Patrick Dempsey heard the calls for him to run for Senate ... he just isn't answering them.

The "Grey's Anatomy" star is officially shutting down any speculation he could jump into Maine politics ... revealing in a lengthy open letter Wednesday that he seriously considered a run before deciding his future isn't in Washington ... amid talk over who could replace now-former Democratic Senate nominee Graham Platner.

Dempsey says he gave the idea "real thought" and asked himself whether he could make a meaningful difference in Congress ... but after plenty of soul-searching, he landed on one answer -- no.

Graham Platner's Senate campaign is over ... the embattled Democratic nominee has officially stepped aside amid a growing misconduct scandal, he announced Wednesday night.

Platner's withdrawal comes just days after multiple misconduct allegations rocked his campaign ... leaving Democrats scrambling to salvage the race.

Platner posted an emotional video on Wednesday officially announcing that he will be filing the paperwork to drop out of the race. Platner teared up as he told Mainers that he was suspending his campaign and to "keep fightin'" because "we're gonna win someday."

Fresh trouble for Graham Platner ... a second ex-girlfriend has stepped forward with new sexual misconduct allegations against the embattled Maine Senate candidate ... claiming he had a penchant for stealthily removing condoms without her consent when they were banging.

According to a new Washington Post report, Lyndsey Fifield claims Platner repeatedly removed condoms during sex without her knowledge or consent ... despite allegedly knowing she wasn't using birth control. She says she later confronted him about the alleged encounters, and a friend told the Post she remembered her being upset over his alleged behavior.

The latest claims come just one day after TMZ reported another former girlfriend, Jenny Racicot, accused the Democratic Senate candidate of sexually assaulting her.

Platner has denied both allegations.

The claws came out on "The View" when Sunny Hostin called out Marjorie Taylor Greene for comments she made about Graham Platner's accuser.

MTG was asked about the scandalized Senate hopeful on the show Tuesday ... where she seemed to imply the allegations were strategically timed.

She told the panel ... "I don’t know anything about his policies. I just started learning about him yesterday when I saw this blow up. However, I do know what establishment political hit jobs look like."

Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner is facing a new sexual assault allegation from a woman he previously dated ... an accusation he strongly denies.

Jenny Racicot -- a 41-year-old Maine woman -- tells Politico she had an on-and-off relationship with Platner for more than two years before he allegedly entered her home uninvited one night in late 2021 while deeply intoxicated. She claims Platner forced himself on her despite repeatedly being told to stop.

Platner doubled down on his denial in a video Monday ... while revealing he's taking time to consider the best path forward for his campaign in light of the allegation.

Phil Mickelson says someone's taking another swing at his reputation ... and he's swinging right back ... after a woman claimed he sent her an unsolicited nude and propositioned her.

The golf legend is vehemently denying the latest misconduct allegations tied to his name ... blasting the d*** pic allegation as an "anonymously sourced drive-by shooting" designed to generate clicks, not uncover the truth ... according to the New York Post.

As TMZ previously reported, allegations first surfaced last week when Ashley Perez -- the ex-wife of fellow pro golfer Pat Perez -- claimed Phil showed her a photo of his erect penis and propositioned her while her husband was in the bathroom during a tournament weekend in 2015.

A rep for Phil told reporters his wife, Amy Mickelson, supports her husband with "with extraordinary grace" and "unwavering love."

The statement comes after pro golfer Pat Perez's ex-wife, Ashley Perez, claimed Phil showed her a photo of his erect penis and propositioned her back in the day.

Kanye West and his former personal assistant Lauren Pisciotta are nearing an agreement to settle her bombshell lawsuit, which featured sexual harassment allegations and a slew of other disturbing claims.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, counsel for each side met June 4 for mediation and agreed in principle to settle the case. The court took the next hearing off the calendar to give the parties a chance to finalize the deal.

