Johnny Depp Cops Race to L.A. Home After Security Scare

L.A.P.D. officers rolled over to Johnny Depp's L.A. mansion early Friday morning ... responding to a call about a possible breach in security ... but TMZ has learned, it was simply a "false alarm."

Law enforcement sources tell us ... Johnny wasn't home at the time ... but when officers arrived to the house, they checked out the property to make sure everything was okay.

Eventually, cops determined there was no actual threat -- and Johnny's house got the "all clear."

Muhammad Ali is ready for another big fight ... because he's suing a married couple that sold him a home that even Ty Pennington couldn't fix.

Ali and his wife, Yolanda, claim they bought the Louisville mansion back in 2006, and almost immediately discovered an array of ghastly problems, including a leaky roof, leaky chimney, mold, and structurally defective decking.

Ali and Yolanda say the unkindest cut of all is that the sellers knew the problems existed and then set out to deceive the greatest fighter of all time.

Ali and Yolanda are suing for unspecified damages.

Chris bought the home back in 2006 for $690,000 ... and he's now put it on the market for $699,900.

The McCourts bought the 8,400 square foot home back in 2004 -- in hopes of making it the "guest house" for the $25 million villa they purchased next door.

The problem is -- Frank and Jamie divorced before they got around to creating the massive 5 acre compound -- and the guest house was put up for sale.

Katherine Jackson has had a change of heart, deciding she doesn't want to sell the Jackson family home after all.

During a court hearing yesterday, Howard Weitzman, the lawyer for the Michael Jackson Estate, announced they were withdrawing their petition to get the judge's approval to sell the Hayvenhurst estate in Encino.

Weitzman said they submitted the petition because Katherine expressed a desire to sell the property but has since had second thoughts.

The court did, however, approve a petition for Katherine to buy another house. Sources tell TMZ ... she wants to buy the home she's currently renting in Calabasas, where she can live with Michael's 3 kids.
