Police say a home connected to Austin Metcalf -- the teenager who lost his life during a stabbing incident at a track meet earlier this month -- was swatted on Thursday.
According to the Frisco Police Department, authorities rushed to a Metcalf family home in Frisco, Texas after receiving a call regarding a gunshot.
An FPD spokesperson, though, said officers on the scene quickly determined it was a swatting call -- aka a hoax aimed to disturb the Metcalfs -- and they left.

6:42 PM PT -- Haley Joel Osment tells TMZ ... "I’m absolutely horrified by my behavior. Had I known I used this disgraceful language in the throes of a blackout, I would have spoken up sooner. The past few months of loss and displacement have broken me down to a very low emotional place."
Haley is referring to the loss of his home and belongings during the Eaton Fire this past January.
Haley's statement continues... "But that’s no excuse for using this disgusting word. From the bottom of my heart, I apologize to absolutely everyone that this hurts. What came out of my mouth was nonsensical garbage - I’ve let the Jewish community down and it devastates me. I don’t ask for anyone’s forgiveness, but I promise to atone for my terrible mistake."
Haley Joel Osment was in the back of a police car on his way to jail when he called his arresting officer a "Nazi" and a Jewish slur ... at least according to police body cam footage.
TMZ just obtained the video from Haley's arrest at a California ski resort and you hear him calling the cop driving him to jail a "f***** Nazi" and the "K" word.

Florida Crash Speeding SUV Crashes Into Cop Car on Highway ... Full Force Caught on Cam
Two Florida cops came terrifyingly close to death when an SUV barreling down the highway slammed straight into a patrol unit and a disabled car pulled over on the side of the road -- and the whole thing was caught on dashcam video.
The unoccupied sheriff's SUV was parked on the right shoulder in front of another marked police unit and a disabled vehicle, which was occupied by a passenger -- and despite emergency lights flashing, a 35-year-old female driver veered onto the shoulder and slammed straight into the cop vehicle in the rear with full force in Volusia County.
The impact caused the SUV to strike the disabled vehicle too, sending the woman's Hyundai Tucson spinning across three lanes of traffic before it smashed into a guardrail on the other side. The whole thing happened early Sunday around 3 AM.
Kansas City Police Rogue ATV Rider Mows Down Officer ... Suspect Still at Large
An ATV driver in Kansas City, Missouri went rogue over the weekend ... running over a KC police officer as they attempted to avoid a tire-deflation device employed by the officer.
The shocking scene was captured on video ... the officer appears to be in direct contact with the ATV, gripping it with both hands -- before it rapidly backs up, forcing the officer to tumble to the ground.
The officer gets back to his feet ... but not for long, as the ATV pops a wheelie and fully runs him over, before fleeing.
Courthouse Chaos Gas Mask Assailant Goes On Wild Pepper Spray Spree ... Caught On Video
A wild scene played out in Massachusetts on Monday when a man wearing a gas mask and carrying pepper spray went on a rampage at a courthouse ... but was eventually arrested by the authorities.
Surveillance video of the incident was released Tuesday, and it shows suspect Nicholas Akerberg climbing the steps of Woburn District Court in a helmet, gas mask and combat boots before rushing up to the front door.
Akerberg allegedly points the can of pepper spray at a guard who's trying to shut the door from inside the building.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro may have saved the lives of himself and his family after a suspected arsonist set fire to his residence early Sunday morning.
Harrisburg Fire Chief Brian Enterline said Monday that Shapiro had inadvertently closed a door in a stairwell that prevented the flames from quickly spreading to the bedrooms where he and his family were sleeping.
Enterline said if the door had been left ajar, the blaze would have "put the governor at greater risk." But because the door was shut, Enterline said, the rapid movement of the flames was stymied, offering Shapiro, his wife and four children a chance to escape without injury.

Former Louisiana State University wide receiver Kyren Lacy is suspected to have died by a self-inflicted gunshot wound following a police pursuit ... TMZ has learned.
According to documents and law enforcement sources ... a call for service in the Houston area regarding a weapons disturbance was made around 11:15 PM Saturday night in the Houston area -- with the reportee allegedly telling officers Lacy, her family member, got into a verbal argument with her and then fired a weapon into the ground before fleeing the scene.
Cops say they spotted Lacy's car and attempted to pull him over, but say Lacy drove off, leading to a vehicular police pursuit.

Cain Velasquez was recently moved into his new home for the foreseeable future -- Wasco State Prison -- where he posed for a brand new mugshot ... which TMZ Sports has obtained.
Velasquez, 42, who was sentenced to five years in prison for attempted murder on March 24, was transferred from the county jail near San Jose to the Cali state prison in Wasco.

12:53 PM PT -- The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office confirmed in a news release Friday the use-of-force incident is under investigation. Officials said deputies were responding to multiple reports of a man walking in traffic and making obscene gestures at drivers Thursday night. The suspect, identified as Le Chau, allegedly began fighting with the female deputy who was first to arrive and who tried to handcuff the man. The fight went to the ground, and a second arriving deputy helped detain the suspect ... who allegedly ignored requests to stop resisting and fighting, resulting in the strikes to his head.
Chau was handcuffed and then treated at a hospital. When he was later booked for resisting an officer with force or violence, battery on a police officer, and disturbing the peace by intoxication, officials say, he again "initiated a physical confrontation" with deputies, resulting in more charges. The Sheriff's Office says Chau has been arrested more than 20 times since 2014, with multiple convictions for resisting an officer.
Law enforcement in Louisiana used a suspect's head as a punching bag during an arrest in broad daylight on a public street -- and the vicious beatdown was all caught on video.
Check out the wild footage, obtained by TMZ ... two cops are trying to restrain the man who is lying on his side on the the ground in Harvey, LA, in the New Orleans metro area, around 6:30 PM Thursday.
As you can see ... one the officers is kneeling down to cuff the man while the other cop is standing over him during the struggle.
