10:44 AM PT -- Mark Sanchez's team requested to waive his initial court hearing slated for Tuesday ... stating upon acceptance, he will enter a not guilty plea.

8:04 AM PT -- Mark Sanchez is now facing a Level 5 Felony battery involving serious bodily injury charge ... which carries a penalty of one to six years behind bars, Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears announced minutes ago.

Mears explained that upon receiving further information on the alleged victim's condition, it was clear the more severe charge was necessary. According to the amended probable cause affidavit, the alleged victim suffered a "severe laceration to the side of his face, penetrating all the way through his left cheek" ... and stated the pain he experienced eventually reached a 10 on a scale of 1-10.

IMPD Chief Chris Bailey added Sanchez won't get any special treatment ... saying, "I don't care who you are, I don't care what you do for a living, I don't care where you live -- if you come into our city, commit violence, we will use all the tools at our disposal to hold you accountable."

Bailey said given the cases that have unfolded in recent years, "we're lucky that no one's dead right now" due to a knife being involved.

Local cops and officials are about to address the late-night stabbing incident involving Mark Sanchez ... with a press conference slated to go down in a matter of minutes.

The man who stabbed Mark Sanchez -- allegedly in self-defense -- was badly injured himself ... with new photos capturing the extent of the damage.

Max Lewis -- a reporter with FOX59 in Indianapolis -- shared photos of a person he says is the other man rushed to the hospital after the early incident early Saturday morning.

Lewis posted the pictures to Facebook ... and, they are disturbing -- showing a massive, bloody cut on the man's cheek. The neck brace he's wearing is filled with blood.

Mark Sanchez was slapped with 3 misdemeanor charges for his alleged role in Saturday's violent altercation with a truck driver in Indiana that left the ex-football great with multiple stab wounds, according to court documents.

Prosecutors charged Sanchez with battery resulting in injury, public intoxication and unlawful entry of a motor vehicle after he was hospitalized following the Saturday morning bloodshed in downtown Indianapolis.

According to court docs, obtained by TMZ, Sanchez approached the driver who was unloading fryer oil from his truck at a hotel loading dock.

Actor-singer Tyrese Gibson was booked early Friday morning on a Cruelty to Animals charge in Atlanta ... days after news broke at least one of his Cane Corso mastiffs had fatally mauled a neighbor's dog last month.

According to Fulton County, Georgia records, Tyrese was booked at 5:59 AM local time ... he posted a $20,000 bond and was released.

A woman who called 911 to report Rudi Johnson's tragic passing said she heard somebody yelling for help just moments before the ex-NFL star died by suicide.

Police audio TMZ Sports has obtained reveals the caller told dispatch she saw somebody -- who was later ID'ed as Johnson -- fall from a building near her residence in Sunny Isles, Fla. ... at around 11 PM on Sept. 22.

When asked if she had heard anything before Johnson jumped ... the caller stated, "I heard somebody screaming."

The 911 audio of the Iryna Zarutska fatal stabbing aboard a North Carolina train captures the sheer horror right after the unprovoked attack ... with callers seemingly resigned to the fact she was already dead.

TMZ obtained the audio recording of multiple witnesses making emergency calls from a Charlotte train station in August shortly after Iryna was stabbed.

The Fulton County Police Department released video of the dogs from September 18 -- the night of the fateful mauling which resulted in a warrant for Tyrese's arrest -- which shows multiple dogs milling about the front yard of a neighbor's home in Atlanta, captured by doorbell cam.

The dogs are sniffing around and one barks loudly a couple times ... before the pack of pups rushes off away from the home.

Garry Chapman -- Dog the Bounty Hunter's son -- has been fired following the high-speed crash which killed a teenager and put six others in the hospital.

WHNT -- a local news outlet -- reported the Priceville Police Department in Alabama let Chapman go in connection to the tragic car crash ... though Chapman’s attorney, Scott Morro, told them Chapman plans to appeal the decision before the town's city council.

Morro tells TMZ ... the loss of life in this incident is tragic -- and, Garry is mindful of the young man's family and friends, but the suspect in this situation is really the one at fault.

Cops in Georgia say they can't find Tyrese's killer dogs -- weeks after the animals mauled his neighbor's pet to death and investigators claim the actor isn't making it easy.

Fulton County Police Animal Services Captain Nicole Dwyer tells TMZ ... authorities have no idea where Tyrese's Cane Corsos are, accusing him of giving law enforcement the runaround.

Dwyer tells us Tyrese was supposed to surrender the dogs last Friday, but never showed. His lawyer later told police Tyrese needed to get his affairs in order first.

Adding to the drama, cops saw Tyrese post online about taking a mental health break and in that post said he was flying to Dubai until November.

Cops say Terence Crawford's "high rate of speed" was what sparked his now-viral incident with police officers in Nebraska over the weekend.

Fulton County Police Animal Services Captain Nicole Dwyer announced on Monday that the R&B star/'Fast & Furious' staple had a warrant out for his arrest for animal cruelty.

Dwyer told local Atlanta media WSB-TV that they had received a call on September 18 from a neighbor who let his dog out at night ... only to find it dead on the ground minutes later from a clear-cut animal attack.
