope to see you soon."

Tyreek Hill was rushed to the hospital on Monday night ... after he sustained a significant knee injury during the Dolphins' game against the Jets.

The gruesome scene unfolded in the third quarter of the "Monday Night Football" matchup ... after Hill caught a pass from Tua Tagovailoa.

As the receiver was being tackled out of bounds, he landed awkwardly on his leg -- and very clearly dislocated his knee in the process.

Jay Cutler is back behind bars ... TMZ Sports has learned he reported to a Tennessee jail on Monday to begin serving his DUI sentence.

Records we've obtained show the ex-NFL star was booked into Williamson County Jail at around 8 AM PT ... and the former quarterback is now expected to remain there until Friday.

Cutler, of course, was ordered to spend four days in the slammer last month ... after he pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor DUI.

The gunman who killed multiple people at the NFL's headquarters in New York earlier this summer has been diagnosed with CTE.

The New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner said in a statement on Friday that after testing Shane Tamura's brain tissue, they discovered "unambiguous diagnostic evidence" of the disease.
