Karmelo Anthony Sentenced to 35 Years in Prison For Murdering Austin Metcalf

Karmelo Anthony will spend 35 years behind bars for murdering Austin Metcalf, a judge has ruled.

On Tuesday, the jury found the Texas teen guilty of murder, for stabbing Austin to death at a high school track meet last April. The death penalty was off the table because Karmelo was a minor.

The jury rejected Anthony's claim he acted under "sudden passion" in the fatal stabbing. Anthony will be required to serve at least half of the sentence before he can be considered for parole.

Jason Khan, who ran the foot fetish site FootPadNYC.com, has been indicted on sex trafficking charges for allegedly luring and raping aspiring foot models, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced Monday.

According to the indictment, Khan allegedly used his foot fetish site to get women to hotel rooms by pretending he was going to offer them foot modeling jobs.

The indictment claims that the women would go to the hotel rooms to be interviewed, and that's when Khan would rape or sexually assault them.

Francisco Gonzalez -- the Florida attorney accused of helping bankroll an alleged murder-for-hire plot targeting his daughter Gabbie's baby daddy Jack Avery -- says prosecutors are trying to keep him locked up without bail based on speculation, not evidence.

According to new court documents, obtained by TMZ, Francisco is asking the judge to reject the state's request for no bail and instead release him on a $2M bond with strict conditions. His lawyer argues prosecutors have failed to show he's a current danger to Jack, witnesses or the public.

As TMZ previously reported ... Gabbie was released from custody on a $2M bond shortly after last month's arrest.

Francisco, however, remains behind bars as prosecutors continue pushing for a no-bail order.

The jury has spoken in the Karmelo Anthony murder trial ... and they found him guilty of murder, rejecting his claim of self-defense.

A Collin County jury returned the verdict Tuesday after hours of deliberation in Anthony's trial for the fatal stabbing of fellow teenager Austin Metcalf at a Frisco, Texas track meet in April 2025. Anthony faces between 5 and 99 years in prison.

The case centered on a confrontation under a team tent that ended with Metcalf being stabbed once in the chest. Prosecutors argued Anthony turned a dispute into a deadly encounter ... while the defense maintained he acted in self-defense.

Prosecutors asked Kala if she still had love for her son.

Nick Reiner's former lawyer, Alan Jackson, is ready to take on the alleged murderer's case, but he says drama over how he and his firm would get paid led to him dropping the case several months ago.

Alan filed a declaration that was submitted with Reiner's motion seeking release of his trust funds ... in it, he describes what he says went down behind the scenes that led to his law firm withdrawing from Nick's criminal case.

As TMZ previously reported, Alan was hired in December 2025 to defend Nick in court after he was charged with the murder of his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner. Alan and his firm withdrew from the case weeks later, and a public defender was then assigned to Nick's case.

In his newly filed declaration, Alan says Nick told him he wants his firm back representing him. Alan said he is willing and ready to defend Nick if funding becomes available.

Two parents in Iowa are accused of turning their own child into a prisoner ... allegedly keeping a severely malnourished 10-year-old locked away inside their home.

According to multiple reports, Andrew and Kellie Warrington were arrested after authorities uncovered what investigators describe as years of abuse inside the family's Davenport home.

Police say the child was allegedly confined to a nearly empty bedroom with a latched door and routinely denied basic necessities, including adequate food and water. Reports say the youngster became so malnourished that doctors later determined the child could have died without medical intervention.

A baby was thrown from an SUV as it flipped during a high-speed pursuit in Arkansas ... and the horrifying moment was caught on dashcam.

The crash would've been shocking under any circumstances ... but authorities say four children -- all younger than 6 -- were inside the SUV when it rolled over during a chase that topped 100 MPH.

Take a look at the footage Arkansas State Police released from the May 24 incident, showing a Toyota Highlander speeding down a rural road before the driver loses control, crashes through a yard, strikes a light pole, and flips multiple times.

During the rollover, a 4-month-old infant is ejected from the vehicle.

A traffic stop went off the rails when cops in Louisiana say a man tried to evade them by fleeing into a swamp ... and it sounds like he ended up running straight into an alligator's jaws!!!

According to Louisiana State Police, troopers began pursuing Victor M. Rivas Sunday after receiving reports of a Toyota Supra driving recklessly. When officers stopped the car, they say Rivas showed signs of impairment and fled on foot.

Police say 40-year-old Rivas jumped from an elevated section of Interstate 310 into the swamp below.

Troopers say they later spotted him walking along Highway 61 ... and when they approached, he fled into another swampy area ... where he was attacked by a gator.

According to authorities ... Michael Gledhill, 44, was just charged with one count of murder with a special allegation that he personally used a deadly weapon, a knife.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said in a press release ... "This is not how anyone’s life should end, stabbed in the chest and left dying in the front yard of a home. Drake Von's female accuser gives a disturbing account of his alleged attack in newly released body camera footage, telling cops she couldn't breathe and briefly lost consciousness.

In the footage, obtained by TMZ, the woman tells Las Vegas cops Von was on top of her and she couldn't breathe as she tried to get him off. She says she eventually kicked him and broke free, but claims Von snatched her cellphone during the struggle.

The woman says she believes she briefly blacked out after Von allegedly restricted her breathing, telling officers she couldn't remember anything for about two seconds.

She claims Von then slammed her to the ground, refused to return her phone, and told her to get on her knees and beg if she really wanted it back.
