Hayden Panettiere's mom says someone toxic drove a wedge between them ... and she appears to be pointing the finger at Hayden's boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, for her daughter's death.

Lesley Vogel addressed her estrangement from Hayden in a statement shared with "Entertainment Tonight," saying ... "Although my daughter and I were estranged, it was not for lack of care or love."

She continued ... "It was due to the involvement of a toxic individual who I believe led to her death."

Gayle King is unhappy with a statement from Hayden Panettiere's mother in the aftermath of her daughter's tragic death ... saying it's a huge missed opportunity.

The longtime television host read Lesley Vogel's statement live on "CBS Mornings" ... Lesley's comments focused on how child stardom led her estranged daughter down a dark path -- and she took some veiled shots at Hayden's boyfriend, Brian Hickerson.

After reading the statement live on-air, Gayle said ... "You know, guys, you read this and all I can think is, 'Thanks, mom, for nothing.'"

Will Smith's former friend, Bilaal Salaam, is gearing up to wage legal war on two fronts ... he says he plans to sue Will, months after he dragged Will's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, into court ... TMZ has learned.

Bilaal filed court docs, obtained by TMZ, revealing his plan to add Will as a co-defendant in his ongoing legal battle with Jada. In the suit, Bilaal claims Jada and her associates launched a campaign of harassment against him after he refused to help Will clean up the mess after the Oscar slap.

He claimed Jada also became enraged when she found out he was writing a memoir, in which he planned to talk about Will and Jada's family.

Eric Trump says his father's right-hand woman Natalie Harp got the good genes in her family ... taking a savage swipe at her estranged brother after his CNN appearance.

Eric tore into Preston Harp Wednesday morning over his appearance on CNN's "OutFront" with Erin Burnett Tuesday night ... calling the whole thing "absolute trash."

But he wasn't done. Eric praised Natalie as an "incredible young woman," a cancer survivor and "arguably one of the hardest-working people in the White House" ... saying she's deeply committed to his father, her job and the country.

Then came the dagger ... "From the looks of it, she got all the family genetics."

Pinky Cole's "Real Housewives of Atlanta" blowup apparently got a little too close to "The Wire" for Bravo's taste ... because the network turned her gun talk into a vague reference to a "device."

Here's the deal ... during the Season 17 reunion show part two, which aired Sunday night, Pinky and Phaedra Parks got heated when Pinky ripped Phaedra for ratting her out to "higher-ups" over Pinky having, in her words, a "significant device" to protect herself.

A source with direct knowledge tells us the device was a gun, and Phaedra wasn't down with the new 'RHOA' member bringing it up. To clarify, we're told Pinky was never in possession of a gun on set at any point and time.

Sid Wilson appears to be making his Slipknot exit Instagram-official ... changing a key line in his bio following the band's split with its longtime DJ.

Wilson's Instagram bio previously identified him as being with the Slipknot "gang since 1997." Now, the wording has been changed to "1997-2026" -- a pretty telling update following his departure from the band.

The change comes just weeks after TMZ exclusively reported that Sid is permanently booted from Slipknot.

Brandy came to support her brother Ray J ahead of his boxing match ... but Adrien Broner nearly turned her quick hello into the opening bout.

The clip shows Brandy walking into the kitchen and acknowledging Broner before moving along to greet everyone else ... but the boxer apparently wanted a warmer welcome, telling the room, "She just walked past me, but it’s alright."

Brandy immediately doubles back and corrects him ... saying, "I didn’t walk past you. I spoke to you" ... but Broner keeps the awkward moment alive while repeatedly insisting everything is fine.

Caitlyn Jenner is weighing in on the increasingly heated debate over transgender athletes in the WNBA ... and she's throwing her support behind two former NBA players who say they're planning to enter the league's draft.

Jenner, a former Olympic gold medalist who transitioned in 2015, publicly backed Enes Kanter Freedom and Royce White as they challenge the WNBA over its policies surrounding transgender athletes.

"XX are in, XY are out. It's that simple," Jenner told Fox News, arguing that women's sports need to be protected. She also suggested the former NBA players' moves are exposing what she views as contradictions and the "hypocrisy" in the league's approach to the issue.

The Oscar-winning actress is suing a leasing company, 421 NRD LLC, claiming its $5+ million rental turned into a nightmare with a whole host of problems.

Da’Vine said she leased a high-end 5-bedroom, 6-bathroom, 4,452-square-foot home in Los Angeles for $17,000 per month in September 2024.

08/14/2026 6:29 PM PST -- Slipknot released the deleted statement on their music festival Knotfest's Instagram.

Sid Wilson's officially out of Slipknot ... or at least he was for a hot minute -- before the band deleted their social media post announcing the news.

Here's the deal ... the group's official Instagram account put up a simple black and white post which reads, "Effective immediately, Slipknot will no longer be associated with Sid Wilson. We wish him the best in his future endeavors."

Then, for reasons unknown, the band took the post down a short time later ... so it's unclear where they stand with Sid.

Cardi B is calling BS on BIA, claiming her diss track was all true ... and warning her rap rival she's got plenty of dirt tucked away.

Cardi came out swinging in a Spaces chat on X ... repeatedly demanding, "What's true?" before launching into a laundry list of claims about BIA.

She claims BIA desperately wanted to be friends before their beef and repeatedly sent word through mutual friends that she had no problem with Cardi ... and Cardi says she's got recordings to prove it.
