Justin Bieber

Checks in with Probation Officer

After Painting the Town

10/13/2015 4:08 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

1013-justin-bieber-probation-meeting-TMZ-01Justin Bieber showed up at the Santa Monica Courthouse Tuesday afternoon for a meeting with his probation officer and all signs are good.

Our sources say the P.O. gave Justin good marks for his progress. He's required to perform 5 days of community labor for the egging case. Justin posted videos of himself painting a wall at the Youth Gang Intervention Center to satisfy a portion of the community labor.

Listen closely to the video ... it sounds like a recording of a Justin song is playing in the background. It's not an old song, so it looks like Justin may be previewing 2 cuts from his new album while serving out his probation. He's also playing Jay Z's "Hard Knock Life."

Flavor Flav

Avoids Slammer For Speeding To Mom's Funeral

breaking news

1013-mug-shot-flava-flav-2-1Flavor Flav won't have to do time for racing to his mother's funeral.

We broke the story ... Flav was pulled over in New York back in January 2014 doing 79 in a 55 mph zone. When cops pulled him over they discovered his license had been suspended 16 different times, so he was booked for aggravated driving without a license.

Flav got a discount on Tuesday ... he pled guilty to just one count of driving without a license, and the judge sentenced him to time served. He also has to pay a fine around $3,600.

In other words ... Flav fought the power and kinda won.

No Way I'm Voting for Hillary ...

Chicks Are Too Emotional

update_graphic_red_bar9:40 AM PT -- T.I. is already issuing a mea culpa. He says, "My comments about women running for president were unequivocally insensitive and wrong.  I sincerely apologize to everyone I offended."update_grey_gray_bar Hillary Clinton can't be leader of the free world because she's just too female ... this according to T.I., anyway.

T.I. told DJ Whoo Kid there's no way he'd be casting a ballot for Hillary or any woman. His rationale ... "I just know that women make rash decisions, emotionally ... they make very permanent, cemented decisions."

T.I. claimed he wasn't trying to be sexist, and added he thinks women can handle every OTHER political office, but president is too much (It starts around 13:25 in the clip).

The rapper -- who can't vote because he's got a felony on his record -- said the world just isn't ready to have a woman with her finger on the nukes.

Apparently T.I. hasn't heard of Angela Merkel, Margaret Thatcher, Indira Gandhi, or Golda Meir.

Donald Trump

I'm Not Gonna Use 'Dream On'

Even Though I Can

10/13/2015 8:29 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

1013-trump-tyler-tmz-02Donald Trump says he has every right to use Steven Tyler's anthem, "Dream On," but he'll shelve the song because that's what Steven wants and the Aerosmith singer is a big, big fan.

Trump tells TMZ, he's read the cease and desist letter from Tyler's lawyer, threatening a lawsuit if the leader of the Republican pack dares to walk into a crowd again with "Dream On" blaring in the background.

Trump says he bought the right to use the song in public assemblies, along with many other tunes. But since Tyler has been such a good friend and supporter over the years, Trump says he'll move on instead of dream on.

We're told Tyler's gripe is not with Trump ... he just doesn't want his music politicized.

As for what Trump now plans to use as his anthem, he says there are 10-15 songs he rotates, but he favors "We're Not Gonna Take it" by Twisted Sister because he says it connects with the audience. It doesn't hurt that Dee Snider is a 'Celebrity Apprentice' alum who loves The Donald.

BTW ... Trump's still ahead in virtually every poll, and the margin is growing.

Justin Bieber

Banned for Pushing Jesus in Middle East

10/13/2015 1:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

1009-justin-bieber-new-album-purpose-ISNTAGRAM-01Topless Justin Bieber and symbols of Jesus Christ -- two things that just won't fly in the Middle East, where Justin's new album has been rejected for being too provocative.

Sources close to the situation tell TMZ ... Bieber's "Purpose" album is getting the bum's rush in several Middle Eastern countries, as well as Indonesia -- predominantly Muslim regions. We're told the issue is twofold: Justin being shirtless, and the cross tattoo on his chest.

We're told team Bieber is scrambling right now to come up with an alternate cover for those countries -- 'cause let's face it, the bottom line is pushing the music and making money.

Still unclear at this point what imagery will be on the redesigned cover.

The Rolling Stones

We Might Be In Our 70s ...

But We Still Party Like We're 21

10/12/2015 1:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0925_rolling_stones_compositeThe Rolling Stones are not only legends on the stage, they go super hard offstage too ... and we've got the rider that proves it.

The Stones recently wrapped up another world tour and one thing they insist on at each stop ... the hotel bar doesn't close. In fact, their hotel rider insists that wherever the band stays, illegal or not -- the place better figure out a way to keep the booze flowing.

Some other kick ass requests ...

-Blacked out windows (so they can party as long as they want)

-Extra butlers, for HUGE room service requests

-After hours dry cleaning, for when things get messy

It's no surprise, Keith and the boys love their cigarettes -- and they demand each hotel room supply plenty. Their brand of choice? Marlboro Reds and Marlboro Lights.

However, there's one thing on the rider that ages the rockers -- they need written out instructions on how to use ALL the electronics in each room.

Oh, to be young old and awesome again ...

Mariah Carey

Performs in China

Forever Egg Foo Young

10/12/2015 12:50 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

1009-mariah-carey-macau-studio-city-hotel-china-GETTY-01Mariah Carey will most certainly get the best room in the joint when she performs at the grand opening of the newest casino in Macau ... because her billionaire boyfriend owns it.

