According to the world's richest man, his friend's assassination reinforced the severity of the situation, making him more reclusive. He couldn't seem to recall the last time he'd been out on a routine errand like a grocery store run or a stop at a drugstore.

Kris Boyd Alleged Shooter Appears In Court

The 20-year-old man accused of shooting Jets player Kris Boyd in NYC appeared before a judge on Tuesday ... with prosecutors claiming surveillance footage and cell phone records pin him to the scene of the crime.

Frederick Green was formally read his charges in connection with the Nov. 16 incident -- one count of attempted murder, one count of assault, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

The judge granted prosecutors' request for remand ... meaning he'll remain in custody.

Kentucky State University 1 Dead in Campus Shooting ... Suspect in Custody

At least one person is dead and another person is wounded in critical condition after a campus shooting at Kentucky State University Tuesday afternoon.

Local outlet WDRB-TV reports a suspect is in custody following the incident, which took place at a campus dorm.

According to the outlet, officers arrived at the campus in Frankfurt, Kentucky just after 3:30 PM Tuesday. The school was immediately secured and locked down.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear posted about the incident, writing, "We are aware of a reported shooting at Kentucky State University in Frankfort. At this time, we are aware of some injuries. We will share more information as available. Law enforcement are on scene, and a suspect has been arrested. Let’s pray for all those affected."

Kris Boyd Shooting Suspect Charged W/ Attempted Murder

A 20-year-old man has been hit with an attempted murder charge for his alleged role in the Kris Boyd shooting ... with the suspected gunman spotted being escorted out of a police station in handcuffs on Tuesday.

Frederick Green from the Bronx is facing three charges stemming from the Nov. 16 incident -- on top of the attempted murder, he's also accused of assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

South Africa Mass Shooting 12 Dead in Deadly Bar Massacre

A mass shooting tore through an unlicensed bar in South Africa over the weekend ... leaving 12 people dead, including three young children, as police search for multiple gunmen who opened fire without warning.

The attack went down early Saturday inside a bar operating out of a hostel west of Pretoria. Cops say 10 victims died on scene, and two more passed away at the hospital.

Among the dead ... a 3-year-old boy, a 12-year-old boy, and a 16-year-old girl ... all caught in a hail of bullets during what should've been an ordinary night for locals. Another 13 people were rushed to the hospital with gunshot wounds. Authorities haven't released their ages or conditions.

National Guard Member Slowly Healing After Shooting ... Family 'Optimistic' About Progress

Andrew Wolfe -- one of the two National Guard members shot the day before Thanksgiving in Washington, D.C. -- is recovering well ... according to the West Virginia governor.

Governor Patrick Morrisey provided the update via his website Friday ... revealing he's been in contact with the family -- and, they "report that his head wound is slowly healing and that he's beginning to ‘look more like himself.'"

The governor stated Andy will likely be in acute care for at least a couple more weeks ... but, the family's full of optimism after the tragic attack.

The man the prosecutors say shot two National Guard members last week in Washington D.C., killing one of them, is pleading not guilty to the charges against him ... doing so from his hospital bed.

Federal prosecutors charged Rahmanullah Lakanwal earlier today with first-degree murder, assault with intent to kill while armed, and two counts of possessing a firearm during a crime of violence.

Lakanwal appeared in court virtually from his hospital bed and pleaded not guilty.

Dramatic footage of the shooting's aftermath surfaced online, showing people running for their lives from the Westfield Valley Fair Mall in San Jose. The shooting occurred one day after Thanksgiving, when the stores are packed with Black Friday bargain hunters.

San Jose PD said cops responded to the mall after receiving a call of shots fired late Friday afternoon. Terrifying dispatch audio describes multiple people calling 911, and you can hear a responder say there are reports of "a trail of blood" from Macys.

Washington, D.C. Shooting New Vid of Nat'l Guard Firing Back ... As Suspect Captured

National Guard members bravely fired back during the Washington, D.C. attack in the moments before the suspect's capture ... newly released video shows.

The witness video, obtained by the Wall Street Journal, appears to show suspect Rahmanullah Lakanwal with a revolver in his hand, and you can hear gunfire from a National Guard member as they return fire. You can also see a U.S. soldier on the ground.

As we've reported, Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe and specialist Sarah Beckstrom were both shot during the Wednesday afternoon attack ... and 20-year-old Beckstrom died Thursday from her injuries. Sgt. Wolfe remains in critical condition.

These new images of the intense firefight -- just 3 blocks from the White House -- were captured by a witness as they were driving past the chaotic scene. The suspect was also shot and severely injured when he was taken down and captured shortly after this video was recorded.

Officials have just revealed more information about the shooting that left 2 National Guard members in critical condition in D.C. ... confirming the identity of the suspect and detailing what happened just blocks away from the White House.

The FBI, U.S. Attorney's office, and the National Guard just updated the public about the tragic Washington, D.C. incident ... officially confirming the shooter as a 29-year-old Afghan named Rahmanullah Lakanwal.

Jeanine Pirro, U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, said the 2 National Guard members -- 24-year-old Andrew Wolfe and 20-year-old Sarah Beckstrom -- were ambushed by Lakanwal, who was armed with a .357 Smith & Wesson revolver ... adding after the shooting, their fellow guardsmen quickly swooped in to subdue the suspect. She says she believes Wolfe and Beckstrom were sworn in about 24 hours before the shooting.
