A San Diego plane crash last month shook the music world when it was discovered a famed producer and beloved metalcore drummer were killed ... and now we have a better idea of what caused the tragedy.

TMZ broke the news that Daniel Williams -- former drummer for the metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada -- was among the six people killed in the May 22 crash.

According to an FAA preliminary report viewed by TMZ ... authorities determined the pilot --believed to be well-known music producer Dave Shapiro -- was flying the Cessna S550 too low due to poor weather conditions on his descent to Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport. The aircraft clipped power transmission lines about 90 feet high, 2 miles out from the runway -- and plummeted into a neighborhood.

Rapper Skilla Baby is giving thanks and praise after he was shot multiple times in Detroit last month ... and after some humble words, he gets defiant against unnamed haters in some new rhymes.

Wednesday night, the "Leave It in the Streets" rapper posted a video on Instagram thanking his fans, supporters, and God for his recovery ... with his right hand in view, still bandaged up. Sitting inside a vehicle, he says he never would question God's reason why he was shot -- and then he breaks out with some new bars.

"I don't fear n****s, I fear God / That n**** shot my truck up 20 times, I never cried" ... "They pushed up on a millionaire, they havin' too much pride." Check out the full video to catch the rest.

Miley Cyrus is spilling some "Hannah Montana" tea -- and one core memory with dear ol' dad Billy Ray still has her laughing ... and maybe cringing just a little.

Chatting with mom Tish and sis Brandi on their 'Sorry We’re Cyrus' podcast, Miley recalled one unforgettable moment -- everyone on the show thought she was smoking pot, when it was actually Billy Ray! She says it’s hilarious now ... though at the time? Probably not so much.

Tish definitely remembered the chaos ... saying folks from the show kept calling her, telling her Billy Ray was lighting it up. But Mama Cyrus refused to believe it, insisting he'd never do that.

Latin American pop singer Vanessa Hernández is getting death threats for singing the National Anthem in Spanish at a baseball game ... but, she's still proud she did it, and she says big-time celebs have her back.

We spoke with Vanessa -- better known by her stage name Nezza -- Wednesday ... and, she tells us George Lopez, Becky G and many more stars have reached out and offered her support during this particularly trying time.

ICYMI ... Nezza sang the song at Dodger Stadium in L.A. Saturday -- later claiming a Dodgers team official told her she was not to sing it in Spanish ... and posting a behind-the-scenes TikTok as proof. She sang it in Spanish anyway ... and, she says it feels good to be on the right side of history.

Cuba Gooding Jr. says he's turning to the Lord during this trying time for Diddy ... revealing he's praying for the fallen mogul as his federal trial creeps on.

We caught up with the actor at LAX Wednesday ... and, we asked him if he's been keeping up on the developments in Diddy's sex trafficking trial -- which he tells us are darn near impossible to avoid these days.

Cuba says he's keeping Diddy and his alleged victims -- pointing to Cassie Ventura and her family specifically -- in his prayers.

Terry Luttrell from the iconic rock band REO Speedwagon got into a bad car wreck after a concert on Sunday -- crashing his vehicle after falling asleep at the wheel following a long night.

The 78-year-old tells TMZ ... it all went down after a late-night concert -- he was driving from Illinois to St. Louis after staying up until 4:30 AM Sunday. He felt sleepy and headed towards an exit on the highway .... but nodded off behind the wheel while on the exit ramp. His car veered off the ramp, rolled over once and landed upright in the swale area.

The singer says, "I can only thank my Father in heaven for seeing me through. It could've been worse — I might not have made it — but obviously he feels like it's not time for me to leave yet."

Terry confirms to us he woke up "cocooned" -- wrapped in airbags after the crash ... they deployed on impact and cracked his sternum.

The juror who got booted from the Diddy trial was NOT in awe of Diddy's celebrity or his rap empire ... we've learned the guy was indifferent about Diddy and is mostly into Spanish-language music, so there was no celeb wow factor for him.

