Sydney Sweeney can't shake all the drama surrounding her controversial American Eagle ad ... 'cause she got heckled at her latest movie premiere Sunday night.

The actress rolled up in a black SUV to the "Americana" premiere at Desert 5 Spot in Hollywood — only to be heckled by some lady as she stepped out.

Check out the video, obtained by TMZ ... Sydney -- dressed like a princess in a pale yellow gown -- is being led by security from the SUV to the theater's entrance.

Donald Trump is all in on Sydney Sweeney's controversial American Eagle ad campaign ... and it's all because of her voter registration.

In an official IG post Friday, they clarified the "Sydney Sweeney has great jeans" tag is, and always has been, about jeans ... subtly shutting down critics who linked the ad to white-supremacy eugenics.

The statement declares the ad is all about Sydney’s jeans and her story ... adding that as a brand, they're all about celebrating how everyone rocks their AE jeans with confidence.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... the ad campaign is creating tremendous buzz and their independent polling shows the vast majority of folks -- around 70% -- find the commercial appealing.

The spot centers around Sydney buttoning up some AE jeans and touting her biological makeup, where she breathily says, "Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality and even eye color ... my jeans are blue."