TMZ broke the story ... Lauren sued Ye in June 2024, claiming he fired her after sending her vile sexual texts and videos. Two of Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged victims believe he had help pulling off his horrific sex trafficking ring … and are pointing fingers at former Victoria’s Secret CEO Les Wexner … TMZ has learned.

In new court documents, obtained by TMZ, 2 Jane Does are suing Wexner for allegedly enabling Epstein’s crimes by giving him resources, access to his mansion, and the appearance of legitimacy.

According to the docs, which were filed Thursday, the girls say they were 17 -- and therefore minors -- when they were sexually assaulted at Epstein’s Manhattan mansion on East 71st Street … which they claimed Wexner had bought in 1989 before he "transferred it to Epstein for a fraction of its value."

Big Tigger landed in legal trouble after authorities arrested him on battery and cruelty to children charges ... and now we're learning it's all stemming from an alleged altercation with his wife.

According to documents, the incident traces back to a dispute in May between Tigger and his wife, Alicia Brown, at their Sandy Springs home.

Brown told investigators the argument erupted over text messages Tigger allegedly exchanged with a female co-worker over several weeks ... according to local outlet WSB-TV.

Big Tigger was arrested for battery and 3rd degree cruelty to children on Saturday ... TMZ has learned.

According to police records, the longtime radio personality and former host of BET's iconic "Rap City" was booked into the Fulton County Jail Saturday morning, but bonded out later in the day.

Officials with the jail tell us Big Tigger -- legal name Darian Morgan -- was released after posting surety bonds totaling $10,000 ... including a $9,000 bond tied to the aggravated battery charge and a $1,000 bond related to the cruelty-to-children charge.

The Nancy Guthrie ransom note TMZ received was the real deal, according to the FBI, but contrary to new reports, it did not contain an apology or a revelation she was dead.

There is something else ... TMZ received close to a dozen emails from a man claiming he knew both the identity of the kidnappers and the location of Nancy. The initial email he sent -- just days after the kidnapping -- said he would provide information in return for a single bitcoin, but "time is of the essence." He made it clear -- he was not a kidnapper.

The next day, he sent another email saying "time is no longer of the essence." Translation -- Nancy was no longer alive. The man continued to send emails, saying the kidnappers took Nancy to Mexico. He said he needed the money because he would have to go underground for fear of retribution. He was also concerned authorities might try to implicate him in the kidnapping.

Comedian Carlos Mencia just appeared in court for his felony tax case ... and he entered a not guilty plea to all 12 charges against him.

Prosecutors say Carlos -- born Ned Arnel Holness -- failed to report $8.7 million in income and owes more than $300K in unpaid state taxes ... and he faces more than a decade behind bars if convicted on all 12 counts.

Carlos did get some good news during Monday's hearing ... authorities tell TMZ his bail amount was reduced from $250,000 to $50,000 -- welcome news, no doubt, because the comic has been cooling his heels in an L.A. jail cell since last week's arrest.

Officials are looking into assault allegations made against New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith over the weekend ... with police telling TMZ Sports the case is currently under review.

A woman named Kristen went to social media on Sunday to drop the shocking claims ... saying, "Today is the DAY! GENO SMITH beat my ass cause he HATES taking care of his special needs kid and can't be left alone with him because he'd rather watch s*x online and play Call of Duty."

The post also included a video of the two arguing ... with Smith on the phone with an unidentified individual saying, "She just called the police."

Tyler Perry's male sexual assault accuser claims the star refuses to sit for a deposition unless there's a guarantee Tyler won't be asked about his sexual orientation ... but Tyler's lawyer is calling BS.

According to court docs obtained by TMZ, Mario Rodriguez wants the director sanctioned for failing to appear for a depo … which he claims to have been trying to take since April 14.

Mario said Tyler and his lawyer told him Tyler would only appear if they agreed not to ask Tyler whether he is, or has been, sexually attracted to men … a subject they say Tyler insists is "irrelevant and inflammatory."
