Brooke Hogan came out swinging in a statement of her own after her mother, Linda Hogan, tearfully called the Hogan family "the worst mess" and claimed she has no idea why her daughter won't speak to her.

Brooke shared a lengthy note on Instagram Thursday night, explaining she had no contact with her mom after being "EXTREMELY" verbally and mentally abused since her childhood, which she said sometimes turned physical. She also says her mother's behavior in the video she posted Thursday is "mild" compared to what she has witnessed for the "greater portion" of her life.

Sources close to Brooke tell TMZ that the physical abuse claims mentioned in her Instagram post were not made by her father, Hulk Hogan.

Further explaining her frustration, the singer and actress says she's been asked to "defend poor behavior to the public and have done so out of love" ... only to learn she was "misinformed, manipulated, and lied to."

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are welcoming a new member to their family ... sharing a video of the rescue dog they adopted just months after one of their other pups passed away.

The Hollywood super couple announced the adoption on Sunday -- National Puppy Day ... explaining they adopted Dudley from Wags & Walks ... a nonprofit "dedicated to saving dogs from high-kill shelters and placing them in loving homes."

"Impractical Jokers" alum Joe Gatto has denied a TikToker's viral allegation that he sexually assaulted her when she was 19 in 2023.

The comedian told TMZ in a statement ...  he "used poor judgment" in the past and has therefore "violated the trust of the people" he loves ... but is confident anyone who knows him knows he "wouldn’t assault anyone."

He adds, "Working on myself is an ongoing process, and I am now going to take some time away from the public eye to focus my energies where I need to."
