Jay Cutler's legal troubles are piling up because the ex-NFL quarterback has been hit with a lawsuit over his 2024 DUI crash ... days after a judge sentenced him to four days behind bars.

According to court documents, obtained by TMZ, Perry Lee -- the driver Cutler rear-ended last October -- filed suit in Tennessee on Tuesday, claiming the former Chicago Bears star was "at fault for the collision." Lee's filing claims Cutler was tailgating, not paying attention, and failed to use "reasonable and due care" while allegedly intoxicated.

Lee says the wreck left him with mounting medical bills, physical and mental suffering, and a diminished quality of life. Lee's attorneys John Morgan and Sydney Pierce tell TMZ, "Our client is a veteran who was injured in a car crash due to the alleged negligence of another driver ... His injuries cause him daily pain and have eroded his quality of life. We are seeking justice so he can get the care he needs."

Jay Cutler cut a deal with prosecutors on Tuesday to close out his DUI case ... and part of the pact he agreed to will now require him to spend a few more days behind bars, TMZ Sports is told.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... Kristin Cavallari's ex pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor DUI in a Tennessee courtroom, while Williamson County prosecutors dismissed the weapon possession charge he had been facing after he forfeited the weapon.

Cutler was then sentenced to four days in jail -- which we're told he'll have to begin serving by the end of next month.

A Southwest Airlines pilot who cops say failed multiple field sobriety tests minutes before he was supposed to fly is denying doing so ... despite being arrested on the jet bridge.

David Allsop -- a 52-year-old pilot that's been flying with Southwest for 20 years -- tells TMZ in a statement through his attorney David Chaiken that the body cam video of his arrest shows the "obvious" -- that he committed no crime.

He also claims "experts" have reviewed the footage and determined officers implementing the field sobriety tests did so without following "proper procedures." He adds ... "These procedures are in place for a reason, to prevent mistakes like this one."

Newly released police video shows Mary Lou Retton flaunted her celebrity status during her arrest earlier this year ... at one point yelling to officers, "I'm West Virginia's First Daughter!"

The run-in with the Fairmont City Police Department took place in Marion County, W.V., back on May 17 ... after authorities said she was driving recklessly.

An incident report stated during a traffic stop, cops smelled booze on her person ... and noted she was slurring her words. It added "a screw top container of wine" was visible in her passenger seat as well.

11 AM PT -- We just found out what Karen Read and her crew ordered at her celebratory steak dinner last night -- and it was a serious feast.

A staffer at Mastro’s Ocean Club tells TMZ the group dug into multiple seafood towers, a spread of sliced steaks -- including bone-in ribeyes and bone-in filets -- and wrapped things up with butter cake, chocolate cake, and key lime pie.

Another source tells us the 3-hour-long dinner featured lobster, mashed potatoes, and asparagus ... with each guest ordering their own alcoholic drinks

Now that’s an order!

Karen Read celebrated her huge victory in court Wednesday at one of the finest steakhouses in Massachusetts ... she was as happy as a clam -- and so was her dad!

Read showed up last night at Mastro's Ocean Club in the Boston seaport to gnaw on a big juicy steak and other yummy delicacies following her acquittal in her retrial for the 2022 murder of her police officer boyfriend, John O'Keefe, and two other charges, including motor vehicle manslaughter. But, Read was found guilty on a lesser charge of driving under the influence and handed a sentence of a year on probation.

As Read, her dad and her lawyers arrived at the restaurant, a bunch of journalists gathered outside and began hurling questions at Karen. One of the reporters asked how she was feeling ... and Read cracked a big smile, saying, "Happy. I'm happy, thank you."

Edmund J. Rollo released a statement to TMZ Sports on Tuesday, insisting the Daily Mail's report that Retton's family had not "seen or heard from her" since her mid-May arrest was "grossly inaccurate."

"This report did not originate from Mary Lou's family, as the article stated," said Rollo, who was hired by Retton after prosecutors levied the misdemeanor DWI charge on her on May 17.
