Closing arguments in Lindsay Clancy's triple-murder trial just wrapped up.

The final pitches -- from prosecutors and the defense -- came after more than 20 days of testimony in the Massachusetts mother’s closely watched trial.

Lindsay is accused of strangling her three children -- 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan -- and then attempting suicide inside their home in January 2023.

She has pleaded not guilty to three counts of first-degree murder ... with her defense arguing she was suffering from postpartum psychosis, and, therefore, not criminally responsible for the killings.

In a heated moment from Lindsay's murder trial Tuesday, defense attorney Kevin Reddington hammers Dr. Kirk Heilbrun over his testimony that Lindsay should've asked for advice from friends and family -- and looked up medications herself when she was feeling her postpartum symptoms before the kids were strangled to death.

Reddington was blown away by the testimony ... and tried to use the statement to show how his client was not properly cared for by other doctors prior to the horrific events.

Here's the deal ... Brittany Romano stole the show Monday, when a camera panning the courtroom caught her in the front row of the gallery ... she mugged for the camera, with a smile meant for a horror flick ... and she added a wink for good measure.

Lindsay Clancy will not be getting a mistrial ... after the judge shot down her defense team's request Monday following controversial testimony about religion.

The drama unfolded during testimony from forensic psychologist Dr. Kirk Heilbrun, who brought up Clancy's belief that she and her children would be together in heaven ... and referenced Catholic teachings on suicide being a "mortal sin."

Clancy's attorney immediately objected and asked for a mistrial, calling the testimony "over the top ... talking about religion, talking about heaven, talking about killing people and the impact it would have on Lindsay as well as her children."

But Judge William Sullivan said no dice.

A Florida woman fatally shot her mother and two of her children before taking her own life after she got into a heated argument with her husband over porn found on his phone ... according to police.

Plant City Police Chief Richard Mills held a press conference Thursday after investigators concluded their investigation into the May 3 murder-suicide.

Mills said Hailey Dempsey fatally shot her mom, Valerie DeBoe, at their residence in the Tampa Bay area and then ran away with her three young daughters. Dempsey then allegedly shot and killed her 4-month-old and 4-year-old and also tried to shoot the 2-year-old but missed.

Lindsay Clancy exchanged loving texts with her then-husband just hours before she allegedly murdered their 3 children ... with Patrick Clancy even calling her a good mom ... at least according to text messages shown in court.

Lindsay's defense highlighted the messages Thursday while questioning Massachusetts State Police cell forensics expert Timothy Chiappini during her murder trial.

Chiappini testified Patrick started texting Lindsay around 8:42 AM the morning of the alleged murders ... asking how things were going. After she sent Patrick a photo of Dawson and Cora with a snowman that morning, Patrick called her a "good mama" ... prompting Lindsay to respond with a smiling face and heart emojis.

Here are the crime scene photographs shown in court during Lindsay Clancy's murder trial ... and they're disturbing.

The pics were taken inside and outside Lindsay's Massachusetts home -- where she allegedly murdered her three kids -- and they show a bloody knife, the exercise bands prosecutors allege were used to kill the kids, various medications Clancy was prescribed, and the second-story bedroom window where she allegedly attempted to take her own life.

A Massachusetts State Police crime scene supervisor testified investigators documented blood evidence in several locations inside the home ... including the bedroom, a nightstand where the knife was photographed, a mirror and the windowsill. He said investigators also examined evidence outside the home, including stains near the window.

Listen to the clip -- a distraught friend of Melanie Hyer called police June 2 after she and Melanie's sister hadn't heard from her for at least a day. She says right from the get-go that Ryan has made it clear in the past he's suicidal ... which is why the friend is so worried about Melanie's well-being.

The woman even says she sent a neighbor over to the house to check in on them ... but received no answer and saw no movement despite both Melanie and Ryan's cars being in the driveway. She also notes the oven is open and a light is on, which she feels is strange.

Influencer Sara Gilson and her husband Jeremiah Duffey died in a murder-suicide -- and now Gilson's ex is trying to prevent Duffey's "beneficiaries" from profiting off the brutal slaying, according to new court docs.

In a July 29 filing, Gilson’s former husband Lyle Landers states that Gilson had no will at the time that Duffey allegedly shot her, and then took his own life in Oklahoma. Gilson was killed by Duffey on July 23 -- less than two weeks after she accused Duffey of being a pedophile in a video posted to TikTok.

The docs say Landers made every effort to find a probate will for Gilson but came up empty at every turn.

The Michigan murder-suicide not only saw the shooting deaths of two parents and six children, but also the gruesome deaths of a bunch of pets who were found inside the family's "house of horror" ... TMZ has learned.

Ottawa County Sheriff's Office Captain Jake Sparks tells TMZ ... after police and firefighters responded to the Karolkiewicz house on July 24, they found at least 3 dead dogs and one dead cat inside the home. The pets all died from smoke or fire, and there may have been more pets who perished.

Sparks also said the bodies of Kristopher Karolkiewicz, 47, and his wife, Amanda “Mandy” Karolkiewicz, 39, were discovered in their bedroom. The couple's 4 sons and twin daughters -- ranging in age from 5 to 11 -- were found in their bedrooms as well.

The ex-wife of Jeremiah "Shawn" Duffey, who is accused of fatally shooting Sara Gilson before taking his own life, says there will be no funeral for him ... telling TMZ his own children decided he didn't deserve one.

Stephanie Ramsay tells TMZ ... under Oklahoma law, Shawn's children were considered his next of kin and were responsible for making decisions after his death ... revealing to us they ultimately chose not to hold a funeral due to his actions, including his child sexual abuse allegations.

Instead, Stephanie tells us Shawn will be cremated, and his ashes will be placed in a family plot at a funeral home.

TMZ uncovered many of what appear to be Amanda "Mandy" Karolkiewicz's Reddit posts from 2 years before her murder ... and she was active on threads relating to affairs and healing marriages post-cheating. In one of the posts, Mandy spoke about how learning of her husband's affair would have life-long affects on her.

The post reads ... "My husband had an EA 4.5 years ago (I still suspect it was more physical than he’s ever admitted to), and I still have major triggers from time to time. Day to day we’re great, but when I get triggered, it’s shattering."

Jeremiah 'Shawn' Duffey Federal Probe Into Minor's Claims Closed ... After Apparent Murder-Suicide

Federal prosecutors have closed their investigation into Jeremiah "Shawn" Duffey following his death in an apparent murder-suicide involving his wife, social media influencer Sara Gilson.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Oklahoma tells TMZ ... the office had been investigating allegations Duffey inappropriately touched a juvenile member of the traveling basketball team he coached, with assistance from the FBI.

The spokesperson says the allegations were unrelated to domestic violence and the probe is now closed because Duffey is deceased.

However, Owasso Police's investigation into the deaths remains ongoing.
