9:35 AM PT -- Steven Spielberg released a statement on the passing of Sam Neill.

Sam Neill -- the iconic actor of famous films such as "Jurassic Park," "The Hunt For Red October" and "The Piano" -- has died, his family said.

Neill passed away Monday in a hospital in Sydney, Australia, and his death was described as "sudden and unexpected," according to his family's statement posted to Instagram.

The Ireland born movie star had recovered from a rare and aggressive blood cancer just this year, revealing in April he was cancer-free. His cause of death was not released.

Scheana Shay proved she hasn't forgotten her restaurant roots ... 'cause TMZ has learned she jumped in to help staff at a packed Seattle bar after it was flooded with World Cup fans.

TMZ obtained video of the "Vanderpump Rules" alum Saturday at Uptown Hophouse in Seattle, where she helped serve customers after the pub was unexpectedly slammed by the soccer crowd as England faced Norway in their quarterfinal matchup.

We're told the bar quickly filled with patrons looking to watch the action, leaving employees scrambling to keep up with the rush. Rather than watch the chaos unfold, we're told Scheana volunteered to help, delivering food and lending a hand until things settled down.

Lizzo says she's gained some weight since she began her health journey ... and she's not bothered by it at all!

In an interview with The Guardian ... Lizzo says she has gained 20 pounds since last year ... unapologetically adding, "so everyone can ask me about weight gain, too, if they'd like."

The "Good As Hell" singer began changing her approach to working out in 2023 ... and has made strides to get her physical health on point.

Another kid of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is getting closer to closing the book on the family name ... Zahara has taken the next legal step to become Zahara Jolie.

Court documents, obtained by TMZ, show Zahara has completed one of California's required hurdles for a legal name change by publishing notice of her petition in the Los Angeles Daily Journal once a week for four consecutive weeks and calling for anyone opposing the change to submit a written opposition before the final hearing.

As TMZ previously reported, the 21-year-old filed her petition in June asking to legally change her name from Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt to Zahara Marley Jolie. The filing states the notice ran on June 16, June 23, June 30, and July 7 ... and next up is Zahara's September 28 hearing, where a judge can approve the request if no one objects.

Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton's romance just hit another checkpoint ... and now he's riding shotgun with her kids.

Kim dropped a fresh batch of Instagram pics Monday from the Kardashian crew's Fourth of July getaway in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho ... and tucked inside the carousel is a sweet selfie that says a whole lot without saying a word.

One snap shows Kim smiling alongside her boo while daughter Chicago squeezes into the frame ... a wholesome moment that sure looks like the seven-time Formula 1 champ is becoming part of the family. After all, you're not posing for selfies with Kim and Kanye's kids unless things are getting pretty serious.

In another photo, it looks like Lewis rode dirt bikes with Kim and three kids.

There was a lot more "get on the ground" than "fore" being yelled at the Ohio golf course where Julius Edwards -- a suspect in an attempted murder case -- tried to escape cops ... and the wild car chase is all on police video.

Check out the body cam footage ... cops pursue Edwards in a high-speed chase past tons of shocked golfers ... and it ends with a horrible collision. The attempted murder suspect then flees on foot ... with the cops hot on his tail.

As officers chase him down, one cop is head yelling, "He's a got a gun ... somebody go lethal!!!"

Pat McAfee is sharing as much as he can about the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding without getting in trouble ... saying any criticism of the ceremony is nonsense, because it was a "spectacular" evening!!

The former Indianapolis Colts punter kicked off "The Pat McAfee Show" on Monday by pulling back the curtain, or rather the neutral-colored drapes, on the ultra-secretive celebration.

While Pat insists he's keeping plenty under wraps, he drops some jaw-dropping tidbits and gushes it was the greatest event he's ever attended.

Pat says guests weren't allowed to have phones or take notes, so everything being reported has come down to memory ... but one thing he says he remembers vividly is just how over-the-top the wedding was.

Legendary director Steven Spielberg is "saddened" by Sam Neill's death ... and he has nothing but good things to say about his classic "Jurassic Park" lead.

In a statement to multiple outlets, Steven says ... "I owe a debt of gratitude to Roger Donaldson, Gilliam Armstrong, Graham Baker and Phillip Noyce for casting Sam Neill in the roles in which he was so brilliant that brought him to my attention and led to his playing Dr. Alan Grant in Jurassic Park."

