LeBron James dribbled around a question about President Trump ripping him after he was seen practicing his shot during the National Anthem ... basically laughing off the whole controversy.

The NBA star was asked about POTUS' blistering Truth Social post after his Philadelphia 76ers beat the Cleveland Cavaliers, 114-106, Thursday night ... and he smirked when he heard the question.

King James then replied, "Slow news day at the office, you know" ... and left it at that.

Donald Trump is backing Vivek Ramaswamy amid his controversial campaign ad attacking his political opponent, Amy Acton.

Trump claims the ad -- which shows Amy's estranged mother calling her a liar for accusing her of abuse -- is being targeted by the press in a "concerted and well-coordinated attack."

Here's the thing ... there's been bipartisan backlash over the ad, because Amy's stepfather was charged with raping her when he was married to her mother when Amy was a child.

Donald Trump is calling a technical foul on LeBron James ... ripping the NBA superstar as a "total disgrace" for practicing his golf swing during the National Anthem.

Trump went off on the athlete in a Truth Social post Thursday, writing ... "While listening to our National Anthem, LeBron James disrespects our Country! I said right from the beginning that he's no good, a TOTAL DISGRACE."

POTUS is responding to a clip from Tuesday night's NBA opener between LeBron's Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks ... the Sixers are lined up for the anthem, but LBJ is hardly standing still or bowing his head.

11:30am PT -- A spokesperson for Omar tells TMZ ... "Rep. Omar has repeatedly and unequivocally denied this baseless, disgusting conspiracy theory. She denied it again on MS NOW—and when pressed yet again, responded sarcastically. This is a desperate political smear designed to distract from Trump’s failed presidency and two years of Republican failure in Congress."

Ilhan Omar is addressing the longstanding allegation she married her brother to commit immigration fraud.

During an interview with MS NOW's Chris Hayes, the Minnesota congresswoman was asked whether her former husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, is actually her brother, responding, "Not to my knowledge."

Omar also called the allegations "insane," pushing back against claims surrounding her 2009 marriage to Elmi. The allegations have circulated for years, though no evidence has publicly established that Elmi is her brother.

Donald Trump's personal attorney, Alina Habba, is denying a report she had a role in securing a pardon for Venezuelan billionaire Julio Herrera Velutini.

Alina fired back on X, writing, "If the New York Times simply went back and looked at their own reporting, they have already credited another capable attorney for what he successfully did without me and took credit for."

She added, "Any insinuation that my employment -- all of which has been vetted and disclosed to the D.O.J. -- had anything to do with securing a pardon is false and defamatory."

The New York Times reported Alina began working for a company set up by Velutini's daughter as part of a multimillion-dollar contract.

Velutini -- who had been facing felony bribery charges before pleading down to a misdemeanor campaign finance violation -- had his legal team seek a pardon.

Then his family reportedly offered Alina -- who was advising for the Department of Justice at the time -- a $50 million deal over 4 years to be general counsel at Concord Partners, a newly formed entity set up by Velutini's daughter, Isabela Herrera.

A retired Michigan teacher who was locked up by Russia after being sentenced for fighting as a mercenary in Ukraine -- allegations he denied -- has just been released.

The announcement that Stephen Hubbard, 74, was set free by Russia was made during a meeting between U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff and Russian President Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg ... CNN reported.

The release of Hubbard -- who had been sentenced to nearly 7 years in prison in 2024 -- came after President Donald Trump said he made overtures to Putin on Hubbard's behalf.

Boosie Badazz says there's a silver lining to his $600K pardon broker snafu ... he says he's glad he was able to keep other people from allegedly getting scammed.

Katie Zacharia's exit from her short-lived White House Press Secretary gig may have been a hit job orchestrated by none other than President Trump's tough-as-nails Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, according to Politico.

Citing two anonymous sources, Politico reports that Katie's Thursday interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News was all set up by Wiles as a "sanctioned hit."

As you know ... the following day, Katie was given the ax by Trump after merely five days as press secretary. Moments before her termination, Trump said he told her she should reconsider taking the job.

Katie Zacharia got the ax while being interviewed about her new role as White House Press Secretary ... and she just walked away without ever returning to her job or the sit-down with the reporter, according to the Wall Street Journal.  

The WSJ gave a shocking blow-by-blow account of Katie's last moments in the role -- one she held for a mere 5 days -- on Friday afternoon.

According to the publication ... Katie was seated behind her desk in a small office scattered with only a few personal items, namely a curling iron, a pair of heels and a cosmetic bag, as well as a white orchid.

Katie Zacharia's White House career is apparently over before it even got started ... with President Trump's newest press secretary reportedly getting the boot after a week on the job.

According to The New York Times, Zacharia has been fired after 5 days on the job ... making her stint even shorter than Anthony Scaramucci's infamous 11-day run as White House communications director in 2017 ... even the Mooch lasted longer.

The reported firing comes just minutes after Trump suggested Zacharia might be better off without the job ... telling reporters she'd been treated "very, very badly" by the media and didn't need the headache.

Trump says his newest spokesperson has been treated "very, very badly" by the media ... revealing he personally told her she doesn't have to put up with the abuse.

Katie Zacharia says she doesn't know when the next White House press briefing will be ... but she hopes she can inspire more confidence in those around her before it goes down.

The new White House Press Secretary appeared on "Fox & Friends" Friday morning to discuss her first week ... which many feel went about as bad as it could go.

Katie was asked when she'll next address the media ... and she said she doesn't know -- but she promised to work closely with President Donald Trump and the White House communications team to figure it out.

Sean Hannity grilled Katie Zacharia over her bar exam controversy on his show Thursday night ... and the experience didn't go so well for the newly minted White House press secretary.

The longtime Fox News host interviewed Zacharia on "Hannity" about her first week as President Trump's press secretary and, at one point, Hannity brought up that Zacharia called it a "conspiracy theory as it relates to the issue of being a lawyer."

Zacharia flashed an uncomfortable smile as Hannity pointed out that she attended Pepperdine University and failed her first attempt at passing the bar exam to become an attorney.
