Cornell University's president delivered a message to students in the wake of accusations that 7 Chi Phi frat brothers allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted a woman ... and personally addressed Jane Doe's account.

In an 8-minute video shared to the university statements' page ... Michael Kotlikoff admitted that this had been "one of the most difficult weeks in our history."

Kotlikoff added ... "What happened to Jane Doe in 2024 is deeply disturbing and will weigh heavily on our community for years to come. My heart aches when I think of what she experienced."

French Riots Teen Uses Makeshift Flamethrower To Burn Woman's Face

Riots in France have turned scarily violent as a 15-year-old boy reportedly used a makeshift flamethrower to burn a woman's face.

Check out video shot Friday at a bus stop in the French city of Marseille ... the teen, dressed all in black, confronts the woman with an aerosol can and a lighter. He then uses the lighter to unleash a stream of fire into the woman's face from the aerosol can.

The woman, who was reportedly trying to help quell the riots, staggers around confused, while patting her head to put out the flames.

A group of Las Vegas showgirls traded feathers for fists ... throwing down in a wild brawl on the Strip.

TMZ obtained a crazy video from Wednesday afternoon ... several women decked out in barely-there showgirl outfits and massive feather headdresses are right in the middle of the chaos ... swinging, shoving, and going at it as tourists look on.

And this thing gets out of control fast ... at one point, one of the showgirls charges right back into the madness and starts throwing punches ... while a shirtless man gets tangled up in the melee and people nearby scramble around the fight.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard's ex-fiancé Ken Urker was found dead inside his Louisiana home after making suicide threats after cops were warned he owned a gun ... TMZ has learned.

According to law enforcement records obtained by TMZ, deputies responded to Urker's Raceland residence Thursday evening for a welfare check after family members said he wasn’t answering his phone or showing up for work.

The caller told dispatchers Urker had threatened to commit suicide and owned a gun. The caller also told cops he was in a "dark place." Later, another caller told authorities Urker had "killed himself" and wanted to know if he was okay.

A manhunt is underway after 3 masked thieves swarmed a man exiting a pricey West Hollywood streetwear store, robbed him and shot him ... before slamming their getaway car into a Ferrari.

The shooting went down just outside the Fugazi storefront Thursday ... with cops responding to a call around 5:30 PM ... KTLA reported.

Surveillance video shows the masked trio hopping out of a nearby car, rushing toward the victim, surrounding him, and then firing on him as they fled the scene.

A customer at a Red Lobster in Georgia allegedly tried to skip out on his $63 bill by calling 911 and faking an illness ... but his plan backfired, and he wound up in jail.

Abdul Rasheed was arrested on September 24 and booked in the Douglas County jail for theft of services and unlawful conduct during a 911 call, according to authorities. He's currently being held on $3,000 bond.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... Rasheed enjoyed a nice, big $63 meal at Red Lobster in Douglas County, Georgia, on September 24 -- but when the bill came, it left a bad taste in his mouth, and he cooked up a scheme to get a free meal.

One of the 7 Cornell frat bros named as a defendant in a sexual assault lawsuit filed by a Jane Doe says he has no issue with her continuing to use the moniker as civil proceedings continue.

Scott Kretzschmar filed a letter to the judge Thursday ... stating he "does not object" to the plaintiff continuing the lawsuit as Jane Doe.

This may seem small, but it's actually quite uncommon for the defendant not to object in these situations.

Many defendants file documents asking for a judge to lift the plaintiff's anonymity.

Cornell University routinely ignored punishment guidelines for fraternities over a period of years, and it became so frustrating for the Cornell University Police Dept. (CUPD), members sounded the alarm to University officials.

Sources connected to the Cornell administration have given TMZ an email sent by one of the CUPD officers, outlining frustration over the University ignoring its own guidelines for fraternities and their members, especially when it came to underage drinking.

The email, written November 9, 2022, reads in part, "According to policy and as directed by [then] University President [Martha] Pollack, referrals alleging violations of underage consumption of alcohol and unregistered events among others will result in immediate placement on interim suspension. If the organization is found responsible, the final sanction according to policy is a three year suspension at minimum."

CBS News obtained the transcript of Jane Doe's interview with the Cornell Campus Police during its investigation in November, 2024. During the interview, she also says at some point she was "completely and totally incapacitated."

Tompkins County D.A. Matthew Van Houten says he never saw the full transcript of her 2-day interview with Campus Police ... he only saw the results of the investigation, which included a summary in which campus cops say she told them the encounter with the fraternity members was voluntary, conscious and consensual.

A Florida teen's social media stunt ended in a trip to the hospital after cops say he was struck by a pickup truck while getting a haircut in the middle of a busy roadway.

Police in Ocala say three young men -- ages 18, 19 and 20 -- planted a chair in the median of a busy road Sunday night to film a haircut stunt for social media.

That's when cops say a Chevrolet Silverado and a Lexus SUV collided nearby, sending the pickup careening into the median and slamming into the 18-year-old, who was sitting in the barber's chair.

Alleged Cornell Gang Rape Victim Told Cops She Was Raped in 2024 ... Alleged Police Transcript Reveals

7:13 AM PT The DA says he did not receive a police transcript.

The Cornell student at the center of a reopened criminal investigation told campus police, "I can say with 100% confidence I was raped" ... a detail that was not included in the district attorney's summary of the initial interview.

CBS News New York obtained a transcript of Jane Doe's November 2024 interview with Cornell University Police, conducted three weeks after the alleged assault at the Chi Phi fraternity house.

It's unclear if CBS NY obtained the full police interview transcript.

The transcript appears to conflict with Tompkins County District Attorney Matthew Van Houten's characterization of Jane's original statement. Van Houten previously said she did not allege she was drugged against her will or gang raped, describing her drug use and sexual activity as "voluntary, conscious and consensual."

The D.A. has since reopened the case after Jane filed a civil lawsuit accusing seven Chi Phi fraternity members of drugging and sexually assaulting her over several hours.

As TMZ previously reported, Van Houten said the lawsuit presents a "dramatically different" account from Jane's original statement. The D.A. plans to present the case to a grand jury.

Jane’s attorney, Thomas Giuffra, previously told TMZ the police report included allegations of sexual assault and ketamine use. He also said the report was not materially different from the allegations in the lawsuit.

The lawsuit claims one fraternity member sent a Snapchat message to a group of Chi Phi members saying there was "free p***y" upstairs, allegedly inviting others to join the sexual assault.

Attorneys for two of the accused men have denied the allegations to CBS New York. Cornell says it imposed serious disciplinary sanctions, including suspensions and expulsions.

No criminal charges have been filed.

The former Cornell student who says she was drugged and gang-raped by a slew of fraternity brothers made more than 20 handwritten corrections to her initial police statement and the district attorney says there were "no gaps" in her account.

Tompkins County D.A. Matthew Van Houten told PEOPLE ... the woman "made 20-plus handwritten corrections to it, indicating that she was reading it carefully and that it was thorough."

The D.A. adds ... she told police what happened in "very specific detail and very comprehensive detail."

A 6-month-old baby girl was found dead in a dumpster in South Los Angeles ... and her mother is in custody as police investigate the infant's death as a homicide.

The baby was discovered in the trash receptacle late Monday night in South L.A. ... though LAPD says the child had been left there sometime in the previous 24 hours.

Cops say firefighters responded to the scene and took the baby to a nearby hospital ... where she was pronounced dead.
