For the second time in days, a "Big Brother" houseguest got shocking news from the outside world about a family member's death -- this time it was Derrick Levasseur's grandfather.
On tonight's live feed, houseguest Derrick was handed a note from producers -- like Frankie Grande on Wednesday evening -- and learned of the death in his family.
It's eerie … Derrick purposely lost the Head of Household competition on Thursday so Frankie would get a chance to see photos of his grandfather who died on Tuesday.
Derrick shared his news with Frankie in the house tonight … and said his family isn't as close. He said he wasn't planning to leave the house for the funeral on Sunday.
As we told you … it is extremely rare for producers to break the 'BB' house quarantine even once in a season.
In the Hamptons Again
7/25/2014 7:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Scott Disick returned to the scene of the crime last night with a wine glass in hand as he partied with French Montana and Fat Joe at J.Lo's 45th birthday bash.
Interesting that Lord D posted the pic himself. We can't tell what's in the glass, but it seems Scott has gotten over the night of severe boozing in the Hamptons about a month ago that sent him to a hospital with alcohol poisoning.
As we told you ... that incident got Scott on the wagon -- sources told us he hadn't had a drink since.
To be fair ... Fat Joe's pants would drive anyone to drink.
Former Contestants Split
Over Telling Frankie

"Big Brother" showdown: 2 former, famous contestants squaring off over whether producers should have told Frankie Grande about his grandfather's death.
RACHEL REILLY, Winner, Season 13. Producers had an obligation to tell Frankie. Death trumps show rules.
SPENCER CLAWSON, Contestant, Season 15. Horrible move by producers. It opens Pandora's Box. What happens next ... say a contestant's son has to be put under anesthesia. Tell or don't tell?
Watch the video. They actually both make compelling points.
So, we gotta ask ...
Frankie Grande Gets the News His Grandpa Died
7/23/2014 6:50 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
"Big Brother" producers broke the news to Ariana Grande's brother late Wednesday that his grandfather passed away -- and the whole 'BB' house is rallying around him.
TMZ broke the story earlier today ... Frankie Grande's grandpa died on Tuesday, but Ariana obeyed his final wish -- to let Frankie continue on 'BB" despite his illness.
But this evening producers passed a note to Frankie from his family ... which revealed the sad news.
According to bloggers watching the 'BB' live feed -- Frankie broke down in tears and shared the news with everyone else in the house. Some of the other house guests are crying too.
Frankie's grandfathers death has hit Zach. Zach is crying in the lounge alone. Zach: "This sucks!" #BB16— BigBrotherLeak (@BigBrotherLeak) July 24, 2014
It's extremely rare for "Big Brother" producers to break quarantine and allow contestants to get news from the outside world. One of the only times we can remember it happening is for 9/11.
Still unclear at this point who made the final call in this case. We've reached out to producers ... but, so far no word back.

*** "Games of Thrones" spoilers below ***
Just because one of their characters got killed off the show, it doesn't mean the end for "Game of Thrones" couple Kit Harington and Rose Leslie.
The pair, a couple both on and off-screen for the last few years, were spotted Wednesday at LAX, sporting matching black sunglasses as they hopped a flight out of Los Angeles.
For a guy who knows nothing, Jon Snow sure can hang on to a hot chick.

... Or A Sex Toy!! (VIDEO)

"Real Housewives of New York" star Aviva Drescher doesn't have a leg to stand on ... by claiming she never used her prosthetic appendage as a weapon -- and there's video proving she's lying.
We got Drescher outside Sanctuary Hotel in NYC Tuesday night and asked about her EPIC argument on the RHONY season finale ... when she angrily detached her artificial leg and HURLED it toward Heather Thomson.
Drescher claims she wasn't trying to hurt anyone with her prosthetic projectile.
But you gotta see her reaction ... when she discovers some guys get their rocks off ... by watching women who take it off ... their leg, that is.

