Gene Simmons drove headfirst into a parked car in Malibu and it looks like it's lucky he didn't drive off a cliff and into the ocean ... according to video TMZ obtained from his recent car crash.

The KISS rocker's SUV delivered the brunt of the damage to a truck that was parked along Pacific Coast Highway ... as you can see, the truck's hood is bent and crumpled, while Gene's Lincoln Navigator looks mostly unharmed.

Gene's wife Shannon told us her husband fainted behind the wheel and drifted across a couple lanes of traffic before crashing into a parked car ... and based on what's in the aftermath video, it looks like Gene would have gone over the bluff, onto the beach and possibly into the ocean if he didn't hit this truck.

Diane Keaton's family says she died from pneumonia ... and a longtime friend tells TMZ the actress' death didn't come as a surprise because she had been ill for a while.

A longtime friend of Diane's told us she was struggling with an unnamed illness leading up to her October 11 death ... and the decline in Diane's health meant news of her passing was "not a shock" to the pal.

Diane died this past Saturday at age 79 ... and as TMZ first reported, the L.A. Fire Dept. paramedics responded to her home around 8:08 AM, transporting one person -- confirmed by sources as Keaton -- by ambulance to a nearby hospital.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman isn't answering questions about the D4vd-Celeste Rivas investigation yet because he says the case hasn't been turned over to his office.

Our photog asked Nathan for an update Wednesday at a press conference about an unrelated case ... and all Hochman said was it's a "continuing investigation."

The county's top prosecutor also wouldn't get into possible suspects -- such as D4vd, or anyone else -- when our photog brought up the singer.

LAPD's sitting on a potential goldmine in the D4vd investigation ... surveillance videos from the singer's Hollywood Hills rental home that could reveal whether Celeste Rivas was there prior to her mysterious death.

TMZ has learned cops seized all the footage from multiple security cameras at the house last month while executing a search warrant. The owner of the house, Malden Trifunovic, tells us the external cameras would show anyone who went in or out of the house ... so, the footage could help cops track Celeste's movements leading up to her demise.

Malden says he hasn't seen any of the footage himself, because he intentionally did not have access to the cameras, to allow his renters privacy -- so, he has no idea if Celeste was ever in the house. He says he's asked LAPD for a copy of the warrant and an itemized list of what was seized from the house, but has not gotten a response.

10:03 AM PST -- Belton police tell TMZ … Rudy Youngblood was arrested Tuesday after an officer stopped to talk to the owner of a vehicle parked near a Lake Belton boat ramp at about 12:20 AM.

During the stop, it was discovered the Travis County Sheriff’s Office had a warrant out for his arrest for assaulting a family or household member by impeding their breathing or circulation.

Furthermore, a white crystalline substance was located on the actor during the arrest, police say. He is still in Bell County Jail with additional charges pending the lab results.

Actor Rudy Youngblood -- best known for his role in Mel Gibson's Oscar-nominated film "Apocalypto" -- has been arrested for allegedly launching a violent attack on someone close to him, according to police.

Rudy was arrested by Belton police officers in Texas early Tuesday morning ... after he allegedly assaulted a family or household member by impeding their breathing or circulation, cops said.

He's being held at the Bell County Jail on a $20,000 bond.

Ellen Greenberg's 2011 death from multiple stab wounds in the back of her head and neck was ruled a suicide once again ... but a forensic pathologist tells TMZ that's "biomechanically implausible."

Veteran death investigator Joseph Scott Morgan joined us on "TMZ Live" Tuesday, saying he was shocked when he heard the ruling ... "You could've knocked me over with a feather, as they say."

He continued, "We thought that science would prevail. None of us really saw this coming."

Daniel Stern -- best known for his role in "Home Alone" -- was rushed to the emergency room earlier this month ... but fortunately, he is doing just fine now.

This incident went down on October 7th, with the Ventura County Fire Department telling TMZ they responded to a residence in Somis, California, for a medical emergency. Sources tell us the individual was Daniel, although it's unclear what the medical issue was.

The dept says the individual was assessed by firefighters and eventually transported to a nearby hospital. Sources tell us Daniel has since been released.
