An innocent family's quick stop for McDonald's turned into every parent's worst nightmare ... and now an 11-year-old girl will have to live with a bullet lodged in her head.

The young girl remains hospitalized after she was struck during a shooting in a McDonald's parking lot in Hallandale Beach, Florida on June 27. According to a GoFundMe organized by her father's coworkers ... doctors determined removing the bullet right now would be too dangerous because it could cause even more damage.

Her father, Oscar, was also wounded after gunfire broke out between other people in the parking lot. The fundraiser says he and his family had absolutely nothing to do with the confrontation ... they had just arrived for lunch, with Oscar waiting in the car alongside his three children while his wife went inside to pick up their food.

What started as a day of fireworks and beach parties turned into hours of mayhem in Newport Beach ... with massive crowds, mounted police, fights spilling into the streets, and damage outside several local spots.

Videos circulating on social media show officers on horseback patrolling packed stretches of the beach as thousands of Fourth of July revelers flooded the area.

Other clips capture police rushing into large crowds to break up fights while partygoers scattered in every direction.

4:28 PM PT -- The Pelosis released a statement which reads, “Mr. Paul Pelosi has personally apologized to the owner of the vehicle and assured them that he would take responsibility for the damage to their vehicle. Speaker Pelosi will not be commenting further on this private matter.”

Paul Pelosi -- Nancy Pelosi's husband -- may face a misdemeanor hit & run charge ... after cops say he caused major damage to a parked car.

Henry Wofford -- the spokesperson for the Napa County Sheriff's Spokesperson -- tells TMZ ... the sheriff's office is submitting a report to the district attorney recommending Paul receive a charge of misdemeanor hit and run for property damage.

This comes after the department released a statement claiming officers responded to a report of a car crashing into an unoccupied parked vehicle in the town of Yountville, California.

A Houston man allegedly thought soaking strangers would make good content ... now cops say it's evidence.

Christopher Cayce was arrested after Houston police say the 34-year-old allegedly targeted homeless and disabled people with a high-powered, motorized water gun -- recording the encounters and posting the videos to social media.

According to HPD, investigators linked Cayce to multiple incidents in which victims were allegedly sprayed with enough force to cause bodily injuries. Authorities also claim he taunted the victims during the encounters before uploading the clips online.

As TMZ reported ... there are going to be more than 70 detectives from precincts all across the city assigned to Friday's wedding celebration ... and they'll be working 8.5-hour shifts at $80 to $90 an hour.

The family of the doodle Jameson, who was shot to death by an LAPD officer last month during the NBA Finals ... has slapped the city with a lawsuit.

According to legal docs obtained by TMZ ... Jameson's owners, Marie Marseille and  Jeremiah Garcia, claim the officer who fatally shot the dog used "excessive and unreasonable" force, which they say amounts to "unlawful seizure." They are also suing for negligence.

We've been following the heartbreaking case -- Marie's neighbor called the cops for a welfare check after she was heard screaming from her apartment, and it was later discovered she was celebrating the Knicks' NBA Championship victory. During Marie's encounter with police, Jameson was shot to death ... with the LAPD claiming Jameson charged at them after Marie was ordered to keep him under control.

The Alabama man suspected of strangling his girlfriend to death and then dying of an apparent heart attack while disposing of her body got hit with some major "karma," according to the victim's brother.

Last month, Daniel Robbins allegedly murdered Jessica Folds in Chambers County, AL, amid their turbulent relationship, police said. As Robbins dragged Folds' body into the woods, he suddenly keeled over and died from a possible heart attack, cops said. 

Folds' brother, Jason Walters, now tells TMZ ... karma caught up with Robbins as he was carrying out his evil deed, adding, "The lord works in mysterious ways."

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are running a tight ship for their wedding weekend ... because even the cops working inside aren't allowed to have their phones ... TMZ has learned.

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... NYPD officers assigned to work inside the event at Madison Square Garden have no phones. Our sources say the officers were told if they don't like it, they don't have to work the event.

And we're told that rule isn't just for Thursday night's rehearsal dinner ... cops working inside have to go phoneless when inside MSG the entire wedding weekend.

Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce's wedding plan may be a secret to their own guests ... but it seems the NYPD may have a timeline ... or at least some private info about the event of the century.

NBC New York captured photos of one of New York's Finest holding a booklet with "Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Wedding" and "Thursday 7/2" scrawled across the front.

There are other words written on the front -- and a photo -- which are hard to make out in the pics snapped by reporters. It's unclear what's in the booklet.

Taylor Swift's wedding events in New York City have more security than Fort Knox ... even her Big Apple apartment is being heavily guarded by NYPD ... and it's all on video.

Police are standing watch outside Taylor's place ... and in the footage, you can see there are several officers at the door and across the street.

And this isn't the only example of an upped security presence ahead of Taylor and Travis Kelce's big day ... Madison Square Garden is crawling with cops, National Guard, and military.

OnlyFans model Courtney Clenney's legal team says Christian Obumseli -- Courtney's boyfriend who she allegedly killed during a violent confrontation in 2022 -- isn't the harmless victim prosecutors portray him as ... they say he had an arrest warrant for animal cruelty when he died.

Courtney's lawyers submitted a new filing, obtained by TMZ, this week in which they note prosecutors may wish to present evidence claiming Christian was peaceful, and not the aggressor in the confrontation they say led to his death.

In anticipation of this, Courtney's lawyers are asking the court to allow them to present counterevidence in the form of an arrest warrant for animal cruelty issued by law enforcement in Texas against Christian.

The FBI is giving it to us straight from the horse's mouth ... telling TMZ some of the Nancy Guthrie ransom notes might be legit, but others not so much.

FBI Phoenix tells us ... “The FBI and its task force partners have received several ransom notes over the course of this investigation. Some have been deemed to be extortion attempts without legitimacy. Other ransom demands may potentially be legitimate and are still being investigated as such."

The statement goes on, saying ... "This case continues to be investigated as a kidnapping for ransom case. The FBI has and will continue to offer all assistance possible in the investigation -- however local authorities remain the lead."

Newly released body cam video shows the nerve-racking pursuit from the cops' point of view ... capturing officers scaling the iconic skyscraper's steel spire before finally cornering the daredevil duo -- famed "rooftoppers" Ivan Beerkus and Angela Nikolau -- hundreds of feet above Manhattan.

The footage -- released Wednesday by NYC Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch -- shows officers carefully navigating the narrow metal framework until they reach the climbers. From there, the pair are calmly escorted back down through the maze of beams before they're ultimately slapped in handcuffs.

A baby found dead in a porta-potty at Electric Forest music festival in Michigan underwent an autopsy ... but the investigation is hitting roadblocks ... TMZ has learned.

Lieutenant Patrick Agema of the Michigan State Police tells TMZ ... police have not yet received a final autopsy report, so they're unable to determine whether the baby was born alive.

Agema says more information on the tragic death will come out, but it has to be made "by the forensic pathologist following a complete review of the autopsy findings" ... and until that report gets submitted, police don't want to speculate on the cause or manner of death.

Baltimore Ravens star Calais Campbell's brother has been charged with murdering their mother after she was found dead inside her Atlanta home.

Nateal Campbell, 71, was found unresponsive Tuesday in her upscale Buckhead townhome after a concerned family member asked police to perform a welfare check ... according to WSB-TV.

The Atlanta Police Department said responding officers learned a male "appeared to have barricaded himself inside the home" when they arrived ... and he was ultimately arrested.

Calais' brother, Ciarre Campbell, was booked into the Fulton County Jail on charges of murder, aggravated assault, and gun possession after midnight, per online jail records.
