Fyre Festival 2.0 will not go down in Playa del Carmen, Mexico next month, and the organizers say it's because they got royally screwed by the Mexican government.

TMZ has obtained text messages sent by a Fyre Fest event producer saying they've been backstabbed by Mexican officials. Not mincing words, the event producer says, "They f***ed us."

According to the event producer, the government is acting like they had no idea the festival was going down in May ... "They [the government] posted on X, Instagram etc giving their blessing and support and then yesterday they say we've never heard of them its hilarious."

Mark Ronson went from the DJ booth to a hospital bed ... and it sounds like he was trying to do way too much.

Johnny Tillotson -- a well-known pop singer with multiple top 10 hits over the years -- has died ... TMZ has confirmed.

The songwriter's wife, Nancy, announced the news on her Facebook page Wednesday morning ... revealing the veteran musician passed away yesterday. Nancy highlighted Tillotson's many achievements through the years, and thanked his fans for always supporting her husband.

We spoke with Nancy, who tells TMZ ... Johnny died due to complications from Parkinson's, at his home in L.A., surrounded by family.