The director also says, "Sam was exceptionally collaborative. It was a stretch for him to play a character who acted as though children were messy and smelly because this was the opposite of the loving father he was to his children."

Spencer Pratt's father, William, tried to extinguish a house fire at a construction site in the Pacific Palisades before firefighters arrived ... and he says it gave him PTSD.

Here's the deal ... William was driving through the Pacific Palisades on the way to his property on Friday ... when he suddenly saw a fire had broken out at a two-story, single-family home under construction ... so he rushed over to help put it out ... according to NBC Los Angeles.

The father of the reality star and former Los Angeles mayoral candidate called 911 and tried fighting the fire with a hose. Firefighters arrived six minutes after the call came in ... and it took them another 20 minutes to stop the blaze.

Josh Grisetti, a Broadway star and TV actor best known for his work on "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," has died.

Rob McClure, Josh's "Something Rotten!" co-star and close friend, said in an emotional Instagram post that the actor died by suicide on Friday ... adding, “I’m not ready to even attempt to understand. My heart is with his wife and family as they try to deal with the reality of this."

Josh's father, John, confirmed the news -- and tells TMZ ... the family is heartbroken. Josh's body is currently with the coroner ... and an autopsy is expected.

No other information was shared about the circumstances of his death ... but Rob lamented, "Some of my all-time favorite memories were by this man’s side, playing his brother onstage for years, watching him inspire students while transforming the Musical Theatre program at Cal State Fullerton …and having the honor of being the Best Man at his wedding."

Iconic tenor Andrea Bocelli is in the middle of a crazy story that involves a wedding, his private estate in Italy ... and a $500,000 burglary!

Sources tell TMZ ... a couple from the United States was the victim of a robbery at a swanky Bocelli family estate in Forte dei Marmi -- an upscale seaside town on the Tuscan Versilia coast -- where intruders helped themselves to watches, cash, and fine jewelry, among other high-end brand valuables, while everyone was at dinner.

Sources tell TMZ the couple feels they were done dirty -- on the eve of their wedding, no less -- claiming there was no forced entrance into their locked and alarm-set villa. They say a wall safe, which they were unaware was in the home, was even cracked.

7/13/26 5:09 AM PT -- The show finally went on ... Jay explaining that the delay was due to security concerns over the massive amount of people outside -- and someone trying to force their way into the show. And he apologized.

Jay-Z’s third night performing at Yankee Stadium was delayed for hours … after some fans reportedly broke through a security checkpoint.

Sources at Yankee Stadium tell TMZ the show had yet to start as of midnight … four hours past the scheduled showtime.

D4vd's murder case has progressed slowly since Celeste Rivas' body was found in his Tesla last year ... and it appears a grand jury convened on even more occasions than we knew.

Here's the deal ... a judge signed off on the limited unsealing of transcripts from grand jury testimony given on seven different occasions.

The transcripts were taken over the course of 18 days ... five days in November, five days in December and eight days in February. As you know, three different grand juries were called during this period -- one in each month mentioned above.

Wai Ching Ho -- a longtime actress best known for her role in several Marvel TV series -- has died ... according to several former costars.

Peter Shinkoda -- who appeared with Wai Ching in "Daredevil" -- shared a photo of the pair from the show ... writing in the caption that he "learned every minute from you when we were together on and off set." He added the two will see each other again one day.

"The World’s Greatest" star Judy Lei also shared her distress at Wai Ching's passing ... sharing memories from the film they worked on together -- and noting Wai Ching never became frustrated with her lack of experience, jumping in with no inhibitions.

Jay-Z's second night of his three shows at Yankee Stadium was not without crowd drama ... two fans seemingly got into it with security guards -- and were then restrained and escorted away.

The legendary rapper hit the stage at the famous Bronx ballpark on Saturday night and, at one point, Alicia Keys joined him on stage to perform their iconic song, "Empire State of Mind." That's when things got heated between the fans and security guards.

TMZ obtained exclusive video showing one of the fans getting up from the ground with security around them. Once he was on his feet, the fan slugs a security officer in the face before he's taken away by several other guards.

Amy Schumer is once again showing off her svelte body only this time she's headed to the beach!

The comedian recently posted a sexy photo to Instagram featuring herself in a bikini with her slim, yet toned figure.
