Reese Witherspoon Inspired by Walter White's 'Breaking Bad' Arrest

This is just beyond ... but turns out Reese Witherspoon's rant during her Atlanta arrest could have been an audition for "Breaking Bad" -- because it's a damn good imitation of a scene where Walter White gets busted.

Way back in Season 3 ... Bryan Cranston's meth-cooking chem teacher character got pulled over for a shattered windshield, and went off on the officer saying ... "This is America and I have rights," and ... "Pepper spray the man who's expressing his opinion under the 1st Amendment!!"

Sound familiar?

Watch the 'BB' scene and Reese's infamous verbal eruption where, for starters, she said, "I'm allowed to stand on American ground and ask any question I want to ask."

Coincidence? Or maybe Reese saw the episode shortly before her run-in with Johnny Law?

At least she avoided the pepper spray ... which would have been "beyond."

Reese Witherspoon Drinking w/ Hubby AGAIN ... On American Soil

While no amazing dash cam videos were necessary this time, Reese Witherspoon was caught drinking with her husband again ... but she just had water.

And although the 37-year-old mother of three kept it refreshingly sober by just throwing back H2O, her husband Jim Toth did imbibe what looks like wine during lunch at a New York City restaurant on Tuesday.

After their awkward arrests last month, Reese pled no contest to disorderly conduct and Jim pled guilty to DUI.

Taxi!

Reese Witherspoon's Cop Hat IT'S A KNOCKOFF! And Police Say It's Ugly Too

The Atlanta Police Dept. tells TMZ ... they DID NOT give Reese Witherspoon a free hat after her arrest -- in fact, cops say the "A.P.D." cap she was wearing this weekend is nothing more than a CHEAP, UGLY KNOCKOFF!

We spoke to Senior Officer Stanionis from the Public Affairs office of the APD, who told us point blank -- "We did not give her that hat. We have no idea where she got that hat."

"In fact, that’s an awful hat," Stanionis continued ... "Looks like a patch glued onto a hat and it’s not a good one."

Wearing a phony police hat??? That is beyond ...

Reese Witherspoon An American Citizen Who LOVES Cops

Reese Witherspoon is clearly over the fact that an Atlanta cop obstructed her justice, because she showed up at LAX last night -- which is on American soil -- sporting an Atlanta PD hat.

That hat is beyond.

Reese Witherspoon You Be the Judge

The Reese Witherspoon dash cam arrest video was definitely the most entertaining footage so far in 2013. But was it revealing? We gotta ask ...

The true Reese emerged

She didn't know what she was saying

GMA apology

Cop knew her name

Reese Witherspoon Arrest MORE Dash Cam Footage Hubby Blames Her

More Reese Witherspoon video ... and this part is very personal, where Reese's husband, Jim Toth, blames her for making a traffic stop national news.

The clip starts with Reese's now-famous line, "My name is Reese Witherspoon ... It will be in the national news." You then hear her argue with the cop.

A while later ... when Reese and Jim are in the patrol car ... you hear him scold her for mouthing off to the cop. At one point she says to Jim, "He doesn't have jurisdiction over the ground he speaks on." Classic.

You gotta watch this.

Reese Witherspoon Arrest DASH CAM VIDEO Crazier Than You Thought!

10:30 AM PT -- And just when you thought it couldn't get any better ... we just posted more video.

Reese Witherspoon wasn't kidding when she told GMA she was "saying all kinds of crazy things" ... and TMZ has obtained the entire, unbelievably entertaining dash cam video.

The footage, obtained from law enforcement sources, shows the officer arresting Reese's husband Jim Toth for DUI in the early morning hours of April 19.

Reese -- who since admitted she was hammered at the time -- decided to butt in during the arrest ... and the officer obviously wasn't having it and cartoonishly enforced the law with a vengeance.

In fact, the cop warned Reese several times to sit down and be quiet so he could focus on Jim -- Witherspoon didn't exactly comply.

