Erik Menendez doesn't sound like he's getting the prison furlough he was hoping for ... because he's back behind bars after painful kidney stones sent him to the hospital.

Erik's daughter, Talia, shared an update on social media ... saying, "My dad is out of the hospital and back at the prison, preparing for our upcoming parole hearing."

We broke the story ... Erik left his state prison in San Diego last month and went to a hospital to undergo several surgeries to remove kidney stones.

Jessie J was hospitalized over the weekend just six weeks after undergoing breast cancer surgery.

The singer, who had a mastectomy and breast reconstruction following an early-stage cancer diagnosis in April, says she returned to the hospital unexpectedly after experiencing symptoms that initially pointed to a possible blood clot in her lung.

"Six weeks post surgery and I was back in the same ward I was after my surgery," she wrote Sunday alongside a photo of a tube in her arm. "Not expected or planned."

Stevie Nicks fans with 'Dreams' of seeing her soon are just going to have to wait ... 'cause a broken shoulder has caused her to push her scheduled tour dates.

The singer-songwriter announced the news on Instagram Friday ... letting her fans know that she fractured her shoulder and needs to push her August and September dates to the late fall and early winter.

The tour will kick back off with a few shows that weren't postponed, starting on October 1 ... and, all previously sold tickets will be honored at the new dates, which will begin October 28.

Brett Favre says he was floored when Deion Sanders revealed this week he battled bladder cancer ... but the legendary quarterback tells TMZ Sports he's grateful Coach Prime's "prognosis looks good."

At a press conference on Monday, Sanders announced he had his bladder removed after doctors found a malignant tumor on it. Fortunately, his medical team said they caught everything in time, and the Colorado head coach is now cancer-free.

Dr. Bennet Omalu, the physician credited with discovering CTE, is breaking down claims made by the mass shooter in NYC ... after the killer claimed he had the neurodegenerative disease after playing high school football.

"You can develop CTE from playing football at all levels. The greater the number of years you play, the greater the cumulative risk exposure. CTE has been diagnosed in people who played football at all levels. However, playing high-school football does not automatically equate to CTE," Dr. Omalu told TMZ Sports on Tuesday.

For those unfamiliar with the name, Omalu was at the forefront of bringing CTE to the public's awareness, a movement that even made its way to Hollywood. Will Smith played the forensic pathologist in the film "Concussion."

The assault and battery charge against "Empire" star Bryshere Gray has been dismissed ... TMZ has learned.

The Chesapeake General District Court confirms Dustin "Chosen" Wilkins -- Bryshere's friend -- asked the court to dismiss the misdemeanor charge filed against the actor last month in Chesapeake, Virginia ... and the judge went ahead and did so Wednesday morning.

A rep for Bryshere says Chosen was motivated to drop the charge after the actor's sister, Brianna, intervened.

We reported it first -- Bryshere was put behind bars after his friend and collaborator filed a criminal complaint against Bryshere, claiming the actor physically attacked him at a Homewood Suites hotel. A warrant was issued for his arrest ... and Bryshere turned himself in on June 15.
