We got Da Brat and her wife, Jesseca "Judy" Harris-Dupart, at LAX on Thursday and asked her about the Congressman telling TMZ DC his post about homosexuality having 'no place in America' was actually shared by a staffer, not him.

Da Brat didn't seem too convinced by the explanation, telling us comments like that are the kind nobody wants to own once the blowback begins ... and she's sorry for all the homophobes out there.

M.I.A. says Kid Cudi didn't have the guts to fire her directly ... claiming she found out she'd been dumped from his tour when her son called from school and told her she was out.

Legendary bassist John B. Williams -- best known for playing on "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson" -- is on hospice being cared for by 'round-the-clock nurses, TMZ has learned.

His wife, Jessica Williams, tells TMZ ... he recently suffered a fall and subsequently underwent brain surgery as a result of his injuries. Jessica, an accomplished musican herself, says John had dementia prior to the fall, but the fall greatly accelerated its progression.

At this point, John is unable to walk and can't talk, and his health is on the decline. We're told one if his last conversations was with his daughter.

Stefon Diggs is breaking his silence on that viral spat with Cardi B ... and from his point of view, it wasn't much of a fight at all.
