Andy Reid publicly addressed the shooting of offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy’s wife ... and the Kansas City Chiefs head coach provided an encouraging update on Mia's condition.

Big Red made the comments while speaking to reporters after practice at training camp in Missouri on Monday, opening up with a statement expressing support for his longtime assistant.

“Our hearts go out to Eric Bieniemy and his family,” Reid said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with them. I can't get into details on it, but things happen sometimes, and Eric will work through it. He's got a great support group here, as does his family."

8:00 AM PT -- Officials say Eric Bieniemy and Mia Bieniemy's son, Elijah, was arrested and charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and discharge of a firearm inside of a dwelling as a result of the shooting.

Mia sustained multiple gunshot wounds, according to the release.

The wife of Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy was shot at their home in Virginia ... and is currently being treated for "serious injuries."

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said officers arrived at the Bieniemy residence in Ashburn, Virginia, around 7:30 PM. Sources told ESPN 57-year-old Mia Bieniemy was hospitalized as a result of the shooting.

Officials confirmed a person was receiving medical care ... but did not reveal the individual's identity.

A food vendor was captured on video running to safety after shots rang out at a Seattle food festival, claiming the lives of three people and leaving four others injured, including a 2-year-old child, according to police.

Cops say the bullets started flying Sunday night at the Bite of Seattle, a 3-day annual food festival held at the Seattle Center just a block away from the famous Space Needle.

Police officers in Madison, Wisconsin, sparked controversy Wednesday ... after they shot and killed a man who was being detained in the middle of the street, and the moment was captured by a bystander on video.

The shocking clip shows four officers wrestling with a man in the street, attempting to pin his arm back and subdue him.

In an attempt to subdue the man, it appears one officer pulled out a taser ... informing her fellow officers by yelling out "Taser! Taser! Taser!" so as not to hit her comrades with an electric shock.

A man was shot and killed steps from the famous Santa Monica Pier overnight ... and the gunman is still at large.

Santa Monica police say the deadly shooting happened around 12:30 AM Monday in a parking lot right next to the popular landmark.

Tragedy in Southern California ... police say a 2-year-old boy fatally shot himself after finding a gun hidden between two couch cushions ... and now his mother is under arrest.

The San Bernardino Sheriff's Department says the shooting happened Thursday at a residence in Highland ... deputies arrived at the location and began life-saving efforts, but the child was pronounced dead after being rushed to a hospital.

A four-year-old boy in Florida shot and killed his two-year-old cousin with a handgun cops say wasn't properly secured.

According to reports ... officers were called to a home in Kissimmee, Florida on Sunday where they found the two-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound.

The boy -- Brayden Tennyson -- was taken to the hospital ... where he was pronounced dead ... just days before what would have been his third birthday.

4:09 PM PT -- According to Senator Angus King's office, DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin later clarified the man was not the subject of the warrant. King's office said Mullin had first indicated the man was the intended target before revising that account.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents fatally shot a person in Biddeford, Maine on Monday morning ... marking the second deadly shooting involving ICE agents in less than one week.

Maine House Speaker Ryan Fecteau said in a statement on Facebook ... "A person was killed. ICE was involved. State Police and the Department of Public Safety are now on scene to gather details and would expect the FBI to investigate as well. These are the details that I have at this time. I will provide further updates, as they are relayed to me."

Purported video from the scene shows the aftermath of the shooting ... and agents appeared to be rendering first aid to the person, who was laid out on the street.

The Miramar Police Department tells TMZ ... Brianna's cousin, Arthur "A.J." Lee Johnson III, died in the hospital after suffering critical injuries in Sunday morning's ambush.

As TMZ first reported, Brianna was fatally shot early Sunday morning after leaving a party in Miramar. She had two passengers in her car, who were both rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

The drive-by shooting that killed influencer DreamDoll Brii was caught on video ... and it's tough to watch.

Surveillance footage shows DreamDoll's Lamborghini Urus driving down a residential street when a sedan comes speeding into frame, passing her car on the driver's side before flying around the corner.

DreamDoll's car rolls through a stop sign and drifts into someone's property. Folks who live on the block say they heard gunshots -- it's hard to tell from the video when the shots were fired -- and police are looking for the white sedan from this video.

Dreamdoll Brii -- real name Brianna Johnson -- posted just hours before her death on Monday after being shot while leaving a party in Florida.

Check out the video ... it looks like the 21-year-old influencer was at a get-together in a parking lot, with a bunch of people who look about her same age. A bunch of cars were gathered at the spot ... one of them bouncing with someone throwing money out the window.

There's a second panel to Brianna's final Instagram story post ... with her sitting inside a white car with a lavish interior, and a caption that reads "I been had her, check my Myspace back then, I been turnt up."

An innocent family's quick stop for McDonald's turned into every parent's worst nightmare ... and now an 11-year-old girl will have to live with a bullet lodged in her head.

The young girl remains hospitalized after she was struck during a shooting in a McDonald's parking lot in Hallandale Beach, Florida on June 27. According to a GoFundMe organized by her father's coworkers ... doctors determined removing the bullet right now would be too dangerous because it could cause even more damage.

Her father, Oscar, was also wounded after gunfire broke out between other people in the parking lot. The fundraiser says he and his family had absolutely nothing to do with the confrontation ... they had just arrived for lunch, with Oscar waiting in the car alongside his three children while his wife went inside to pick up their food.

The family of the doodle Jameson, who was shot to death by an LAPD officer last month during the NBA Finals ... has slapped the city with a lawsuit.

According to legal docs obtained by TMZ ... Jameson's owners, Marie Marseille and  Jeremiah Garcia, claim the officer who fatally shot the dog used "excessive and unreasonable" force, which they say amounts to "unlawful seizure." They are also suing for negligence.

We've been following the heartbreaking case -- Marie's neighbor called the cops for a welfare check after she was heard screaming from her apartment, and it was later discovered she was celebrating the Knicks' NBA Championship victory. During Marie's encounter with police, Jameson was shot to death ... with the LAPD claiming Jameson charged at them after Marie was ordered to keep him under control.

4:05 PM PT -- Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ there have been no plea bargain negotiations between prosecutors and the defense team.

Luigi Mangione may be mulling over a guilty plea, because a new report states his lawyers have discussed a deal with prosecutors ... but Luigi's team calls the report an intentional attempt to prejudice their client.

According to ABC News ... the alleged murderer's legal team and federal prosecutors have discussed a possible plea ahead of a court hearing scheduled for Monday.

Sources told the outlet it's unclear how close the two sides got to getting a deal done, but they discussed it.
