Jane Doe's attorney worked with a newspaper before he ever filed her explosive lawsuit accusing the Cornell 7 of gang rape ... at least according to Diego Sarabia's lawyers.
In new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Sarabia's defense attorneys claim Doe's lawyer, Thomas Giuffra, never denied coordinating with The Cornell Daily Sun before the lawsuit was filed in court.
James Knox and Alishah Bhimani, who are representing Sarabia, also take issue with Giuffra's claim that defense attorneys representing defendants in Doe's civil suit have been leaking documents to the media that are favorable to their clients.
Mike Rogers -- a former congressman who is running for Senate -- says he trusts that feds had enough evidence to raid Congresswoman Ilhan Omar's residence ... and he rejects the notion President Donald Trump is trying to persecute political enemies.
Charlie and Jacob -- our TMZDC crew -- caught up with Rogers Thursday in Michigan, and given Mike's experience as a former FBI agent, they asked him about the raid conducted at Rep. Omar's home this week.
Mike told us he's confident the FBI must've had good reason to bust down Ilhan's door. A little housekeeping on that remark -- it appears the FBI didn't conduct the raid, and it was instead done by Homeland Security Investigations ... but, it's still the feds.
Six Flags Magic Mountain is being sued by someone who claims he was injured on the park's CraZanity attraction ... TMZ has learned.
According to a new lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Simon Kasawa says the ride operator at the California amusement park didn't give him a heads-up before activating the attraction’s mechanical harness.
Kasawa says he wasn't fully sitting down when the harness came down on him … causing "significant injuries."
Things got a little awkward when Hilary Swank went to sign autographs for fans in NYC ... and it's all on video.
We got the actress Thursday in the Big Apple, but our photog could barely get a question in about her million-dollar baby ... because Hilary was a bit puzzled by an encounter with a fan.
Hilary went to start signing, but was held up when the fan refused to provide a name so Hilary could personalize the autograph.
Homecoming at Tuskegee University is gonna be extra lit this year ... 'cause T.I.'s been tapped as not only Grand Marshal for the upcoming event, but also the halftime performer!
TMZ Sports has learned the Atlanta rap legend will lead the Homecoming Parade and then hit the field with the Marching Crimson Pipers during the November 7 football game against Miles College.
A former Six Flags Over Georgia operator says it's possible to push a restraint on a ride like Goliath open ... though it would take a tremendous amount of force.
Brycen Whatley -- a former employee at the theme park near Atlanta and a roller coaster enthusiast -- joined us on "TMZ Live" Thursday to discuss how Hassan Jihad Ibn Kariem might have been ejected from Goliath before falling to his death.
Brycen first ran through the safety measures on Goliath ... explaining the ride can't even move unless pin-and-gear arm restraints are pulled down three notches -- locking a person into place.
Abdul El-Sayed took a break from pitching voters on equality and human rights ... and got to work pitching TMZ DC on Gatorade Zero.
Jacoband Charliehave boots on the ground in Michigan, and they caught up with the Michigan senatorial candidate at a Detroit gas station as he stopped to refuel. El-Sayed beelined straight for the fridge, where he showed us what's powering his campaign.
El-Sayed pulled out an ice-cold bottle of Gatorade Zero, then stumped for the drink ... schooling our guys on electrolytes and hydration ... and explaining why Glacier Cherry is his flavor of choice.
Usher had a magical, star-studded birthday celebration ... and Hollywood showed up big time for the singer's big day ... the celebs enjoyed a magic show, and we have it on video.
Usher posted up at Speakeasy Magick in NYC, where he and his famous friends were wowed by magicians.
Anna Faris' friends have her back after Chuck Lorre threw some serious shade her way ... and they're calling him out for saying he was right to doubt her casting in "Mom."
People close to Anna tell TMZ … Chuck's comments were "s****y," considering Anna gave 7 years of her life to his show.
They feel it's absurd that Chuck claims his reservations were "proven right" after Anna spent seven years making people laugh, building an audience and helping create a successful series.
Abdul El-Sayed says Donald Trump doesn't realize it, but he's actually praising the Michigan senatorial candidate by mocking his name, but the first order of business Tuesday night was chowin' down on some Red Hot Cheese Flavored popcorn!!!
Our TMZ DC guys, Jacob and Charlie, are now in Michigan and caught up with El-Sayed at a Detroit gas station. El-Sayed cracked open a bag of the Red Hots, which Jacob clearly couldn't handle, so the 3 then shared a bottle of Gatorade to bring down the heat.
Then they got serious. Jacob mentioned he spoke to a guy in Kalamazoo who felt if El-Sayed got elected, he wouldn't be as progressive as he sounds now because of his religion. El-Sayed explains why he's progressive BECAUSE of his religion.
RJ Mitte's final film is finished ... but he sadly didn't get to see the final cut before he died, TMZ has learned.
Producer Josh Webber tells TMZ … RJ watched an earlier rough cut of his film, "Cassi," but it's heartbreaking that RJ never got the chance to see the finished product.

The case was filed 10 days after Mika called police on July 27 and claimed Bryce got physical with her at his home during their split.
Jane Doe's attorney is a massive hypocrite for claiming lawyers for the Cornell 7 are leaking documents to the media to make their clients look good ... at least according to Gillio Lopes' lawyer.
Andrew Miltenberg fired back at Doe's lawyer, Thomas Giuffra, in a scathing statement to TMZ ... "The hypocrisy in Mr. Giuffra's sudden outrage over defense counsel speaking to the media is astonishing. He spent weeks promoting his client's allegations on television, in newspapers and across the internet, helping turn this case into a national media spectacle before the seven publicly identified defendants had a meaningful opportunity even to review the allegations, much less respond."
Miltenberg's return volley comes after Giuffra filed legal docs claiming his media appearances were kosher and the defense attorneys were leaking like a sieve. Giuffra name-dropped TMZ and highlighted our relationship with Mark Geragos.
8:26 AM PT --Winston Lee's lawyer, Teny Geragos, tells TMZ ... "To the extent Mr. Giuffra is implying I’m leaking anything, that is false. But, the facts will come out and they will show my client did not assault or harm this person.”
Jane Doe's lawyer claims lawyers for the defendants in her lawsuit are the ones leaking documents to the press ... and he's name-checking us in the new filing.
Thomas Giuffra filed the legal letter Wednesday asking a judge not to enter a broad order restricting both sides from speaking about the case in the media ... insisting that, while the Cornell 7 have been on a coordinated media blitz, he's just been reacting to the fervor around the case.
In the documents, Giuffra claims it's the lawyers for the so-called Cornell 7 leaking documents to the press ... and, at one point, he highlights TMZ's relationship with Mark Geragos -- implying he's been carrying the water for the defense's position and getting information out through TMZ.

The move comes after several years of trouble for the couple ... and just months after James was arrested for public intoxication at LAX in July after reportedly getting into it with Kim and a flight attendant.
