Kelsey Grammer's strained relationship with his daughter has been going on for years ... and TMZ has learned some people close to the family believe his current wife may be driving a wedge between them.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Kelsey and Mason Grammer's relationship has been strained for a long time, and they believe Kayte Walsh has contributed to the rift by failing to nurture a relationship with her stepdaughter.

We're told Kelsey tends to believe whatever Kayte tells him, and Mason has spent years trying to build relationships with both her father and stepmother. Our sources say Kelsey is close with his son, Jude, and they believe that's because Kayte doesn't feel threatened by him the way they believe she does by Mason.

One source tells TMZ ... "A daughter should never have to compete for a place in her father's life."

Noah Wyle may is the Sexiest Man Alive ... but Eddie Murphy apparently didn't think he was all that special as a kid ... telling the future star to "f*** off" when he asked for an autograph.

"The Pitt" actor recalled the savage snub during this week's episode of "Good Hang with Amy Poehler" ... revealing he was just 9 years old when he approached Eddie and told him how much he loved watching him on "Saturday Night Live."

Eddie's first response? "What are you doing up that late?" ... but when Noah pressed him for an autograph, the comedian allegedly fired back, "F*** off, man."

Brandi Glanville had fans fearing she'd lost an entire ear during her latest surgery ... but her ear is still very much attached, TMZ has learned.

Sources close to Brandi tell TMZ ... doctors went in through her ear to perform the procedure, but she still has her ear despite her shocking social media post claiming otherwise.

The 'RHOBH' alum raised eyebrows Thursday when she wrote on X ... "Maybe it's my dads way of keeping my mind busy so I stop crying since I had one entire ear taken off:/"

Actress Elke Sommer -- best known for her sexy role as Maria Gambrelli in Peter Sellers' “Pink Panther” franchise -- has died one week before her 86th birthday, according to a new report.

Sommer's stepson, Sebastian Walther, told German news outlet Bild that Sommer died from heart failure Wednesday at her home in Bel Air, a ritzy neighborhood in Los Angeles. Sebastian also said Sommer's husband, Wolf Walther, died three months earlier after losing his battle with cancer.

Born in Berlin, Germany, Sommer spent nearly 6 decades as a Hollywood actress, kicking off her successful movie career in the 1960s with her most famous role as Gambrelli in the 1964 "Pink Panther" sequel, "A Shot In The Dark," starring Peter Sellers.

Jimmy Fallon and Jamie Lee Curtis dove into all the buzz surrounding the new Elizabeth Holmes documentary, spoofing the mega-popular film for "The Tonight Show," and their performances were totally dead-on accurate and hilarious!

Jimmy and Jamie did the 1-minute spoof for Wednesday night's episode of "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy playing the role of Nathan Fielder -- co-director of the Holmes documentary "You Can See Everything" -- and Jamie playing the role of Elizabeth Holmes.

The two play Fielder and Holmes with awkward precision as they stand face-to-face, like at one weird point in the documentary.

Savannah Chrisley's fiancé apparently made quite the impression while serving time in federal prison ... 'cause TMZ has obtained records showing he was praised for his work ethic, teaching skills, and willingness to help fellow inmates.

According to Federal Bureau of Prisons records filed in court and obtained by TMZ, Jason Galanis received glowing reviews in a July 2017 work performance evaluation while serving as a volunteer tutor.

Prison officials wrote that Jason volunteered to teach several classes to fellow inmates and made a genuine effort to turn his negative experience behind bars into something positive.

Savannah Chrisley's fiancé expressed regret for his past crimes in a letter to the judge right before sentencing in his fraud case.

We've obtained Jason Galanis' letter to the judge, submitted about 2 weeks before he was sentenced to 189 months in federal prison ... and he writes that he is "profoundly sorry" to the people he hurt -- and for not displaying a strong enough moral character.

Galanis says he's had a lot of time to think over the previous few years -- and he realized he wasn't sorry for the right reasons -- not fully realizing how badly he hurt some people.

5:25 PM PT -- Sources close to La La tell TMZ ... she wasn't ever dating this guy and hasn't had contact with him for several months -- we're told she was filming a social video at the time of this sighting.

La La Anthony was all smiley and snuggly with a mystery man while out and about in NYC ... and only TMZ has them on video.

Folks who were there TMZ … this clip's from back in May at Brooklyn's Dive Bar BK ... and it looks like La La is super comfortable around this gentleman.

Savannah Chrisley's new fiancé, Jason Galanis, had some staggering financial obligations when his previous marriage ended ... with divorce documents listing more than $100 million in restitution, forfeitures, taxes and other liabilities ... TMZ has learned.

According to court docs, obtained by TMZ, Jason's 2018 divorce judgment with ex Monet Berger assigned him responsibility for $37 million in restitution, two forfeiture amounts of $37 million and $43 million, and approximately $12 million in taxes.

And that's not all ... the docs also list a personal guarantee of approximately $8 million to $9 million.

We've reviewed the divorce documents filed by Monet Berger -- Jason's wife for about a decade -- and, in it, her lawyers say she wasn't complicit in Jason's crimes ... and insist she was actually a victim herself.

Her lawyers claim she did not know about Jason's schemes ... and say she'd actually applied for and been paid money from the Victim's Defense Fund that was set up to compensate victims of his crimes.

Susan Saint James' co-star on the hit show "Kate & Allie," Jane Curtin, has opened up about the death of "my friend" at the age of 80 ... talking about how much she'll miss her.

Jane told Page Six ... “We lost a decent person today. Susan St. James was a decent person who made 'Kate and Allie' a joy. She juggled a really full life from the Ed Sullivan Theater in between working on stage and being the Mom on set."

Jane added ... "Susan was my friend, and working with her brought such laughter, community and family to the stage at the Ed Sullivan Theater. I’ll miss her."
