Lil Wayne to Birdman

I'm Willing to Stay

If the Price is Right

1/29/2015 12:40 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0128-lil-wayne-birdman-02
Lil Wayne
will stay with Cash Money and Birdman IF they ante up the money he's owed ... in fact, we're told if Cash Money antes up, Wayne has no choice but to stay.

Sources involved in the case tell TMZ ... Wayne feels Birdman's decision to avoid paying him is nothing more than a power play. TMZ broke the story that Wayne is suing, and a central claim is that Birdman has consistently stiffed him over the last year.

There are 2 payments that have irked Wayne -- he says he was owed $8 million when he went into the studio to record "Tha Carter V" in December 2013, and another $2 mil when he completed the album last month.

We're told the hope is that Universal -- which distributes Cash Money records -- will step in and earmark the $10 mil for Wayne. And we're told Universal is already putting pressure on Cash Money to settle.

If Cash Money pays Wayne the $10 mil, it would essentially eliminate any breach of contract. That means Wayne would have no legal basis to ask out of the contract. Even though Wayne's suing for $51 million, most of that is predicated on future lost profits which would not be an issue if they settle.

As for the release of "Tha Carter V" ... even if the case settles the power would be in Birdman's claws.

Dr. Dre

Flies the Coop ...

Straight Outta Famous Bird 'Hood

1/29/2015 12:20 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

Dr Dre HomeDr. Dre is determined to ball like a billionaire, and he moved close to that goal ... by dropping his fancy Hollywood Hills crib for big money.

Dre just scored $32.5 million for his posh pad in the exclusive bird streets hood ... which is home to Leo DiCaprio, Keanu Reeves, and a ton of other celebs.

Dre's walking away with more than twice what he paid for it in 2011. Not bad, considering he didn't live there full time. It's not like he had to ... the Doc splurged on Tom Brady and Gisele's massive Brentwood estate for $40M last spring.

The new owners will have plenty of space for their homies to get gangsta ... the 6-bed, 9-bath joint is tucked away on a cul-de-sac with an amazing infinity pool.

We reached out to Dre's uber real estate broker Kurt Rappaport ... but never heard back. The home sale helps Dre creep toward billionaire status. Several estimates already have him over $650 million.

Black Sabbath

Geezer Butler Arrested for Bar Brawl

1/28/2015 6:00 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0128-geezer-butler-mug-shot-01
Ozzy Osbourne's right hand man in Black Sabbath -- bassist Geezer Butler -- got busted for a bar fight, and spent a night in jail.

Sources tell us Butler was in a bar at the Furnace Creek Ranch in Death Valley Tuesday ... when the brawl broke out -- and apparently the ol' Geezer's still got some fight left in him.

Inyo County Sheriff's deputies, clearly believing the Butler did it ... arrested the 65-year-old for battery, vandalism, and disorderly conduct.

Butler famously wrote most of Sabbath's lyrics ... while Ozzy got all the glory as the band's frontman.

Has he lost his mind? Can he see or is he blind?

Who knows? But cops tell us Butler was released from jail Wednesday morning after drying out.

Lil Wayne

Sues Birdman's Cash Money ...

I Want Out!

1/28/2015 1:55 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0128-lil-wayne-birdman-tmz-01
Lil Wayne
has made good on his promise to go after Cash Money ... because he's filed a lawsuit asking a judge to end his contract with Birdman's label.

According to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Wayne says Birdman and company violated the deal by withholding tens of millions of dollars Cash Money owes him for his long-delayed album, "Tha Carter V."

Wayne claims because Cash Money is refusing to pay, he's entitled to walk.

But Lil Wayne wants more than just a declaration of freedom. He's suing for $51 MILLION.

And Wayne wants the judge to declare he's the joint copyright owner of all Young Money recordings ... which includes Drake, Nicki Minaj and several others.

Sources connected to Wayne tell TMZ ... if Birdman antes up then he can release "Tha Carter V," but only if Wayne gets paid. Wayne says he was supposed to get an $8 million advance when he began recording in December, 2013 and another 2M when he completed the album a year later, but so far he's gotten nothing.

Kevin says he's considering investing in her music catalog, but you have to see what really shocked him about Courtney.

Katy Perry's Boobs

Now Super Bowl Prop Bet

Cleavage or No Cleavage!?

1/28/2015 11:30 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0128-katy-perry-super-bowl-tmz-01Katy Perry's boobs could make you A LOT of money -- because they've just become the focal points of a new Super Bowl prop bet ... TMZ Sports has learned.

The cyber-gambling site BetOnline.ag is offering up a bet -- where you can place money on whether you think Katy will show cleavage or no cleavage during her Super Bowl halftime show.

Right now ... the odds are STRONGLY for boobage:

"Yes" is -500
"No" is +350

Translation -- if you bet "no," $100 gets you $350. If you bet "yes," you need to wager $500 to earn a measly $100.

Some other prop bets?

-- The coin toss
-- Color of the Gatorade thrown on the winning coach
-- Hoodie type worn by Bill Belichick (sleeves vs. no sleeves)
-- Katy Perry's wardrobe at the beginning of Halftime (pants vs. shorts  vs. dress or skirt)
-- Length of the National Anthem

... and get this -- you can bet on who Barack Obama will pick to win the Super Bowl.

