A performance on "The Voice" hit close to home for Reba McEntire Monday, bringing up fresh memories of the stepson she recently lost to cancer.

In the latest episode of NBC's singing competition show, Team Reba artist Aubrey Nicole sang Martina McBride's "I'm Gonna Love You Through It" -- a song about a couple navigating through a cancer diagnosis.

After the moving rendition, Reba said, "Martina's a good friend of mine. I lost my oldest son because he did not win with cancer."

Justin Bieber's ticked off, and probably exhausted, after that epic Game 3 of the World Series ... and the native Canadian unloaded his frustration on homerun slugging Shohei Ohtani.

Check out the video ... the Grammy winner gave a thumbs down at LA.'s Dodger Stadium as Ohtani rounded the bases after one of his 2 homers. The Dodgers are, of course, playing against Bieber's beloved Toronto Blue Jays in a duel for the ages.

The "Sorry" singer bravely repped his team while rocking a #57 jersey with his name on the back. The name is just a coincidence, though, as #57 actually belongs to Jays pitcher Shane Bieber -- no relation.

The improv moment made zero sense since it came after he said he saw so many good-looking people among the troops, but also said, "I look at you and I see nothing but merit."

Go figure!

Gavin Newsom says he's done fighting for a chance to go toe-to-toe with Joe Rogan on issues ... dismissing JR as popular, but outdated, AKA "the Facebook of podcasting."

The California governor sat down Monday night with journalist Elex Michaelson on "The Story Is With Elex Michaelson," and during their 10 minute interview, Gavin slammed Rogan for dismissing his repeated requests to go on "The Joe Rogan Experience."

It appears the olive branch DDG extended to Halle Bailey earlier this month may be working ... 'cause they both agreed to drop their domestic violence order requests against one another.

In a new stipulation filed by the parties and signed off on by the judge, the exes worked out temporary custody issues for their 1-year-old, Halo, while agreeing to dismiss their respective DVRO requests. They each reserved the right to resurrect the DV claims in the event of any future incident of abuse ... but, it's a start to show they're trying to move past their differences.

NFL legend Adrian Peterson was seen slumped over at the wheel of his SUV on Sunday morning, just minutes before he was arrested for DWI.

The former Minnesota Vikings star was spotted dozing off in the driver's seat of his ride while he was at a Sugar Land, Texas gas station. A witness who photographed the former footballer at the scene tells TMZ Sports the 40-year-old's engine was still running while he was asleep, and his phone was still in his hand.

Law enforcement sources confirmed to us officers did, indeed, find Peterson in that manner.