Instead, Reese got in the officer's face ... and annoyed him to the point that he arrested her for disorderly conduct. Here are some of Reese's finest quotes during the incident:

Reese: "Do you know my name sir?"
Officer: "Don't need to know."
Reese "You don't NEED to know my name?"
Officer: "Not quite yet."
Reese: "YOU'RE ABOUT TO FIND OUT WHO I AM!"

Reese: "I have done nothing against the law."
Officer: "Yes you did, you didn't obey my orders."
Reese: "I HAVE TO OBEY YOUR ORDERS??"

Reese: "I'm now being arrested and handcuffed??"

Reese: "I'm an American citizen ... I'm allowed to stand on American ground."

Reese: "You better not arrest me."

Reese: "I'm being anti-American?"
Officer: "Yes, please sit down."
Reese: "Wow!"

Reese: "You're harassing me as an American citizen"

And the best line -- "I'm obstructing your justice?"

After Reese's tirade, Jim actually told the cop, "I'm sorry, I had nothing to do with that!"

During the arrest, Reese also told the cop she was pregnant and needed to pee. She later confessed on "GMA" that she panicked and said "crazy things" because her husband was being arrested.

Funny moment during the bust ... the officer instructs Toth to blow hard during a breathalyzer test -- coaching him along the way, "Blow! blow! blow! blow! blow! blow! blow!"

But Toth blew TOO HARD ... and the cop had to do the whole thing all over again.

We broke the story ... Reese pled no contest to Physical Obstruction of Another and Jim pled guilty to DUI.

Reese Witherspoon Pleads No Contest ... Hubby Pleads Guilty to DUI

Reese Witherspoon just pled no contest and her husband Jim Toth pled guilty in Atlanta to charges stemming from his DUI arrest and her bust for mouthing off to the arresting officer ... TMZ has learned.

Reese -- who was arrested for disorderly conduct April 19 after disobeying an officer's order to stay in the car -- pled no contest to the infraction. You'll recall during her husband's arrest an inebriated Reese asked the cop, "Do you know my name?" She also told him he was gonna be on national news.

Reese -- who was not present but represented by her lawyer, Bruce Morris -- entered the plea to physical obstruction of another and will pay a $213 fine, and that's it.

As for Jim, he was in court and pled guilty to driving under the influence. He'll get no jail time but he must perform 40 hours of community service and attend an alcohol education program. He's been placed on probation for 12 months.

The judge said to Jim, "Consider yourself fortunate you didn't injure your passenger [Reese] and didn't kill anyone."

This is an unusual move for celebrities, who often try and spin their legal woes. Reese was on GMA this morning ... saying she and Jim took full responsibility for their screw-ups and even admitted they exercised really bad judgment when he got behind the wheel drunk.

Her GMA appearance was just hours before Reese and Jim essentially said the same thing to a judge -- accepting responsibility and taking their lumps.

Reese Witherspoon Arrest in ATL Was Just 'One of Those Nights'

Reese Witherspoon said she and her husband exercised "poor judgment" on the night they were both arrested in Atlanta and says an incident like that will "never happen again."

In her first interview since the arrest in Atlanta on April 19, Reese told George Stephanopoulos of "Good Morning America" that she and hubby Jim Toth had "one too many glasses of wine" at dinner and thought they were "fine to drive."

Clearly they weren't ... and Witherspoon was arrested for disorderly conduct after she mouthed off to the police officer who was arresting her husband for DUI.

As for the infamous "Do you know my name?" ... Reese admitted, "I had no idea what I was saying."

Reese Witherspoon Back to the Scene of the Crime

Reese Witherspoon is headed back to the city where no one knows her name ... well, they probably do now.

Our photogs spotted the "Legally Blonde" star at LAX bright and early this morning, hopping a plane back to Atlanta ... scene of her embarrassing arrest last week.

Reese wasn't in a chatty mood when our guy tried to spark a conversation but given her recent history ... that's probably the right move for her.

Reese Witherspoon & Hubby Back to Business After Embarrassing Arrests

Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth aren't hiding in shame following their embarrassing weekend arrests ... they're facing life head-on.

Reese was all smiles today in L.A. getting out of her car ... and Jim was back to work as usual at CAA, where he's one of Hollywood's bigwig agents.

