Jon Cryer's relationship with Charlie Sheen hasn't always been smooth ... but, if he had to choose him or President Donald Trump to have their finger on the nuclear button, he says he's taking President Sheen every time.

The veteran actor stopped by the "The MeidasTouch Podcast," and he was asked about a comment he made years ago ... comparing then-candidate Trump to Charlie in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election.

Cryer said, "I have been pointing out, and I have been screaming to the rooftops, that Donald Trump is the Charlie Sheen of politics … I have to tell you, I love Charlie Sheen, I loved working with him when he was sober, but he was, he's full of s***. He has been full of s***, he has serious addiction. His addiction is obviously serious, drugs, but Trump is just addicted to feeling important."

The ad is funded by a Democratic Super PAC called the Progress Action Fund that's clearly no friend to MAGA. As one of the group's founders put it, "MAGA is going to HATE this ad. NASTY but accurate."

Marjorie Taylor Greene's town hall quickly went off the rails ... with multiple protesters arrested by cops, and some were even hit with tasers.

The chaotic event went down Tuesday evening just outside Atlanta, where Rep. Greene was continually interrupted by several protesters while speaking at the podium.

One jarring video shows cops escorting a protester out of the event, and when he tells them to get their hands off him, he's immediately taken to the ground with tasers.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro may have saved the lives of himself and his family after a suspected arsonist set fire to his residence early Sunday morning.

Harrisburg Fire Chief Brian Enterline said Monday that Shapiro had inadvertently closed a door in a stairwell that prevented the flames from quickly spreading to the bedrooms where he and his family were sleeping.

Enterline said if the door had been left ajar, the blaze would have "put the governor at greater risk." But because the door was shut, Enterline said, the rapid movement of the flames was stymied, offering Shapiro, his wife and four children a chance to escape without injury.