Studio City -- that's the name -- promises to be Asia's answer to Vegas. We're told Mariah's getting a check in the high 6 digits for the one-off gig, set for Oct. 27th.

BF James Packer is an investor, but the booking is not rank nepotism. The owners are banking on Mariah being enough of a draw to bring Chinese bigwigs to the casino's tables.

Times have been tough in Macau because of the free falling Chinese economy.

We're told Packer's got other celebs filling the front row, including pals Brett Ratner, Martin Scorsese, Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Added bonus: Studio City one ups Sin City with a high tech Ferris wheel built into the casino's hotel.

Donald Trump

Pal Steven Tyler Threatens Lawsuit

... Over 'Dream On'

10/11/2015 9:39 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Exclusive Details

1011-donald-trump-steven-tyler-TMZ-01One of Donald Trump's celebrity pals is pissed at him, legally speaking, anyway -- Steven Tyler is threatening to sue Trump if he keeps using Aerosmith's song "Dream On" during campaign rallies.

According to Tyler's angry cease and desist letter ... this is actually the 2nd time Trump has been warned about using Aerosmith's classic ballad. Tyler's attorneys say they sent an initial letter back in August, but noticed Trump has pressed on using the song.

Most recently, Trump's campaign played "Dream On" during a stop in Georgia on Saturday. Tyler says the repeated use of the song insinuates the Aerosmith frontman endorses Trump for president. He's giving Trump 24 hours to drop the song from his playlist ... or present some evidence he has license to use it.

Tyler's defense of his song seems like it's purely a business move -- since he's been tight with Trump. Tyler and Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer attended the Republican debate in Cleveland as Trump's guests, Donald has been to their concerts, and Tyler is a registered Republican.

Tyler's attorney Dina LaPolt confirms it's not about politics. She tells TMZ, Tyler's "position has always been consistent regarding copyright and intellectual property. Simply, one must get permission from the music creators. Steven wrote 100% of 'Dream On,' and this is about the un-authorized use of his property."

If it's just about capitalism ... you'd think Trump would understand Tyler's stance.

Scarface was a man of multiple distinctions this weekend ... he received a career achievement award and a shiny pair of handcuffs, both within minutes of each other.

The rapper was at the BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta Friday night, having just accepted the "I Am Hip-Hop Icon" award, when cops descended on him, placing him under arrest.

Turns out there's an outstanding warrant against Scarface for unpaid child support.  He was taken to Fulton County Jail.  He was still there as of Sunday AM, according to the jail.

Kanye West

I Want to be the Last 'American Idol'

10/11/2015 6:54 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

1011-kanye-american-idol-INSTAGRAM-01Kanye West was so pumped and confident after performing for Prez Obama, he mustered up the courage to audition to become the very last American Idol.

Yeezy must have figured since he was in SFO anyway, why not go down the road where JLo, Harry Connick, Jr. and Keith Urban, who were holding auditions for their show.

Kanye performed as Kim Kardashian memorialized it all on camera.

The judges made it look like it was all one big surprise, and it might have been ... but then again, it wouldn't hurt ratings to watch Kim's hubby on "A.I."

Goin' out with a bang.

Wiz Khalifa

Busted with Pants Down ...

Taking a Public Whizz

10/10/2015 8:08 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

1010-wiz-kalifa-getty-02Doesn't matter what Wiz Khalifa's name is ... he can't go around peeing in public ... according to Pittsburgh cops, who busted him early Saturday morning for allegedly doing just that.

Pittsburgh PD says it caught the rapper emptying his bladder outside a popular bar called The Flats on Carson ... around 2:30 AM Saturday. There's no mug shot coming ... it's just a ticket.

Wiz is from the Pittsburgh area, and ... of course, one of his biggest hits is "Black and Yellow."

NFL's Greg Hardy

Fires Back at Haters In Rap Video

... With Gunfire & Strippers

10/10/2015 12:20 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Embattled NFL star Greg Hardy -- the guy who was suspended for allegedly beating up his girlfriend -- is bragging that he'll never get "played" by a woman ever again.

And he's making his point with the use of a stripper, gunfire sound effects and marijuana imagery in a rap video obtained by TMZ Sports

We've learned ... the Dallas Cowboys defensive end made the video for "I'm Just Me" in late 2014 -- after he was convicted of beating up his GF, throwing her on a bed covered in assault rifles and threatening to kill her.

Hardy appealed the case -- and his conviction was overturned in 2015 after the alleged victim refused to testify against him in court.

But during his time in NFL purgatory (he missed most of the 2014 season) Hardy hooked up with rapper Ja Alan to make a video in which Hardy declares to his critics, "What you see is what you get. I'm just me, I'm just real, and that's what I do."

Ja confirms the video was made in late 2014.

Right before Hardy spits his featured verse, a chorus of gunfire rings out. He then raps about women -- saying, "It'll be a cold day in hell before your girl tries to play me."

Interesting, considering Hardy's been under fire this week for several comments he made in which he objectified women (Gisele) and seemingly mocked his own court case by saying he plans to come out "guns blazing" when he returns to the field this week.

If Hardy was planning to fix his image -- this video sure as hell ain't gonna help.

We called Hardy for comment -- so far, no word back.