Jimmy Choo Founder
Sues Interior Designer
Your Work isn't Fit For a Frat House!
7/23/2014 2:17 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
The woman who co-founded Jimmy Choo just scored a legal victory against her famous interior designer, claiming he charged her around $2 MILLION for work that "would not be acceptable in a college frat house."
Tamara Mellon's designer lawsuit against Martyn Lawrence Bullard -- who appeared on Bravo's "Million Dollar Decorators" -- will NOT be dismissed ... so ruled an L.A. judge on Wednesday.
Mellon claims Bullard is a media whore who flaunts his A-list clientele -- including Christina Aguilera, Cher, Aaron Sorkin and Eva Mendes -- and then grossly overcharges and delivers a shoddy product.
Mellon hired Bullard to decorate her swanky NYC apartment and her Hamptons home. She says when he was done, bookshelves were falling apart, a wall speaker was painted over, wallpaper was peeling off walls, the chandelier was dangling like a death trap, and on and on.
To make matters worse, she claims he was grossly over budget for the Hamptons house and when she complained he said, "I cannot possibly work on a limited budget."
Mellon says in her lawsuit -- filed by Eric George -- Bullard had the audacity to charge $35,000 for 8 chairs that he bought from a mall chain store.
And get this ... she says he misjudged the size of a piece of marble he ordered for her NYC apartment, so it had to be lifted by crane. She says he not only charged her to foot the bill for the crane fee, he added a 67% fee for himself.
They appeared together -- huggy huggy and kissy kissy -- back in 2011 on Bullard's Bravo show, "Million Dollar Decorators."
Billy Bob Thornton
'Cupcake Wars' Crew Can't Take a Joke
7/23/2014 2:20 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Billy Bob Thornton pissed off the cast of "Cupcake Wars" when he ripped their show -- and reality TV in general -- for being a waste of airtime, but now that they're fighting back ... he's going soft.
The actor said a mouthful about the cupcake show on his recently aired episode of "Oprah's Master Class" -- such as, "Seriously, it's not that G** damn dangerous to make a cupcake."
But last night when we caught up with Billy Bob he kinda backpedaled, and said the 'Cupcake' peeps need to chill ... he was just trying to be funny. Watch the clip though -- there is one thing he's owning. Fair to say, he won't be tuning in to Food Network anytime soon.
Thing is ... Billy's commentary WAS funny as hell. Too bad he's not standing by it.
Ariana Grande Hides Grandpa's Death
From Brother Frankie
7/23/2014 9:39 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
"Big Brother" is now keeping a deep secret -- something that could derail the show if revealed too soon -- and it involves the death of one of Ariana Grande's relatives.
Ariana's grandfather died Tuesday. He's also the grandpa of Ariana's brother, Frankie Grande, who's a contestant on "Big Brother."
It seems just before he died the grandfather knew Frankie might bail from the show if he found out, so one of grandpa's last wishes was to keep his death a secret from Frankie.
Ariana was chronicling her grandpa's illness ... recently posting pictures with him in the hospital. But Frankie never saw them per the rules of the show.
Ariana made her grandfather's wishes clear, tweeting, "asked grandps last week if he wanted us to pull frankie off bb & he said "no way! he's gotta play the game even tho i don't understand it"
It seems from the "Big Bro" live feeds ... Frankie is still in the dark over his grandpa's death.
7:00 PM PT -- Producers just told Frankie about the death.
Quickie Wedding Reeks of Ex-Fiancé
7/23/2014 8:45 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Naya Rivera's marriage to actor Ryan Dorsey came out of nowhere for everyone, except Naya -- who actually co-opted a lot of the ceremony from her planned wedding to Big Sean ... including the date.
Rivera and Dorsey tied the knot in Cabo San Lucas over the weekend. The longtime friends began dating right after Rivera broke off her engagement to rapper Big Sean in April.
According to our sources, the wedding date -- July 19 -- was the exact same date Naya and Sean were supposed to tie the knot. We're told Naya picked the date back in October when she and Sean got engaged.
The similarities don't end there ... according to reports, Rivera was married in a Monique Lhuillier gown -- which our sources say is the same designer of the dress Sean bought for Rivera for their wedding.
One more thing -- Rivera never gave back Sean's engagement ring, according to our sources. However, we don't know if she found a way to re-purpose that.
Ryan Dorsey's dad, Arnold, tells TMZ ... the date of the wedding might have been the same as the Rivera/Big Sean wedding ... but it also happens to be Dorsey's birthday.
Arnold says he found out about the wedding six weeks ago and while he was initially surprised, he said, "We didn’t question him. We are very happy for him. We trusted them and want what they wanted."
Arnold also said the wedding was small, about 12 people total, and consisted of Naya’s family and Ryan’s family.
'Troubled' Dog Attacks
During Walk with Dog Whisperer
7/23/2014 8:15 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
Cesar Millan couldn't stop one of his gigantic clients -- a Great Dane -- from attacking a neighbor during a training session yesterday ... TMZ has learned.
Sources tell us the 'Dog Whisperer' star was walking a group of dogs, including the Great Dane, near his home in Studio City, CA -- and none of the dogs were leashed.
We're told one of Millan's neighbors was out walking his own dog ... and when the neighbor reached out to let the Great Dane sniff his palm ... the dog suddenly bit the man's hand and forearm.
We're told Cesar followed the man to the hospital where he was treated and released. Unclear, at this point, how badly he was injured.
A rep for Millan confirmed the attack, and says Cesar was walking a "troubled dog" as part of its training, when it got "spooked by a neighbor." The rep added, Cesar is still caring for the dog.
We don't know yet how big this dog was -- but adult Great Danes range from 100 to 120 pounds.
A source close to the victim tells us "he's healing," and is following up with a physician today.
Barack Was Right to Bail

Network rivalries aside, CBS honcho Les Moonves thinks President Barack Obama had no choice but to cancel his planned appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
TMZ broke the story ... the Prez was going to Kimmel's Hollywood studio at 3 PM Wednesday to appear on the show ... without a studio audience ... but he backed out.
Moonves said the appearance on a different network was no big deal ... but that Obama has too much going on right now in the world to hit up the late night shows.
Obama's press secretary said Tuesday given the 2 world crises it wasn't a good idea to appear on a comedy show.
Kimmel's people told TMZ we were flat out wrong about any Obama appearance on Kimmel Wednesday ... but the plan was in tact, to the point the Kimmel staff had to ante up their SSNs.