Good luck.

Ludacris' Baby Mama

He Made Me Play

Let's Make an Pregnancy Deal

1/28/2015 6:43 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

012715_tamika_fuller_launch_v4
Ludacris' baby mama testified in court that it's ridiculously ludicrous he's fighting for full custody of their daughter, because he desperately wanted her to have an abortion to the point he even bribed her.

Tamika Fuller said when Luda found out she was pregnant he cried, but they weren't tears of joy. He said it would ruin his life and he then urged her to terminate the pregnancy.

According to Tamika, Luda initially offered her $10K and a house if she lost the baby.

As TMZ first reported, Fuller believes Luda's quicky marriage to Eudoxie was just a transparent ploy to show the  judge he has a more stable home than her.

Jimmy Fallon

Had Him a Blast With ...

Drunken 'Grease' Sing-Along

1/28/2015 12:50 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

012715_jimmy_fallon_launchJimmy Fallon relived his famous send-off from "SNL" -- singing a "Grease" classic -- but this time he had a barroom full of hammered backup singers ... which just made it more awesome.

Fallon was at NYC's Marie's Crisis Cafe last weekend when most of the bar started singing "Summer Nights" ... with Jimmy leading the chorus. But check out the video -- it wasn't easy keeping the buzzed crowd on the beat ... or the right verse.

Jimmy still managed to bring down the house, just like in his final "SNL" in 2004 -- where we're guessing there was slightly less drinking than in the bar.

JaMarcus Russell

Poppin Bottles With Rick Ross

1/28/2015 12:45 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF
Exclusive Details

0127-julia-beverly-jamarcus-russell-instagram-01JaMarcus Russell might've finally given up on his NFL dreams, but his dreams of living like a boss look very alive 'cause TMZ Sports has a pic of the former #1 overall pick hanging with one of the biggest stars in rap ... Rick Ross.

The two hung out on January 16th after Ross performed the same day at the Nightown nightclub in Destin, Florida. We're told Russell -- a HUGE fan -- heard about the show and drove all the way in to chop it up with Rozay.

Judging from the pic, the two seemed to hit it off -- and had a great time while partying with several bottles of Ross' Luc Belaire Rare Rose.

Here's the thing ... Russell has struggled with substance abuse in the past (sizzurp) ... and also had a close call with foreclosure -- so it's interesting to see him balling out with booze and a fancy piece of jewelry on his wrist.

On a more hilarious note -- the reason why Russell is partly cropped out of the picture is because the woman who took the photo is Julia Beverly -- the founder of Ozone Magazine and Pimp C's biographer -- and she didn't know who he was.

Sly Stone

Wins Millions

In Family Stone Royalties

1/27/2015 4:58 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0127_Sly-stone-TMZ
Sly Stone
just scored $5 million thanks to a L.A. jury, which ruled the psychedelic funk singer was done wrong by a former manager who pilfered his fortune.

When Sly was on the skids, his former manager allegedly convinced him to sign over all his royalties to a company the manager picked ... for tax reasons. Sly says the manager assured him he'd be protected.

But Sly says the manager fleeced him, and apparently the jury agreed. The company that got the royalties must pay the frontman of Sly & the Family Stone $2.5 MIL. The manager, Jerry Goldstein, must ante up $2.45 MIL. And the lawyer who worked with Goldstein has to kick in 50K.

Sly has been destitute with severe drug problems ... living in his van.

Enrique Iglesias

Sued for Robo de Musica

Over 'Bailando'

1/27/2015 3:05 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0127-enrique-iglesias-tmz-02
Enrique Iglesias
is getting credit and A LOT of money for his smash hit, "Bailando," but according to 2 songwriters he stole it right out from under them.

Cristian Escuti and German Schulz claim they cut a track called "Quiero Bailar Contigo" back in 2009. They say they sent it to a Sony exec in 2012 but never heard back.

Fast forward to 2014, when Enrique released "Bailando," which the songwriters say is a direct rip-off of their tune. They say Sony had partial ownership in the song and they believe there was a musical conspiracy to jack their song.

The 2 songwriters say the chorus line, melody, lyrics and rhythm were lifted from their song.

What's especially galling to them ... "Bailando" became Enrique's biggest song off his latest album, "Sex and Love" and has been viewed 686 MILLION times on YouTube.

Here's a clip of Enrique's song. We asked Schulz and Escuti's attorney for their song, but he says his clients won't let him send it to us.

Grammy's Sue

You Can't Sell Our Tickets to Joe Blow!

1/27/2015 1:38 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0127_grammy_awards
The only riff raff the Grammy's want at its ceremony a week from Sunday is the singer, and maybe not even him ... and that's the basis of a new lawsuit.

The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences claims VIP Concierge has somehow gotten hold of some of the tickets and is hawking them online.

The Academy claims in the lawsuit -- obtained by TMZ -- the tickets are not transferable and anyone who buys them will be unceremoniously thrown out of Staples Center.

But it doesn't end there. According to the lawsuit, VIP Concierge has been advertising the tickets with a pic of the Gramophone logo and the phrase, "Music's Biggest Night."

The website doesn't say how much a ticket will set you back ... that's all backroom stuff.

The Academy is asking a judge for an order declaring VIP legally out of bounds, and they want some cash for their troubles.
