Dodgers fans getting their brooms ready might need to a take a beat ... 'cause David Ortiz tells TMZ Sports he's not buying the narrative Los Angeles will sweep Toronto in the World Series.

We caught up with Big Papi out at LAX on Thursday -- just a day before the MLB's championship matchup kicks off in Canada -- and he made it clear, he thinks the Jays can win it.

In fact, he was surprised to hear some think a Dodgers title is already a foregone conclusion.

The Los Angeles Dodgers may be without one of their best bullpen pieces for the World Series ... because Alex Vesia is taking a step back from the team to deal with what the team is calling a "deeply personal family matter."

The organization announced the news via a public statement Thursday afternoon ... writing that Alex and his wife Kayla are navigating this difficulty. The team is sending thoughts to the Vesias during this troubling time.

While the Dodgers didn't say what the personal matter is, we do know Kayla's pregnant with the couple's first child -- with Kayla looking ready to give birth any day in photos taken on the field after the Dodgers advanced to the World Series. It's unclear if that is at all related to his absence from the team.

The L.A. Dodgers fan who had a firework explode in his hand during a viral World Series celebration-gone-wrong last week has lost two of his fingers, his dad announced this week.

Kevin King Sr. told Fox 11 Los Angeles his 25-year-old son, Kevin King Jr., is now without the pointer finger and the middle finger on his left hand ... and has already undergone two surgeries to repair the damage the firework caused.

Unfortunately, King Sr. said King Jr. will require a third procedure soon.

The Dodgers hosted an epic World Series parade Friday ... and some of the players' wives and girlfriends were certainly dressed for the occasion -- getting hooked up with some one-of-a-kind jackets in honor of the team's eighth World Series celebration!!!

Michelle of Custom Bling tells TMZ Sports she got right to work the moment the champs defeated the New York Yankees Wednesday night in the Bronx -- saying she hustled to get the project done in time for the celebration through the streets of DTLA.

The denim jackets -- requested by the wives of Will Smith, Chris Taylor, NLCS MVP Tommy Edman and Walker Buehler -- are decked out with blue and gold Swarovski crystals in the shape of the Commissioner's Trophy.

Fat Joe became the butt of all jokes at the Los Angeles Dodgers championship parade day when Enrique Hernández credited him with helping the New York Yankees LOSE the World Series!!!

Game 2 featured the former N.W.A. leader even impressing a few Yankees with his performance of "Bow Down" and "It Was A Good Day" -- and Kiké says the Blue Crew had the game in the bag.

The Dodgers just wrapped up their World Series parade ... and it was epic -- as it featured Walker Buehler slugging beer, Dave Roberts dancing on Ice Cube ... and even Shohei Ohtani addressing fans in English!

Buehler's chug got all the festivities kicked off on Friday afternoon ... as just after the team's championship busses got going down their parade route through downtown Los Angeles, he whipped out a beer bong and guzzled a cold one.

For the next hour or so, around an estimated two million people cheered on the newly minted champs as they made their way through the roadways.

A World Series celebration Wednesday night turned tragic for one Dodgers fan ... who blew off their hand while lighting a firework in the streets of L.A.

Wendell Pierce didn't have an amazing time at the World Series on Wednesday ... 'cause the award-winning actor claims fans were throwing stuff at him -- forcing him to leave the game early.

"The Wire" and "Suits" actor -- who was, oddly enough, rooting for both teams in the Fall Classic -- was present for Game 5 in New York ... but didn't get to witness the Dodgers' comeback win/Yankees' heartbreaking loss.

"Unfortunately I just left the Yankees game because I was talking to a Dodgers fan and people were throwing things at me," Pierce said on X.

Clayton Kershaw put his dadbod on full display Wednesday night -- ditching his top after the Dodgers' World Series win ... and the future Hall of Famer's shirtless championship celebration was nothing short of epic!!

Witnesses shot video footage of crowds fanning out across L.A. after the Dodgers 7-6 victory over the New York Yankees in Game 5 of the World Series, propelling the team to their 8th championship.

TMZ Sports caught up with the Sox legend in NYC Tuesday morning, just hours after the Yankees lost their third straight game to the L.A. Dodgers in the World Series.

We asked Ortiz -- a studio analyst for FOX Sports' MLB coverage (along with Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez) -- whether he "enjoyed" the playful hate.

We caught up with the former Captain in NYC a few hours before NYY's do-or-die game vs. the LAD ... and the Hall of Famer isn't complicating things.

"Do you want me to break it down for you what happened last night," Jeter asked us. "The  Dodgers scored more runs than the Yankees."

The Los Angeles Dodgers' dominance in the World Series has taken a toll on ticket prices ... with seats becoming more and more affordable by the minute as the Yankees face elimination.

The folks at Gametime -- a last-minute ticket app -- tell TMZ Sports entry to Game 4 of the Fall Classic has become pretty reasonable compared to the wild listing prices prior to the start of the series.

According to the company, the lowest listing for Tuesday's game is $749 -- a major decrease from the $1,583 price tag a week ago.

The World Series made its way from L.A. to NYC on Monday ... and a handful of big names were present to watch the Dodgers take care of business yet again against the Yankees.

Derek Jeter got things started off at Yankee Stadium ... throwing out the ceremonial first pitch to try and light a spark in Aaron Judge and the rest of the NY offense.

Queens native Leslie Odom Jr. was picked to belt out the National Anthem ... and Fat Joe brought the pregame festivities to a close by performing renditions of "New York" and "All The Way Up."
