Scary scene during Wednesday's matinee matchup between the Twins and the Mets ... first base umpire Hunter Wendelstedt was drilled in the head by a line drive -- and was forced to leave the game.

It went down in the top of the seventh inning as Tyrone Taylor was up to bat. The New York centerfielder roped a 0-0 pitch foul -- right at Wendelstedt's head.

The collision was so disturbing, the Mets' first base coach immediately waved for trainers to come over. Wendelstedt appeared to be in a significant amount of pain.

The spot shows 2 utility workers griping about their taxes as they walk down a hallway, and then open a door to a computer server room -- but they find a GOP congressman on his knees "servicing" a rich campaign donor ... you get the picture.

The ad is funded by a Democratic Super PAC called the Progress Action Fund that's clearly no friend to MAGA. As one of the group's founders put it, "MAGA is going to HATE this ad. NASTY but accurate."

Former NBA star Eric Bledsoe broke into his L.A. home during an argument with his girlfriend this week, law enforcement sources tell TMZ Sports ... and now, it appears he's publicly trying to make amends.

We're told neighbors called the cops regarding a domestic disturbance at Bledsoe's residence ... and when officers arrived, Bledsoe and his girlfriend, Briona Mae, were uncooperative.

Cops investigated the scene and determined an argument took place ... and during the spat, they concluded Bledsoe was locked out of the pad and forced his way back inside on his own.

The man who admitted to firebombing Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro's home says he did it to avenge Palestinian deaths in the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza.

Pennsylvania State Police say Cody Balmer made a 911 call around 3 AM Sunday -- about an hour after he hurled Molotov cocktails into Shapiro's home -- and said he wanted the Governor to know he "will not take part in his plans for what he wants to do to the Palestinian people."

During the call, Balmer also said, "Our people have been put through too much by that monster" ... referring to Shapiro, and added, the Governor needed to stop having his friends (presumably in Gaza) killed.