A source close to Juror 6 tells TMZ ... the guy never wanted to be part of the high-profile trial, but he got a summons and ended up being picked for the jury.

We're told he's a quiet person who likes to get his work done without being hassled ... and he's not comfortable with all the media attention now that he's been kicked off the jury.

Justin Bieber's anger issues are only getting more intense, and he doesn't have the coping mechanisms to deal with his rage ... so says prominent therapist Dr. Jenn Mann.

We caught up with the reality TV star in Los Angeles on Tuesday ... and, we had to ask her what she makes of this former child star going off the rails on social media -- and berating the paparazzi to boot.

Dr. Jenn says she's super concerned about JB's behavior ... especially his posts about substance use. Remember, Bieber hasn't been shy when it comes to posting pics of himself smoking.

It's like right out of a Hitchcock movie, but not really ... the judge pulled the plug in the Diddy trial Wednesday after learning one of the jurors came down with vertigo.

We don't know the underlying condition of the juror in question, but the evidence was truly head-spinning this week, with jurors fixated on various freak-off videos.

Jurors put on their headphones Tuesday and watched around 10 minutes of the vids, featuring sex scenes between Diddy, Cassie, and male escorts. You could hear a pin drop in the courtroom, as the peanut gallery heard moans bleeding through the headphones.

Justin Bieber and Scooter Braun are very close to finally settling their differences ... because we've learned they're coming to terms over a massive financial dispute.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Justin and Scooter are weeks away from reaching a settlement on a ton of money Justin owes Scooter, and settlement talks were triggered by our recent TMZ documentary on JB.

As we told you in "TMZ Investigates: What Happened to Justin Bieber," their relationship disintegrated after Justin claimed Scooter screwed him out of millions, but our investigation showed the opposite.

Orlando Bloom is on the ultra high-profile guest list for Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's approaching wedding ... and TMZ has learned the actor's going stag amid rumors of his relationship with Katy Perry getting rocky.

Sources tell TMZ ... OB plans to attend the days-long wedding celebration in Venice, Italy, taking place later this month ... and Katy ain't going to be by his side -- but in this instance, there's a perfectly logical explanation.

Katy is currently on tour in Australia, rockin' 15 sold-out shows -- and those dates overlap with the billionaire's bash. And Katy's tour was planned way before Jeff and Lauren locked in their lavish European nuptials.

Pusha T isn't only venting his frustrations at Kanye West in interviews -- he's unloading on Travis Scott on the upcoming Clipse album!!!

"The Breakfast Club"'s Loren LoRosa attended the "Let God Sort 'Em Out" album listening at Roc Nation's office last night ... ahead of the track's "So Be It" audio mysteriously appearing on the internet shortly after.

Pusha painted Travis as a tender-hearted simp on the track ... "You cried in front of me, you died in front of me, Calabasas took ya b**** and ya pride in front of me."

Drake has always credited Lil Wayne for breaking his career, but according to Weezy F. Baby's son, he should get ALL the credit because he wrote ALL the lyrics!!!

Lil Wayne's son Lil Novi was hanging out on a live stream and was asked the "either or" question of selecting his dad vs. Drake ... understandably picking his pops but took things further, claiming, "My dad wrote most of [Drake's] sh*t, if it wasn't for my pops there wouldn't be no Drake."

Meek Mill infamously gave Drake crap for letting Quentin Miller write on a couple of records but Novi's claiming all those pensive moments from "Take Care" and "Views" came courtesy of Lil Wayne's brain.

Machine Gun Kelly is giving the people what they want -- finally dropping the name of his baby girl with ex Megan Fox ... and as you'd expect, it’s not your average playground pick.

In a Tuesday IG vid, MGK gave fans a tender daddy-daughter moment -- strumming a soft tune on his ukulele while his baby girl (mostly out of frame) listened in -- but the real showstopper was the caption: "Saga Blade Fox-Baker ❤️‍🔥."

MGK was definitely all kinds of proud with the bold name choice -- and he even shut off comments on the post … 'cause when you name your kid Saga Blade, you don’t need anyone else’s two cents.
