9:15 AM PT -- Boosie Badazz's lawyer, Carl A. Moore tells TMZ ... "We plan to vigorously investigate and defend Mr. Hatch against these allegations --- we wish everyone would reserve any judgement and allow this case to play out in court." 

He adds, "Mr. Hatch was trying to defend his female relative who was being escorted out of the club by the security guard. He was trying to deescalate the situation. We're trying to obtain any surveillance from the club that will show what exactly happened."

Boosie Badazz is facing a felony charge for allegedly smashing a glass hookah base over a nightclub bouncer's head.

According to court docs, obtained by TMZ, Boosie’s criminal charge stems from an alleged incident at Dome nightclub in Houston.

The Houston Police Department says security guard Edward Iglehart was clearing out the club at closing time on May 24 when he got into it with a female patron who wanted to use the bathroom.

Foster's brother, Leon Sylvers III, tells TMZ he died in hospice following a battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. More updates will come from their sister, Pat Sylvers.

The British pop star wed actor Callum Turner Sunday in London, opting for a small ceremony at the Old Marylebone Town Hall in London. Photos published online show the thrilled newlyweds smiling wide as they walk down the town hall's steps with family members on either side.

They were celebrated by 8 of their loved ones, according to The Sun, who threw confetti their way before they slipped into a black vehicle.

6:30 PM PT -- Ronald LaPread died following a brief illness, his representative tells TMZ.

Ronald LaPread -- one of the founding members and bassist for soul band the Commodores -- has died.

His daughter, music producer Soraya LaPread, shared the sad news on social media Saturday. She did not divulge any details of his passing, but NZ Herald reported he died following a "sudden medical event" in Auckland. Ronald had been living in New Zealand since the 1980s.

TMZ has reached out so Soraya and the Commodores for comment ... so far, no word back.
