Olympic legend Ryan Lochte is diving headfirst into a new chapter ... because he's engaged to Molly Gillihan!

TMZ has learned Ryan popped the question last week at a restaurant called Prime and Pearl in Gainesville, FL -- where the two had their first date -- while celebrating their move to Missouri.

Ryan and Molly walked a path of red rose petals and sat in the same booth they did on their first date. A card was waiting, which asked the Molly the all-important question ... she turned, saw Ryan down on one knee, and gave an overjoyed "yes!"

There's a BIG wedding scheduled Saturday a block from Taylor Swift's Rhode Island mansion ... the question, is it for Taylor's big day?

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... a wedding will go down at Ocean House -- a ritzy hotel just a stone's throw from Taylor's digs.

The set of an Amazon MGM flick with some major star power was evacuated ... after a shooting in Los Angeles during a watch party for a World Cup game ... TMZ has learned.

Here's the deal ... one person was shot, and a suspect was arrested at a large watch party for the game between Mexico and South Korea. The party was in Koreatown near the "Tyrant" set, a thriller starring Charlize Theron, Julia Garner, Demi Moore, and Hudson Williams.

A source close to production tells TMZ ... the set was not evacuated by LAPD ... but crew and cast -- which included some of those big stars -- were sent home by production as a precautionary measure.

Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos hopped on a private jet heading to Florida on Friday ... with all signs pointing to the former engaged couple spending Father's Day weekend together.

TMZ Sports obtained pics of the two boarding the plane with their daughters and nanny at McKinney National Airport around 11:45 AM ... with Miami being the final destination.

Worth noting, Ramos is from the Sunshine State, so perhaps a bigger family gathering is part of the itinerary.

Morocco captain and Paris Saint-Germain star Achraf Hakimi will stand trial in a rape case ... but he insists the matter is only moving forward because he's a celebrity.

The 27-year-old defender -- who is currently playing in the World Cup -- will have a future date in court after a woman accused him of raping her at his home near Paris in March 2023, when she was 24 years old.

Hakimi fought a February decision over the allegations ... but the Versailles appeals court ordered him to be formally charged, citing sufficient evidence against him to stand trial.

Gene Bess, legendary junior college basketball coach with the most wins in college hoops history, has died at 91.

Bess' son Brian broke the sad news on Friday, writing, "This morning at 4:00am my dad went to be with Jesus. We are making arrangements and will let you know when we will celebrate."

Coach spent a staggering 50 seasons as head coach of Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, racking up an insane 1,300-416 record over his 5 decades on the bench, making his the most winning coach across all college basketball, topping men's and women's D1 legends like Mike Krzyzewski and Geno Auriemma.

Bess' squads made the NJCAA national tourney 17 times, reaching the Final Four 8 times, and winning the whole thing twice, in 1979 and 1992.

He was also a runner-up on two occasions.

Bess, twice named National Coach of the Year, put down his clipboard and walked away from the bench in 2020.

In 2023, Gene received the ultimate honor ... he was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. He's also a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association Hall.

Among the thousands of players he coached was retired NBA star Latrell Sprewell, who spent two seasons with Bess at Three Rivers, and had a deep respect for his coach.

Taylor Swift's neighborhood is buzzing with activity this weekend ... with an event space fit for a wedding popping up a stone's throw from her home -- while a ton of her pals are in town for what seems like a wedding-related event.

We've obtained video of a massive white tent set up on the side of the Ocean House ... the fancy hotel and spa about a quarter-mile from Taylor's Rhode Island home where she and Travis Kelce were expected to host a wedding shindig last week.

Our sources say the tent wasn't there yesterday, so it seems the event's likely taking place at some point this weekend. Workers are setting up a wooden floor beneath the tent.

The neighbor who dialed 911 before LAPD shot and killed a family's dog is speaking out ... apologizing profusely for ever getting cops involved.

ABC7 -- a local affiliate out in Los Angeles -- spoke to the neighbor, who is remaining anonymous amid alleged ongoing threats they have received ... and they say they only called police because they couldn't get in contact with a screaming woman inside a residence.
