TMZ has just received a letter from a lawyer repping Wendy Williams' guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, and the attorney claims some of the media coverage of the guardianship and their client is "untrue, inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading."

The attorney notes Morrissey did not create the guardianship ... the judge did. He goes on to say a judge declared Wendy legally incapacitated last August, after she was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia the year before.

The lawyer says Wendy has not been kept from her family, saying she can call them and see them whenever she wants. Wendy says she has not been allowed visitors, with just a few exceptions, since entering the assisted living facility in New York.

The 49-year-old said in a statement Tuesday afternoon he suffered the ailment as he was training for the upcoming PGA Tour season at his Florida home. He stated it was his left leg that gave out on him -- not the right one that was nearly amputated following his infamous 2021 rollover car crash.

Woods added he underwent "minimally-invasive" surgery to fix this issue Tuesday morning ... which doctors deemed successful.

Former NBA player and billionaire businessman Junior Bridgeman has passed away at 71 years old after suffering a medical emergency at a public event on Tuesday.

The Louisville great was participating in an interview at a benefit luncheon for the Lincoln Heritage Council, Scouting America at the Galt House Hotel when it occurred, according to WLKY.

During the Q&A, Bridgeman told reporter Kent Taylor he thought he was having a heart attack.

Multiple sources tell TMZ ... Peterson got into the heated confrontation Sunday in the yard near his housing unit at Mule Creek State Prison, about 40 miles southeast of Sacramento.

Our sources say Peterson hit the ball directly at the other inmate, triggering the assault. We're told Peterson got "beat up" by the other prisoner, but his injuries were not serious enough to land him in the hospital.

Jamaican-bred reggae legend Cocoa Tea died Tuesday at the age of 65, cementing a legacy that spans four decades.

According to the "Young Lover" singer's wife Malvia Scott, Cocoa died earlier today in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and she recounted his turbulent last days to the Jamaica Gleaner.

"I got a call early this morning to say that he had been transferred from the facility to the hospital ... which is like five minutes away ... because he was vomiting. He was initially diagnosed with lymphoma in 2019, but for the last six months he was also struggling with pneumonia," Malvia revealed.

TMZ Sports spoke with Kaelen Tucker's father, Keith, who said cops are looking into the situation and confirmed the family filed a protective order against his daughter's opponent.

A Virginia high school sprinter is looking for an apology after she was whacked in the head with a baton by a fellow competitor during a recent meet, leaving her with a concussion and "possible skull fracture."

It all unfolded last week at Liberty University in Virginia during the 4x200 relay race at the VHSL Class 3 State Indoor Championship.

As Brookville High School junior Kaelen Tucker rounded the corner with senior Alaila Everett of I.C. Norcom High School ... the two seemingly bumped arms before Everett swung her baton at the back of Tucker's head.

Luxembourg's Prince Frederik Dead at 22

Prince Frederik, who was the youngest son of the Prince and Princess of Nassau, has died following a battle with an illness.

His father, Prince Robert of Luxembourg announced his son died at the beginning of March from the rare genetic condition POLG Mitochondrial disease which “robs the body’s cells of energy, in turn causing progressive multiple organ dysfunction and failure,” according to the POLG Foundation. He was diagnosed with the condition when he was 14 years old.

His father said in the statement … “Last Friday, February 28th, on “Rare Disease Day”, our beloved son called us in to his room to speak to him for one last time. Frederik found the strength and the courage to say goodbye to each of us in turn … After gifting each of us with our farewells – some kind, some wise, some instructive – in true Frederik fashion, he left us collectively with a final long-standing family joke.”

6:42 AM PT -- A rep for Gladys Knight tells TMZ … she came down with the flu last night before the show and was treated in Florida. She was released overnight and is currently headed to her home in North Carolina to rest.

Gladys Knight has caught the bug and was forced to cancel her show in Florida over the weekend.

Florida Theatre President Numa Saisselin delivered the bad news at the last minute ahead of GK’s Saturday night show in Jacksonville. He says Gladys and one of her staff members became sick backstage at the venue and had to be attended to by Jacksonville Fire and Rescue. He says Knight “was smiling and in good spirts when she left the building.”

Theatre officials have not yet determined if the show will be rescheduled or not but said they should know by early next week. “If you are unable to attend a new date, as long as you purchased your tickets from the Florida Theatre or FloridaTheatre.com, we would refund your purchase," they said.

We’ve reached out to GK’s reps to get an update on how she’s doing … so far, no word back.
