NeNe Leakes is telling 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' superfan Cynthia Erivo not to despair ... 'cause she could make a return to the show -- if the offer was right.

We caught up with the 'RHOA' alum in New York City earlier this week ... and, we had to ask her about the "Wicked" star revealing she's a huge fan of NeNe -- and, asking Bravo to bring her back to the show.

NeNe says she loves Cynthia and thanks her for her praise ... before adding she totally agrees -- so, sounds like Leakes thinks 'Atlanta' needs a dose of herself baked back in the show.

8:46 AM PT -- Chase's attorneys -- Drew Findling, Marissa Goldberg, and Zack Findling, of the Findling Law Firm -- tell TMZ ... "This incident has been entirely blown out of proportion. Chase Chrisley had done the right thing that evening by calling a driver to take him home. He did not assault anyone. Chase was trying to close out his tab and leave. We will be independently investigating the situation."

"Growing Up Chrisley" star Chase Chrisley got a dose of reality Thursday ... he was thrown in the slammer for allegedly slapping a bar manager in Georgia earlier this week.

Chase, the son of TV stars turned convicted criminals Todd and Julie Chrisley, was booked Thursday into the Fulton County Jail for simple battery, according to official records. He posed for a mug shot and was released on $10,000 bond.
