The veep said something's gone really wrong with the far left and claimed it was a "statistical fact that most of the lunatics in American politics today are proud members of the far left."

Two people are in police custody after allegedly trying to blow up a local TV news van in Utah.

An explosives device was found under a news van belonging to KSTU FOX13 News Utah and the device "had been lit but failed to function as designed" ... according to KUTV, citing court records.

The explosives device was reportedly found Friday in Salt Lake City ... and the suspects were busted after FBI agents and bomb squads from local law enforcement descended on a residence in Magna, Utah, a city just to the northwest of Salt Lake City.

1:18 PM PT -- A Discord spokesperson tells TMZ ... "During our investigation, Discord identified an account belonging to the suspect. We have not found or received any evidence that the suspect planned this incident on Discord or promoted violence on Discord."

They continued ... "The messages referenced in reporting about weapon retrieval and planning details were not Discord messages, and likely took place on a phone-number based messaging platform. We continue to work closely with the FBI and local authorities, and will continue to deliver prompt responses to their requests for assistance."

The suspected killer of Charlie Kirk was messaging with people over social media after the assassination last week, claiming a lookalike fired the deadly shot, according to a new report.

The New York Times says Tyler Robinson was chatting with 20 individuals online after the FBI released photos of Kirk's alleged killer, which were the spitting image of Robinson.

One person reportedly recognized Robinson, tagging him in a post with the FBI pics and asking where he was at the time of the murder.

Morgan Wallen paid tribute to the grieving widow of Charlie Kirk just days after the conservative activist was killed in Utah.

The country superstar stopped his Edmonton show on Friday mid-set during his tour, taking a moment to address Erika Kirk, Charlie's wife. "I'm not gonna say a whole bunch on this, but this song right here has been hitting me harder in the last couple days," Wallen told the audience.

Charlie Kirk's fans are expected to come out in the thousands to remember his life and legacy ... with a memorial event scheduled in about a week's time.

Turning Point USA announced an event titled "Building A Legacy: Remembering Charlie Kirk" will take place on Sunday, September 21 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

The Arizona Cardinals play in the stadium -- they play on the road in San Francisco next week -- and, the official capacity of State Farm Stadium is 63,400.

New surveillance video shows Tyler Robinson -- the man suspected of fatally shooting Charlie Kirk Wednesday -- walking toward Utah Valley University's campus hours before he allegedly pulled the trigger.

Check out the clip -- a slender, young-looking man casually strolls in a residential neighborhood in Orem, Utah just outside the university's official grounds. He's wearing a strikingly similar outfit to the one officials said Tyler was sporting the morning of the shooting -- a maroon shirt, black cap, light-colored shorts and sneakers.

This would be the first time we are seeing him in the outfit on the day of the incident, as the FBI only released images of him in the black clothing he wore to allegedly commit the crime.

The UFC will honor the late Charlie Kirk on Saturday at "Noche UFC" ... days after the beloved activist was assassinated on a college campus in Utah.

TMZ Sports has learned the fight promotion will pay tribute to Kirk near the top of the main event at 6 PM ET ... going down in front of a packed crowd at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio.

Charlie Kirk’s alleged shooter Tyler Robinson was reportedly living with a transgender partner before the attack.

The individual -- who is a male transitioning to a female, according to Fox News correspondent Brooke Singman, who broke the news -- is fully cooperating with the FBI, Singman claimed in a tweet Saturday morning.

She also said the "FBI had texts and other communications between Robinson and the individual that helped FBI authorities solidify that Robinson was indeed the shooter."

Tyler Robinson -- the 22-year-old suspected of killing Charlie Kirk -- is currently being evaluated by jailhouse staff in a Special Housing Unit ... TMZ has learned.

Utah County Sheriff's Spokesperson Sergeant Raymond Ormond tells TMZ ... tells us Tyler's in the SHU under "Special Watch" while they work to determine if he's a danger to himself or others -- with mental health pros evaluating whether or not he's suicidal.

We don't know if he's made any comments which could indicate he's considering suicide in jail ... though law enforcement sources told us earlier Friday that Tyler allegedly indicated to his father he'd rather die by suicide than turn himself in to police.

Office Depot has fired an employee for refusing to print memorial posters featuring Charlie Kirk they labeled as "propaganda."

The situation went down Friday evening at an Office Depot location in Portage, Michigan ... and footage shared by attorney and Republican activist Matthew DePerno shows an employee identifying herself as a manager confirming the order would not be completed because, "it's propaganda."

DePerno claimed the Kalamazoo County Republican Party ordered the poster at 2:24 PM Friday and received a call from the store about 3 hours later notifying them the poster would not be printed because it was "propaganda."

Tyler Robinson's classmate is speaking out in the aftermath of his arrest in connection with Charlie Kirk's death ... sharing that the kid he remembers was a smart and goofy one, not a possible cold-hearted killer.

We caught up with the suspected shooter's classmate -- who chose to remain anonymous -- on "TMZ Live" Friday, mere hours after Robinson was apprehended and named as the main suspect in the fatal shooting of the conservative pundit.

And, as the classmate told us, he found the news "extremely shocking," as he couldn't believe someone he went to middle school and high school with could possibly be culpable for this kind of violence.

Charlie Kirk's death has sent shockwaves throughout the country, and his loss has resulted in various questions being raised about his legacy.

One of the most impactful aspects of his legacy was his leadership of Turning Point USA, which he set up and popularized over the course of his media career.

We're going to take a look into the background of Kirk's organization and see what changes it helped bring about in the political sphere.

Kirk cofounded Turning Point USA, which was set up as a nonprofit organization, alongside entrepreneur Bill Montgomery in 2012, according to The New York Times.

The businessman initially encountered the political commentator after he gave a speech at a college, after which the former advised Kirk to skip university and pursue his political interests.

Montgomery remained involved with the organization up until his death from complications related to COVID-19 in 2020, according to Politico.

Turning Point USA's personnel were able to secure backing from wealthy individuals over the years, and it raised over $8 million in funds from 2016 to 2017, according to The Daily Beast.

Turning Point USA's main focus was to promote right-wing ideals among high school students and college-age adults, and it encouraged members to start clubs and chapters at various institutions.

Kirk became notable for his appearances at college campuses, where he would set up booths and encourage students to debate him on hot-button issues.

The organization has sponsored various summits and conferences, and President Donald Trump made appearances at several of Turning Point USA's events over the years.

Turning Point USA also supported several shows and podcasts under its banner, and Kirk was the focus of many of its efforts.

Kirk was killed during the first stop on Turning Point USA's The American Comeback Tour, which was held at Utah Valley University in September 2025.

The commentator had just answered a question about transgender mass shooters when he was shot in the neck, causing the crowd of students around him to disperse. Authorities have since arrested Utah resident Tyler Robinson, who's been accused of murdering the media figure.

Kirk's murder was widely mourned within the right-wing sphere, and tributes flowed in from numerous prominent figures, including Trump, who revealed his plans to posthumously award the commentator with the Presidential Medal of Freedom during a speech at the Pentagon.
