2026 Winter Olympics ICE Agents To Have Presence In Italy ... Providing Diplomatic Security
Amid rising tensions in the States, some ICE agents are getting out of Dodge ... U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement will play a role in providing security in Italy during the 2026 Winter Olympics, which start in February.
The federal agents will not be running immigration enforcement, but will instead help provide diplomatic security during the Games in Milan, according to the Associated Press, a role they've also played during past Olympics.
As you might expect, given recent headlines surrounding the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, not everyone is rolling out the red carpet for ICE ... including the mayor of the host city, Milan, who isn't happy.

Ryan Wedding made his first court appearance following his arrest last week in Mexico City ... with the alleged international drug kingpin pleading not guilty to all 17 felony charges against him, and his attorney urging the public to keep an open mind.
Wedding appeared before Judge John D. Early on Monday afternoon in a Santa Ana courtroom. On top of his not guilty plea, he was ordered jailed without bond and will remain in U.S. custody.

Ryan Wedding, Canadian Olympic snowboarder-turned-alleged international drug kingpin, is back in the United States of America after being arrested in Mexico City Thursday night ... and there's video of the moment he walked off the plane, surrounded by federal agents.
Wedding, who was on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list, landed at Ontario International Airport on Friday, about 40 miles outside Los Angeles.
The 44-year-old was rocking a black baseball cap with a black vest, grey undershirt and a pair of jeans with his hands cuffed out front as he walked off the jet and across the tarmac.

Canadian Olympic snowboarder-turned-alleged international drug kingpin, Ryan Wedding, has been arrested after more than a year on the run.
Wedding, wanted by the U.S. government, is in custody. He was arrested in Mexico late Thursday night, FBI director Kash Patel said.
He will be transported to the U.S. to face justice, he added.