You'll recall, Reese and Jim were both arrested in Atlanta on Friday -- Jim was popped for DUI ... and Reese was busted for disorderly conduct, after getting a little too worked up in her husband's defense.

According to police, Reese told one officer, "You're about to find out who I am ... You are going to be on national news."

Reese later released a statement, saying she was "deeply embarrassed" by what she had said.

Reese Witherspoon In Handcuffs Police Video

Video footage has just surfaced showing Reese Witherspoon in handcuffs moments after her "Do-you-know-my-name" arrest on Friday.

The video shows Reese being led out of a police cruiser in cuffs, then uncuffed and taken inside the police station for booking. She appears calm and cooperative. FOX5 in Atlanta published the video first.

As we reported, Reese was arrested early Friday morning for disorderly conduct ... while her husband Jim Toth was being arrested for DUI. According to police, Reese had gotten worked up while trying to defend her husband.

According to the police report Reese told the officer, "You're about to find out who I am ... You are going to be on national news."

She released a statement Sunday saying she was "deeply embarrassed" by what she had said and had one drink too many.

David Spade Hey Reese Witherspoon ... YOU'RE NOT THAT FAMOUS!

Reese Witherspoon learned the hard way -- if you have to tell someone, "Do you know who I am?" ... you're NOT as famous as you think you are, this according to David Spade.

Spade was leaving Boa Steakhouse in Hollywood last night when we asked if there's ever a good time for a star to drop the "I'm a really big deal" schtick ( a la Reese) ... and the "Rules of Engagement" star gave it to us straight.

"If you have to explain to someone you're famous, then you're technically not that famous."

#Truth.

Reese Witherspoon ARRESTED 'You're About to Find Out Who I Am!'

6:33 AM PT -- Reese and Jim won't be in court today ... they had their cases continued until hearings set in Atlanta for May 22 and May 23, respectively.

9:40 PM PT
-- Reese has just released a statement, saying,

"Out of respect for the ongoing legal situation, I cannot comment on everything that is being reported right now. But I do want to say I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said. It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that was no excuse. I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. The words I used that night definitely do not reflect who I am. I have nothing but respect for the police and I am very sorry for my behavior."

Reese Witherspoon pulled her celebrity card out while her husband was getting arrested for DUI, telling the officer who ended up busting her, "You're about to find out who I am."

The arrests went down in Atlanta early Friday morning. Cops say they spotted Reese and her husband Jim Toth's car -- a silver Ford Fusion -- weaving in and out of lanes, so they pulled them over.

As officers dealt with Jim, Reese allegedly started acting up, telling cops, "Do you know my name?" The officer answered by saying, "No, I don't need to know your name."

Witherspoon then came back with, "You're about to find out who I am ... You are going to be on national news."

During Jim's arrest, Reese allegedly became ornery, demonstrating visual and verbal frustration over how long it was taking to arrest her husband. At one point, she got out of her car and the officer ordered her back inside. When she got out a second time, he arrested her for disorderly conduct, a municipal ordinance.

They were both taken to jail, booked, and released a short time later.

As for Toth's part of the arrest ... the officer in the report described him by saying his "eye lids were droopy" and his eyes were "blood shot and watery." The officer said he smelled a "strong odor" of alcohol coming from Toth.

The officer stated that Toth told him he only had one drink, but -- as first reported by Variety -- when given a Breathalyzer test, Toth's blood alcohol level was .139.

In Reese's defense maybe she played the celeb card because she had as much to drink as her hubby. Just sayin' ...

Reese Witherspoon These People Know Who I Am

Hours after news broke that she whipped out her celebrity card during her husband's DUI arrest, Reese Witherspoon posed for pics with Matthew McConaughey and Sarah Paulson at an event in NYC.

As TMZ previously reported, Witherspoon was busted for disorderly conduct in Atlanta after she mouthed off to an officer who was arresting her husband for DUI. During the incident, the officer reported that Reese told him, "You're about to find out who I am ... You are going to be on national news."

Reese has since apologized for the incident.
