The suspected gunman who allegedly shot two National Guard members has been identified as a man from Afghanistan ... and there's video of his arrest.

Footage going viral on social media appears to show the alleged gunman being taken into custody on a D.C. street ... and it looks like the two National Guard members who were shot are on the ground nearby.

There are multiple reports citing unnamed sources that the suspected shooter is 29-year-old Afghan named Rahmanullah Lakanwal.

Two National Guard troops were shot in Washington, D.C. Wednesday afternoon, and at least one suspect was taken into custody. There are conflicting reports on whether the two victims were later pronounced dead.

National Guard soldiers were on "high visibility patrol" when an unidentified male suspect approached and shot the two victims, CNN reports, citing the D.C. Metro Police Dept. Other guardsmen overpowered the suspect and took him into custody. The suspect had no I.D., and was not cooperating with police.

West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey tweeted at 3:42 PM ET ... "It is with great sorrow that we can confirm both members of the West Virginia National Guard who were shot earlier today in Washington, DC have passed away from their injuries." Twenty minutes later, the governor sent a new tweet: "We are now receiving conflicting reports about the condition of our two Guard members and will provide additional updates once we receive more complete information."

That was fast ... prosecutors in Los Angeles County say they've charged three men with murder in the fatal shooting of Maria De La Rosa, a singer who went by the stage name DELAROSA.

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman says the alleged killers in the "ambush-style attack" are 27-year-old Francisco Otilio Gaytan, 27-year-old Benny LiconGomez, and 21-year-old Eduardo Lopez ... prosecutors say they are all from Northridge, where the shooting occurred early Saturday morning ... and each has been charged with one felony count of murder and two felony counts of attempted second-degree robbery.

Hochman says the men allegedly approached a parked car shortly before 1:25 AM on Nov. 22 on Bryant Street in Northridge ... they demanded money and then opened fire, killing DELAROSA. She was in the car with two friends, who were not harmed.

Maria De La Rosa, a singer who went by the name DELAROSA, was fatally shot inside a parked car in Los Angeles ... and it sounds like the bullets pierced her abdomen.

TMZ obtained dispatch audio from early Saturday morning's fatal shooting in the San Fernando Valley ... and you hear the dispatcher say the victim is a Hispanic female in her 20s with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

The dispatcher says the victim is in critical condition in the emergency room at Northridge Hospital Medical Center ... and there are friends standing by waiting for updates in the family room.

11/25/25, 10:22 AM PT -- A family member tells TMZ Maria De La Rosa was the only victim struck by gunfire ... we're told Maria was sitting in the passenger seat of the car when the two assailants fired through the driver's side. The two other people in the car -- a male and a female -- were not hit, according to the family member. The family member said the two others were friends of Maria's.

A young woman who was shot dead in Northridge, Los Angeles has been identified as Maria De La Rosa, a singer who went by the name DELAROSA.

The 22-year-old Latin artist was struck by gunfire in what was described as an "ambush-style" killing and died later at the hospital, according to KTLA-TV.

LAPD officials told the outlet Monday ... witnesses saw two males run up to a parked vehicle and fired multiple rounds, hitting three people sitting in the car.

A Christmas tree lighting ceremony in North Carolina turned into a bullet festival when 2 gunmen exchanged gunfire, injuring 4 people -- including themselves, according to police.

The bullets started flying Friday night at the holiday event in Concord, NC, where locals -- among them young children -- had gathered for the festivities along with the assailants, identified as Nasir Ahmad Bostic and an unnamed juvenile, cops said.

Police say the gun-wielding suspects pumped each other full of lead, while also shooting two other people. The injured were rushed to a hospital, where Bostic, the juvenile and a 17-year-old were listed in critical condition. A fourth person, also 17, was treated and released from the hospital.

A masked man sporting a ballistic helmet walks into a Las Vegas casino with an AR-style rifle to rob the joint.

Sounds like something straight out of a Hollywood action film ... but the wild scenario actually happened last week at the Rampart Casino in Sin City -- and Vegas Police are now releasing video of the shocking stick-up.

It all went down last Thursday night when the gunman strolled onto the grounds and stepped inside the hotel through a parking garage. In addition to the helmet, the suspect, as you can see, was wearing blue sunglasses, a black facemask, and a blue and yellow security-type jacket.

A 27-year-old man has been charged with murder in the death of "Last Chance U" star John Beam ... officials announced Monday.

According to court docs, Cedric Irving Jr. admitted to shooting Beam at Laney College in Oakland on Thursday ... and had the handgun used in the disgusting act in his possession at the time of his arrest at the San Leandro BART station at 3 AM the next morning.

Beam was shot in the head and rushed to a nearby hospital ... but tragically, he died from the injuries he sustained.

NFL's Kris Boyd Shot in NYC, Critically Injured

New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd is clinging to life after being shot in New York City early Sunday.

The NYPD says the gunfire erupted around 2 AM just blocks from Times Square. When officers arrived, they found the 29-year-old cornerback collapsed on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Paramedics rushed Boyd to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition, according to law enforcement.

The Jets acknowledged the incident, saying only ... "We are aware of the situation involving Kris Boyd and will have no further comment at this time."

Newark Mass Shooting 2 Dead, 3 Injured

A New Jersey neighborhood was shaken to its core over the weekend when a mass shooting erupted ... killing a 10-year-old boy and a 21-year-old woman, and injuring three others.

Cops in Newark say gunfire broke out around 7 PM when witnesses reported a burst of rapid shots followed by panic in the street. One woman said she heard more than six rounds and a lot of screaming before police locked down the scene.

The Essex County Prosecutor's Office says two victims, the young boy and the 21-year-old woman, were rushed to the hospital but couldn't be saved. Three more victims, including an 11-year-old boy and two men, ages 19 and 60, are in stable condition.

9:01 AM PT -- A man was arrested in a city outside Oakland on Friday in connection to the shooting, according to local reports.

It's unclear at this time if the suspect had any ties to the football program or Coach Beam.

"Last Chance U" star and Laney College athletic director John Beam was reportedly shot on Thursday ... and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

His current condition has not been released.

Acting Oakland Police Chief James Beere said in a press conference they received reports and calls before noon about shots being fired at Laney College.

When officers arrived, they located a wounded victim. He was transported to the hospital, where he's currently being treated.

In legal docs obtained by TMZ ... Mangione's lawyers -- namely Karen Friedman Agnifilo, Marc Agnifilo and Jacob Kaplan -- cite a December 2024 press conference where NYPD detectives referenced information they received from the FBI ... including info from a San Francisco Police Department sergeant who'd spoken to Mangione's mother after the shooting in connection with a missing-person report.

In the press conference, the NYPD's Chief of Detectives referenced the SFPD officer, explaining Kathleen "didn't indicate that it was her son in the photograph, but she said it might be something that she could see him doing."

A teenage birthday party promoted on social media turned into a night of chaos and gunfire in Ohio, with police confirming nine people were injured after shots rang out at a packed Airbnb rental.

Police say officers were called just after midnight following multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired inside the home. The massive party, filled mostly with juveniles, had been advertised online, drawing a crowd that quickly spiraled out of control.

By the time cops arrived, most of the partygoers had fled. Inside, first responders found victims suffering from gunshot wounds and other injuries scattered across the first floor of the house. Shell casings littered the scene as officers worked to secure the property.
