It's been "The Longest Time" since fans saw Billy Joel play live ... and that all changed Friday night when he surprised a group at a town celebration with a 2-song set!

Check it out -- the music icon appeared right at home as he hopped on stage -- with the help of a cane -- at a village amphitheater in Wellington, Florida, as the village was celebrating its 30th anniversary. And better yet, his wife Alexis Roderick and 2 of his daughters were right there with him ... with his 2 youngsters putting on an adorable dance show with a friend as he filled the air with music.

We're told by a lucky attendee there was an array of bands playing Friday night, with a coverband called The Turnstiles taking the final slot. They teased there may be a special guest throughout their show ... and eventually, Billy, his wife and their 2 girls made their way on stage. We're told Billy asked for permission to steal the mic -- and the audience went crazy when he played "Big Shot" and "We Didn’t Start the Fire."

Barry Manilow is sharing a positive update about 2 weeks after he revealed his lung cancer diagnosis.

The "Copacabana" hitmaker took to Instagram Friday to share a selfie of what appears to be him lying in a hospital bed and wearing a provided gown. He looks happy in the photo ... flashing a positive grin at the camera. The snap appears to be texted from a phone, as there's a grey text bubble that reads "Better Today!" below it.

As we reported, Barry revealed in December "a cancerous spot" was found on his left lung during an MRI ordered by his doctor. At the time, he had been battling bronchitis for more than 2 months.

The singer shared a selfie from a hospital bed Wednesday night, revealing she's undergoing surgery to get two new discs in her neck as the new year begins.

Pink joked the hospital stay isn't cosmetic, writing ... "It may not be a fancy facelift," she wrote, "but I am getting two new shiny discs in my neck." She added the procedure comes with a new scar and a renewed appreciation for her body. "Rock 'n' roll is a contact sport," she joked.

Boxing superstar Anthony Joshua has been released from a Nigerian hospital after being involved in a car wreck that killed two of his trainers.

Anthony, a former heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist, was discharged late Wednesday afternoon and will continue his recovery from home ... according to authorities in Nigeria.

As we reported ... Anthony was under observation at a hospital in Lago after Monday's fatal car crash.

At least 41 young men in South Africa are dead as a result of getting their foreskins removed ... and the fatal circumcisions were performed as part of traditional initiation ceremonies.

The stunning number of deaths occurred in November and December, according to South African authorities ... who added that circumcision is one component of traditional initiation in their country.

Authorities say the initiation is a rite of passage into manhood for young men from different ethnic groups in Africa ... including the Xhosa, Ndebele, Sotho, and Venda.

Here's how the process works ... .young men are placed into initiation schools to be taught the cultural values and responsibilities of becoming an adult -- and circumcision is part of the curriculum.

Kate Beckinsale has had it with trolls who have commented on her recent weight loss ... Kate says her mother's death is severely affecting her appetite -- and anyone who kicked her while she's down should be ashamed of themselves.

"Love Island USA" alum Yulissa Escobar says she was savagely struck by another woman in Miami early Monday ... causing her to suffer a concussion.

Escobar tells TMZ ... she and a pal went to LIV nightclub in Miami Beach to see a Sunday night performance before popping over to Taco Bell for some grub in the wee hours, which is when she says all the trouble started. According to a police report taken by the Miami Beach Police Department, the reality star was waiting for her order when a male approached and started making "inappropriate remarks toward her," which she told cops she ignored.

According to the report, a female accompanying the male apparently became agitated and struck her on her right cheek. Police said the couple then left the scene in a white Mercedes.

After a promising start to getting the rehab he desperately needs, former 'Ned's Declassified' star Tylor Chase is back on the streets, TMZ has learned.

"Mighty Ducks" star Shaun Weiss tells TMZ ... Tylor was evaluated by a mental health crisis team after Jacob Harris -- the owner of Shipwreck Barbershop in Riverside, California, who has been a major advocate for Tylor -- called them. The crisis team placed Tylor in a 72-hour involuntary psychiatric hold, but they inexplicably released him, according to Shaun.

Shaun says, "They were supposed to hold him and then transport him to a detox facility that we had arranged. Instead, they let him out without contacting any of us."

According to Shaun, when Jacob found Tylor back on the street in Riverside late at night last week, the crisis team was called again. This time, they once again assessed Tylor to be a danger to himself -- Shaun tells us he was told Tylor was "smoking meth during the evaluation with no shoes or jacket in the freezing cold."

But Shaun says they still left him out on the street. Shaun also tells us ... despite some fans' well-meaning gestures to help Tylor out by giving him money on the street, that's been working against his recovery.

A police officer in Tennessee literally pulled a distraught woman back from the brink the day after Christmas -- saving her life as she prepared to leap off a bridge ... and it was all caught on video.

Watch the clip ... the woman can be seen standing on the ledge of the Holston River Bridge in Knoxville, Tennessee. As Tennessee Highway Patrol and emergency responders stand by, the woman peers out onto the water, gathering herself to jump.

But in one heart-pounding moment, one of the officers lunges forward, grabs the woman by the waist and pulls her back to safety.

Mike Holston -- a popular influencer better known as "The Real Tarzann" -- was badly injured in a skydiving accident ... and he shared the news in a series of Instagram posts.

The social media star -- known for his ripped physique and his posts involving wild animals like crocodiles and big cats -- shared a photo to his Instagram story in which he was laid out on a hospital gurney.

While Holston wore a neck brace, he did give the camera a thumbs up ... clearly trying to put on a brave face.

Chevy Chase was put into a coma by doctors for more than a week after his heart failed in 2021, friends and family of the star revealed in a new documentary.

The actor and his loved ones gave extensive interviews for CNN's new documentary, "I’m Chevy Chase and You’re Not" according to Variety.

Chevy's wife, Jayni Chase, says in the new doc that she took her husband to the emergency room because they didn't know what was wrong with him ... which was when his heart just stopped.

'Ned's Declassified' alum Tylor Chase has begun the process of getting into a rehab facility after his former co-stars begged him to get mental health help and off the streets.

Jacob Harris -- the owner of Shipwreck Barbershop in Riverside, California, who has been a major advocate for Tylor -- tells TMZ ... he visited Tylor for 3 hours on Christmas day, a visit he calls a "tipping point." He adds ... "I had to do something. I finally found a crisis center that would come out and do an on-site evaluation."

Jacob explains the former child star was evaluated by the crisis center, and workers decided he needed to be taken in to receive "medical attention" at a Riverside-area hospital. We're told Tylor is now on a 72-hour hold and is being treated before being taken into a rehab facility. Jacob also spoke to Daily Mail, who first reported the news of his hospitalization.

"Ned's Declassified" alum Daniel Curtis Lee thought he was doing the best thing for his homeless fellow former child star Tylor Chase by getting him a motel room to get him off the streets ... but it sounds like Tylor tore the place up.

Daniel hopped on social media on Christmas Day and gave a heartbreaking update on Tylor ... he says motel management called him within hours of Tylor checking in to inform him the door to the room was wide open, the fridge was flipped over, and the microwave was in the tub.

As we reported, Daniel drove about 50 miles from Los Angeles to Riverside to get Tylor a motel ... ahead of a heavy rain storm moving through the area.

But Daniel, who starred on the Nickelodeon series with Tylor, says Tylor's family warned him that their experiences with putting Tylor in hotels were bad ones ... and he admits he was wrong to think this would be any different.
