Former Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Lonnie Phelps was sentenced to probation this week ... over allegations he drunkenly crashed his SUV into a restaurant last year.
Court records, obtained by TMZ Sports, show Phelps submitted a no-contest plea to one charge of misdemeanor DUI in a Florida courtroom on Tuesday ... some seven months after officials say he was wasted when he slammed his vehicle into Red Shoe Island Bistro in Key West.
Documents show Phelps was ordered to spend the next 12 months on probation. He also had his license suspended for six months -- and he'll have to perform 50 hours of community service as well as enroll in DUI school.

The NFL has closed its latest investigation into sexual assault accusations made against Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson earlier this season, TMZ Sports has confirmed.
We're told the league found insufficient evidence to prove a personal conduct policy violation took place ... and the matter is now a thing of the past.
The 29-year-old signal-caller -- whose season ended after he tore his Achilles back in Week 7 -- was hit with a lawsuit in September ... with a woman claiming he sexually assaulted her in 2020.

Browns' Michael Hall Pleads No Contest To Misdemeanor ... To Close Domestic Violence Case
Cleveland Browns rookie Michael Hall Jr. just entered a plea in court to close out his domestic violence case ... and now, his attorney says he's got his sights set on getting back on the field soon.
Hall Jr. -- who had been facing a first-degree domestic violence charge stemming from an alleged violent altercation with a woman on Aug. 12 in Avon, Ohio -- pled no contest to a reduced count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct on Thursday morning.
In court, Hall Jr. -- a second-round pick in this year's NFL draft -- told the judge he lamented "the whole situation and wish this never happened." The 21-year-old added he's been undergoing counseling "and trying to better myself" since the incident.
Deshaun Watson NFL Launches Probe Into Browns Star ... Over New Sexual Assault Allegations
The NFL has opened up yet another investigation into Deshaun Watson ... following more allegations that the Browns star was sexually inappropriate with a woman.
The league said in a statement to Cleveland.com on Tuesday that after "Jane Doe" filed a lawsuit on Monday morning alleging Watson sexually assaulted her back in 2020 ... it is now in the process of gathering more information.
The league said as of this moment, Watson will able to play and avoid the Commissioner’s Exempt list ... "as there's been no formal charges and the league's review has just begun." Although, clearly, things could change based on any new information NFL officials receive.

Deshaun Watson has been hit with a new lawsuit ... another woman in Texas has come forward with claims the Cleveland Browns star sexually assaulted her four years ago.
"Jane Doe" filed the suit in Harris County on Monday morning ... alleging that during a 2020 date with the now 28-year-old quarterback -- he sexually assaulted her.
In the suit, Doe -- described as a single mother and a young professional -- says she met Watson at a bar in Houston while he was a member of the Texans ... and after exchanging text messages for several months, she says he invited her out. Not wanting a public date, Doe claims she instead asked him to come to her apartment for dinner.
Report: Browns' Michael Hall Jr. Alleged Dom. Violence Victim Recants Story
The woman who accused Cleveland Browns rookie Michael Hall Jr. of domestic violence has reportedly recanted significant parts of her story.
According to multiple outlets, including WKYC and Fox 8, the woman -- who's allegedly engaged to Hall Jr. -- took back many of the claims she made against the football player earlier this month.
As we previously reported, the woman had claimed Hall Jr. seriously roughed her up during a dispute at their Avon, Ohio home on Aug. 12.
