Emma Roberts has the law on her side as she takes steps to protect herself from a man she claims broke into her home and called her cell phone from her landline.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, a judge just granted the "American Horror Story" star a permanent restraining order against a 32-year-old man named Melvin Jeffery Conley.

Emma's 3-year-old son is also getting protection under the order ... after ER claimed Conley mentioned her kid by name, making her concerned about his intentions.

A Pennsylvania crossing guard has drawn huge outrage -- this after she was arrested for allegedly giving drugs to middle schoolers and even smoking weed with one of them.

Cops in Delaware County handcuffed 26-year-old Kiara Lee, a Penn Wood Middle School employee, Tuesday ... after reports emerged witnesses had seen her giving children e-cigarettes and weed edibles.

There were loads of other similar claims against Lee -- one student's guardian said Lee had been giving their child vapes and marijuana edibles.

Angelina Pivarnick is facing criminal charges after some sort of incident from over the weekend -- but her lawyer says the whole ordeal has been blown out of proportion.

The 'Jersey Shore' star is up against a slew of charges in New Jersey -- including simple assault, criminal mischief, obstructing the administration of law and resisting arrest ... this according to a municipal summons that was issued Sunday, obtained by TMZ.

The summons doesn't have more info beyond this -- although it does note that further info is unavailable due to confidential information.

Hunter's ex, Zoe Kestan, testified in court out in Delaware Wednesday in the President's son's federal gun trial ... with her testimony touching on a lot of Hunter's alleged drug habits while they were together years ago.

Zoe testified Hunter's crack use was near constant in private and that he "would want to smoke as soon as he woke up." On the flip side, she also says he was universally liked while out in public ... telling jurors he was "charming."

According to court records, GRB's lawsuit against April Johns -- whom Gypsy says she was in business with several years ago in an attempt to produce media that would be lucrative and benefit her and her family -- got dismissed Wednesday in Livingston County, Missouri.

It doesn't look like Gypsy herself was there -- the court docket says her attorney showed up on her behalf -- and Johns appeared without an attorney, apparently repping herself.

Sean Kingston was shipped out from California to Florida in his $1 million fraud case, and now a Sunshine State sheriff's office wants to send the singer a bill for the transport costs.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, the Broward County Sheriff's Office is asking the court to have Sean pay back the taxpayers of Broward County for the cost of his extradition.

BCSO says taxpayers shelled out $5,268.53 for Sean's extradition from Cali ... with transport costs going towards commercial airline tickets, hotels, car rental and travel allowances for the U.S. Marshalls and Broward County sheriffs deputies tasked with bringing Sean back to Florida.

The Michigan man who was caught driving while attending a Zoom court hearing over his suspended license says he was mortified by the incident, yet he should not have been sent to jail over it.

In a recent interview with 7 News Detroit, Corey Harris admitted he was "very embarrassed" during the virtual May 15 hearing with Judge J. Cedric Simpson because he has strong ties with his local church and community in Ann Arbor.

6/4/24 -- Josh's company, Preview Models, tells TMZ they worked with Sharaun and did everything in obtaining and using her image on the up and up -- but claims they got a letter from her in November that demanded money over what she felt was an unauthorized use of her likeness.

PM also says that any unauthorized materials pertaining to Sharaun were destroyed, and that they haven't heard a peep from her ... until now. Preview Models also tells us they haven't even been served with any papers pertaining to this suit ... but note that if/when they officially become aware of it, they'll defend themselves ... and might even countersue her if need be.

"90 Day Fiancé" star Josh Weinstein is being dragged to court by a model ... with her claiming his production company used her image to market his business, but is not paying up.

Sharaun Brown just filed a lawsuit against Josh, claiming the reality star's Preview Models production biz used her photos on its website to promote the company, propping her up as a "Celebrity Mentor" and using her to lure in aspiring models.

According to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Sharaun says Preview Models started using her image around February 2023, adding her photos to ads for open casting calls, fashion shows and booking services.

Henry Jarecki -- an award-winning psychiatrist and Hollywood movie producer -- is being dragged to court by one of Jeffrey Epstein's accusers ... a woman who claims Jarecki sexually assaulted and trafficked her.

According to a new lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, the woman claims Jarecki was a close associate of Epstein's, and someone JE relied on as part of Epstein's sex-trafficking operation. She claims Epstein sent her to Jarecki for mental-health treatment and instead of helping her as a psychiatrist, Jarecki raped her.

In the docs, the woman claims she came to the United States around 2010 through a modeling agency but couldn't legally work because she did not have a visa, and she ended up being introduced to Epstein, who she claims began sexually abusing her and controlling her entire life.

President Joe Biden's son is on trial in Delaware, where federal prosecutors previously indicted Hunter on gun charges. Hunter showed up at a Wilmington courthouse bright and early Monday, and jury selection is currently underway.

The Bidens are making history here ... Hunter's trial is the first ever involving the child of a sitting president.
