Todd Snider Country Singer Arrested After Alleged Assault

Americana singer-songwriter Todd Snider has been arrested in Salt Lake City, Utah, after being hospitalized to treat injuries he apparently sustained from an alleged assault outside his hotel.

According to the arrest affidavit, the Nashville-based musician was angry he was discharged from the Salt Lake City Regional Hospital and began yelling and cursing at the hospital staff. Cops say he was told to leave the property, which he did ... but they say he returned and "made verbal threats" to the alleged victim by getting in the person's face and saying he was going to "kick [their] ass."

Snider was subsequently arrested Sunday evening and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for disorderly conduct, trespassing, and making a threat of violence. He was released Monday to pretrial services, per a Salt Lake City Sheriff Department spokesperson.

Two suspects were rounded up by police after they went on a stabbing spree aboard a train in England, leaving 10 people injured ... nine of them critically.

The bloody rampage -- now being investigated by terrorism cops -- occurred Saturday night just after the train departed Peterborough Station in Cambridgeshire, about 74 miles north of London, according to The Sunday Times.

Once the train arrived at its next stop, Huntington Station, also in Cambridgeshire, dozens of armed police officers hopped aboard to investigate after receiving reports passengers were being attacked, The Times said.

Hollywood Producer 146 Years in Prison For Drugging, Raping, Murdering Women

Hollywood producer and serial rapist David Brian Pearce was sentenced to 146 years to life in prison Wednesday for the tragic drug overdose deaths of a model and her friend ... in addition to other heinous convictions.

Pearce was convicted of murdering 24-year-old Christy Giles and her 26-year-old friend Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola in the first degree back in February. According to ABC7 Los Angeles, further investigation also uncovered rapes he committed against several women over more than a decade -- he was also convicted of multiple counts including forcible rape, sexual penetration by use of force, rape of an unconscious person, and sodomy by use of force.

Prosecutors said Pearce reportedly met Giles and Cabrales-Arzola at an after-hours rave and later drugged them to facilitate a sexual assault.

Gloria Estefan's daughter's partner has been arrested for robbery ... and, it appears Emily Estefan is the alleged victim -- though cops are not revealing a name at this time.

Gemeny Hernandez -- who has been in a relationship with Emily Estefan for years -- was arrested Tuesday for felony strong-arm robbery and misdemeanor battery ... and the arrest affidavit identifies her domestic partner of eight years as the alleged victim.

While cops have redacted the name of the victim, Emily and Gemeny celebrated their eighth anniversary together last year, according to multiple reports.

'Family Matters' Darius McCrary RELEASED FROM JAIL ... En Route to Michigan

"Family Matters" star Darius McCrary is no longer being housed in a San Diego jail ... he's headed to Michigan for extradition.

McCrary's rep, Ann Barlow, tells TMZ the former sitcom star was extradited from California back to Michigan on Wednesday morning following his arrest earlier this month.

Barlow says she was caught off guard by the release -- receiving no prior notice -- and isn't sure whether McCrary is being transported via plane or bus back to Michigan.

Sebastian Van Stockum -- the Connecticut man accused of killing his mom -- once took a high school Forensic class that had the trappings of a Jeffrey Dahmer crime scene with simulated blood spatter, dead bodies, and human skeletons, according to a former classmate.

The ex-classmate tells TMZ she was in the same Forensics class with Stockum back at New Canaan High -- where the lessons included blood-spatter experiments in which students would stand on tables with a ruler and squirt fake blood to study blood patterns.

Students also learned how to zero in on someone's time of death based on body temperature, as well as studying skeletons and bones, and even watching a documentary about human corpses. Other projects included breaking down fabric under a microscope, learning about DNA, and solving mock crime scenes.

Federal prosecutors indicated in court documents this month that Chauncey Billups allegedly leaked confidential information about his Trail Blazers to at least one bettor.

Billups appears to be listed as "Co-Conspirator 8" in a now-unsealed indictment filed by feds last week in a New York court.

The clues aren't hard to decipher ... given "Co-Conspirator 8" is described as "an NBA player who played from roughly 1997 to 2014 who went on to become a coach in 2021."

Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups and Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier have been arrested in relation to a federal investigation into illegal gambling.

Rozier was arrested Thursday morning at a hotel in Orlando after Miami's road matchup with the Magic, ESPN reports. He did not play in the contest due to a coach's decision.

Billups, who is in his fifth season as head coach of Portland, was arrested in Oregon over an alleged "separate but related" illegal betting operation, ABC News reports. Billups coached in the Blazers' home loss to the Timberwolves just prior to being taken into custody.

The incident went down Monday when 54-year-old Jennifer Kleber allegedly sat down to grab some grub at Darrell’s Dog Gone Good Diner in Silver Springs. After she polished off the last bite, the bill came, but cops say she turned her nose up at it.

According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, the manager got involved, and remembered Kleber from her previous visits to the restaurant ... because she allegedly didn't pay those bills either.

Aaron Phypers Cops Never Got My Side of Denise's DV Allegations!!!

Aaron Phypers was shocked as he was arrested Friday for alleged domestic violence against Denise Richards ... 'cause he says the last time he spoke to cops, he was reporting HER for similar allegations.

Michael Finley, Aaron's lawyer, tells TMZ … Aaron wasn’t interviewed by authorities prior to having cuffs slapped on him on a felony arrest warrant connected to allegations Denise leveled from 2022.

TMZ broke the story ... Aaron was arrested at the courthouse during a restraining order hearing with Denise ... and subsequently charged with 2 felony counts of injuring a spouse and 2 felony counts of dissuading a witness by force or threat.

As we previously reported ... Aaron filed a report against Denise with the L.A. County Sheriff's Department over the summer for alleged vandalism, theft and assault related to the July 4th fight after filing for divorce. We're told they never reached out about Denise's allegations.

THE SILENT TREATMENT

Finley finds the Friday situation outrageous ... but tells us Aaron didn't need to be interviewed before a warrant was issued if a judge determined there was probable cause.

Aaron was sprung from the joint super quick ... Finley tells us, “people who care about him” ponied up the necessary funds to satisfy the $200,000 bail -- meaning he was only in custody a few hours.

We're told Aaron's in “good spirits, and all things considered, has a good attitude” about the situation ... 'cause he vehemently denies the accusations, and he's ready to fight the charges.

Finley tells TMZ ... he will remain Aaron's divorce lawyer and help him retain a criminal defense attorney.
